  1. Yesterday I submitted the I-751 for my wife for removal of condition on her CR-1. I sent it to Vermont. Who did you send to and how long did it take for them to respond?
  2. Ah yes . . . . . . . . . . . . on to NVC. . . kinda brings me back . . . I recall it as an anxious time: wait then call, wait then call, repeat Sooooo. .. . . limit calls to one per shift (AM and PM) or (day ¨C mid ¨C night) USCIS was easy just tune in the computer and presto answer how to track the NVC with their electronic filling is now looming. oh yeah. . . awesome f@#$$%& news!
  3. I used China Love. They suck. It took me $200 to figure out the fraud. The best thing about them is good ridance. Moved on to AFF. Awesome!
  4. YIKES! ! ! ! Who gets the money out of the bank when a spouse dies!!! The bank? Uncle Chairmen? No wonder no one likes the banks in China
  5. Yep, having a baby next month implies knowing him before, unless it is someone else's baby? Don¡¯t answer that question
  6. I didn't pay attention to this post....just click and go for instant gratification . . . Aafter reading the post, it reminded me that I stalled for a long time looking at a picture, YUP it was 24. My god....a look at history as it unfolds before your very eyes. An amazing statement of civility and culture considering the living conditions. WOW! ! ! ! ! Thank you!
  7. Randy I presume you are doing this all from China on a computer purchased in USA. And you can access BOA account (from China) to XFR the $$$ to BOC as you outline. So let me see if I got this..... BUT...Because of the fees you execute trade using yourTDAmeritrade account online?
  8. "The court in central Henan province had sentenced Shi Jianfeng to life imprisonment for fraud for avoiding highway tolls that added up to more than 3.68 million yuan ($560,000), the official Xinhua News Agency reported. He was also fined 2 million yuan ($302,000). Shi mounted fake military license plates on his two trucks so they could avoid paying tolls more than 2,300 times between May 2008 and January 2009 when he ran a business transporting gravel. Military vehicles don't have to pay highway tolls." That is 1600Y or $240 (at 6.6 Y/$) every toll, YIKES!!! YEAH!....OFF with his HEAD!!! (for getting caught)
  9. please don't be insulted anyone, I'm just nosey....to be BLUNT: You are older than her, so she will be alone in the USA many years after you transition to the "underworld". If she is not a "US Citizen" can she continue receiving your social security benifits? Can she receive medicare and medicade?
  10. I found the process tough and confusing...until I realized what I was doing (after all was said and done). It is really easy as mentioned above...is quick also. Make your statement notorize it get the state secretary seal get the China consulate seal use prepaid envelopes....less than 1 month total once the Chinese consulate seal is on it, that means anyone in Chinese government can accept it, which they will good luck in China!!!
  11. They only way to see the bubble is because it POPS!!! The only way that the Chinese real estate bubble is going to pop is if the Chinese government starts to require a property tax. In that event, those properties owned for speculation suddenly loose value. Worse is if the property is kept empty, as a form of savings then it's reasonable to expect the owner to be a motivated seller. That has some cascading consequences! POP!!! I see no other weakness.
  12. To celebrate the arrival of Yan I bought $14k of the TRPrice Asia mutual fund one year ago. I told her it was her fund. It made about what she used to make when she worked in China. That means she can go to work without leaving the house.
  13. First ..my wife is from Nanning,Guangxi,P R China!!! and I agree...I met her there and left with a strong sense of opportunity but also a sense that there are serious problems there. Second...Me too. retire in China. The buck goes a lot farther even at 5.5. And I can't exactly be sure why it has a retirement advantage. Third...IMO I am tired of people saying America is going down hill. They have no vision. America has been going down hill since someone complained about the price of tea. yeah we are going down hill but it's nothing new, it's just new to the whiners. America is forever going to be a land of opportunity even if you can't stand the current administration. So balance the good of China with one hand and the good of America on the other hand. Where would you like to raise your son/daughter? It's a close call, but I sense China on the horizon.
  14. My wife with a green card and 7 months of residence got her learner permit in NY. She is almost ready for the road test. She has a tendancy to run red lights. I told her red light in America means blood, your blood. The car is a big concern. Ford Focus (used) safe, quality, $14k but many for less Ford Fusion also great
  15. Well that is a funny topic! I guess a social benifits is not the right to vote. However, does being a PRC citizen mean loosing the SS benifit? I've paid a lot of $$$ into that system and hope to get some return.
  16. For those of you who have been in China a long time and intend on being there for a while longer...I think you are doing whatever it takes to keep your China Visa, one way or another. You have a wife or a job and can expect to continue to renew your visa easily, without return to the US. So you live in China and you have a valid US passport. Can you tell me what you will do when the US passport expires? BTW. . . . How many of CFL members are living in China? Do you intend on remaining? Anything helping your decision to remain or return to the US?
  17. China is pretty darn big...22 days of adventure starting where? do the culture stuff, it is soooooo awesome go to a park and stroll. take a three wheel taxi ride to the other side of town. keep the camera ready.
  18. docu-drama and edu-drama at their best. The way this stuff sells is to make claims that somehow it is really bad, or how offensive it is that someone makes a profit or it is all hush hush no one will talk about it. The strange part is somehow people think that no animals are harmed when they buy saran wrapped tenderloin and no blood or guts is seen. Personally I like the conglomerates IMO they have done a great job of ensuring progress when it comes to feeding billions of people safely. I do not want to rely on the dude down the street to be my butcher.
  19. NICE TO HEAR!!!! congratulations!!!
  20. look for global thermonuclear stuff under tic-tac-toe CAUTION: if you engage the WOOPER, the only termination sequence is a back door process. you basically have to overload it using one player. the codes are definitely there, good luck...
  21. ummmmm OK BUT...... does that mean the conversion rate $$ to RMB will begin to drift down? (1 dollar buys... say...5 RMB)
