We went to the health dept in Knoxville TN and got her shots there. THe doctor there was a Civil Surgeon and did not get us to do anything but the shots and a tb test.The nurse there told us the doctor would not fill out the form we needed. I asked the doctor myself and she filled it out They did not ask about income either.

In the long run the major airlines are cheaper. I flew 2 times useing Continental and got a Chase Continental credit card with 25000 bonuse miles so with all the miles added up the 3rd trip to China was almost free. Since the 3rd trip i got 27000 miles just useing the card to buy gas and whatever else you use a Credit card for.My 2nd trip to China they were late for my connecting flight in Beijing so they put me up in a hotel and flew me out the next morning, and gave a 10 percent coupon off the next flight.

I bought Li a computer in the US and brought it to China. Her Uncle added a program to make it Chinese. HP tech support in China would not help her, they told her she has to us HP tech support in the US. HP in China and the US do not honor each other warrenties.

Jiaying took her test (in Houston) with a live translator, who was able to translate the questions for her. The answers were pictorial. When she took the driver's test, no translation was needed (pointing works just fine) They told me they use to do that. That is changed now of course ask someone else might get a different answer>

Li got her driver’s permit today. In Beaumont TX or Houston TX it depends who you talk to if you can use an electronic translator. The first time we went to Beaumont driver’s license place the lady told us what papers we would need and I asked her if Li could use her electronic translator to take her test. The lady said yes she could. We went back the next day with the correct paper work. We got a different lady there so Li asked her if she could use her electronic translator the lady asked the lady next to her and she said it is up to you. So she asked her boss the boss said no. The boss said she could use a paper dictionary. Li took her test without anything. She did not pass had a score of 65. In TX they only have Spanish and English test. So today we went to Houston TX to take her test. I asked the lady if Li could use a electronic dictionary. She said she did not know so she went and ask someone and came back and said she could use it. So Li took her test and passed with an 84. So now comes the fun part and teaching her how to drive.

I was never sure if i needed a license to drive the motor bike. They said i did not need one. Guilin is only a 2 hour train ride from Liuzhou my wife's hometown. It is cheaper to fly to Guilin Than Liuzhou. We had some great times in Gulin and Yangzhou.

How could anyone miss the interview??? Li was so nervous when i got there,after a few days she became relaxed and i really think it help her confidence for the interview.
