  1. Thanx Carl, I will check some other cities that are close by. If not, then Portland is option. She does noty have record of vaccinations from her childhood. So she will need to get some again.
  2. I will check with the other civil surgeon's. Unfortunately there are only three in Yakima. Thank you for all your help. I did not think WeiQin had to go thru the exam again.
  3. I have been getting conflicting reports about the medical examination. WeiQin had her examination in March of 2005 before she came to China. She gave the sealed envelope to the person when she arrived in the US in Seattle. I have read that she does not need another examination since she already had one. The paper I got from our local office says we have to submit form I-693 and that we MUST contact a doctor on the approved list. I called a doctor on the list and they told me she will need to have two visits and it would be the full examination. Does she really have to go thru all that again? We do need to get a vaccination suppliment, she has no record of her vaccinations. Please help, thanx, Jim
  4. Hello everyone, Here is a question that may have never been asked before. What if your fiance' is now in the US and you have some relationship issues to resolve before getting married. Is there any way to get an extension of the 90 days? Is there another way she can stay in the US until the issues are resolved. Is there another way she can stay in the US without getting married first. I thought things would be great after she arrived but we are having problems in our relationship. It is quite sad since we worked so hard to get this far. Thanx, Jim
  5. Yes, Yakima is in Washington It does sound like the name for a city in Russia. But it is an Indian (Native American) name. Yakima is a beautiful area. We grow many apples, pears, cherries and peaches. We also have some of the best wine in the US. Thanx everyone.
  6. Hello, WeiQin has arrived in Yakima on May 7th. No problems at all. What happens next after she has arrived? Is there a thread explaining the next steps with the with the INS department? SSN, Resident, Drivers License, etc... Thanx
  7. WeiQin is back in Beijing now. Her visa was approved on Friday the 25th. She had to pick it up on Monday the 28th late in the afternoon. She then had a 24 hour train ride back to Beijing. She is a tired girl. I am proud of her hard work. Soon she will be in the US. Maybe 3-4 weeks. She wants to spend some time with friends and family people before she leaves. But the important thing is, WE HAVE THE VISA !!!!!!!! Good luck to all to all of you that are pursuing your dream. It will come soon Life is good, and then it gets better !!!!!!
  8. I used digital photo's. I put them on a CD and took them to Walmart. I was able to get them printed out and they had the date on the back of the picture. I did this shortly after I returned from Beijing so the date would be close to the time when I was in China. The pictures look exactly like film camera photos. You cannot even tell they are digital. Plus I only put the pictures that I wanted to print on the CD.
  9. I called WeiQin at the hotel in GZ. She got her white slip and will get her visa on Monday afternoon. I could not be more happy and relieved. She said she was very surprised at how simple the questions were. 1. How did we meet. 2. When was the last time I was in China. 3. What does your fiance` do for a living. 4. Have you ever been married. She looked at our pictures, but never looked at the I-134 or other paperwork. WeiQin said she was a very pleasent woman. She said she was a black lady or a lady with very dark brown skin. Life is good!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Thank you all for the support. Tomorrow WeiQin will wake up and head to the consulate. I am looking forward to hearing the good news. I know it will be good news
  11. Hello everyone, WeiQin is on a train from Beijing to GZ. Unfortunately I was not able to be with her. Her sister went with her to keep her company. I have saved my vacation time from when she arrives in the US. Our interview for the K-1 visa is March 25th (Friday). I am fairly confident we will have no problems. I will call her hotel to see how her trip went and I will call at the end of the week to see how the interview went. I hope everything goes well, it has been almost a year since I first started the paperwork process. Our life journey is about to begin
  12. Today I received a reply to my email request for status of Wei Qin's interview date. The reply was "Your case is currently under the process to be scheduled. Please wait." Please wait, is this a joke? Do they think we have not already been waiting? Maybe I am over reacting, but I think they could give me a little more information. Is this just the standard "hurry up and wait" reply?
  13. I want to send an email to Guangzhou to try and find out the status of the interview date. What information should I incude in the email. What is the current email address I should use? Thanx in advance, you all have been very helpful.
  14. Thank you for all your help. I sent the money WU. There was af few problems, but it was my fault. Now that I know the drill it will be a lot easier next time. Thanx again.
