  1. My wife also insisted NO, wait until in China. I think the best thing is take them to a family dinner. Personally I was glad I had some gifts for very important people, but in general, it seems to matter little. Most gift stuff is 'Made in China'!!
  2. Only logical conclusion: Some of you guys here are either blind or have tastes in women that only a poodle would envy. I had a ringside seat at the spectacle and though the first groups of female soldiers (in normal combat uniforms) were good looking, those that came at the end in the red uniforms were as fugly as could be and had thunder thighs. I think the technical term for their unit is the Muffin Top Brigade. god I hate the ugly truth... I also thought they were HOT and the side arm was a very nice touch, very appealing. (not to mention those boots!!! ) NOW we find out that the real army is not so attractive. Bad ol' China covering up the truth again!!!!
  3. Where is your candidate Tsap Seui?

    9-11 Day

I was at work, 30 miles north on the Hudson. from my window, saw a plane heading south, never saw that flight path. hmmmm ahhhhh nice day. 20 minutes secretary came runnig around squaking and babbliing like a chicken shock and horror Later many NYC friends describe the sonic impact they FELT on their windows, their first WTF indication. I do not forgive the mothers and girlfriends who whelp this evil I DO NOT FORGET
  5. if you're confused dump him easy rule is: MEN chase, WOMEN choose. If he isn't chasing you, you can never choose him. There should be no confusion when a guy is interested. If you think it's to long a wait, then it is, no matter any 'excuse'. there is another saying: sh!! or get off the pot. IMO
  6. Yep, the visa application form does have boxes to check for multi entry, and specify longer stays. http://www.oasischinavisa.com/forms/China_...cation_Form.pdf However it is up to the visa issuing officer to decide stay lengths and entry count. In warpedboard's case, wife has family in China so can justify a multi-entry 60 day visa. In OP's case he has only a fiancee in China, so may be restricted to a 6 month 2 entry 30 day visa as a visitor. me = confused!! OP (okie) has been in China longer than 30 days. Will stay longer than 30 days . What does the 30 day mean?
  7. My situation was much worse separated 07 met new lady online while married but separated. went to china, still married but separated. divorced 12/08 married in China 02/09 pink I think you got a little of a bum rap from the VO. I expect you have an easy overcome. Sorry about the delay
  8. If your Visa Case number (from the NVC) starts with GUZ, then the consulate will wait for the hardcopy. regrdless of the electronic receipt.
  9. Appaullo, I you have it, could you add the NVC out date? Also, if you can, list the required hard copies? Frankly I was a little confused by the website. Nice timeline there. The electronic thing is really a step up for the folks at GUZ. My total time w/o wife = ~7 months and that is faster than many. Regardless separation blows, and I am glad yours is much less. Best wishes for the interview! Mike
  10. you are an 'all electronic'? You do not have the GUZ case file number? I think you may see interview before December. Could be wrong this is a 'new this year process'. I wonder if you have to bring hard copies of anything to the interview. I hope you keep detailed updates here. best wishes for you. Mike
  11. now that you have at least admited the problem . . . . 12 step process?
  12. yes, i'd get a rice cooker, rice, and something for flavor like sweet potatoes or pumpkin and you could make Öà. you can also use the rice cooker for steaming dumplings which are also good for breakfast. dumplings are good, but can you make a good dipping source ? ground chili peppers fried in oil, add some diced garlic, tie together with black vinegar. I¡¯m getting hungry just thinking about! BEER! dipping sauce recipe I did NOT know you could put things other than rice in a rice cooker, for that matter though what advantage is a rice cooker over anything which boils water....rhetorical question...I'll just get it. You can put pumpkin/sweet potatoes in it? Dumplings I have looked high and low with no success. BUT all kinds of ravioli can be had! HOWEVER I can't find any sauce except of course ...Kikkoman Soy . . ....it's all purpose. . . Ravioli for breakfast? (I guess the dear Goya hot sauce is never acceptable?)¡.

Haha just a joke there
  15. What would she eat for any meal? I hope I can guess, but breakfast??? uh oh clueless!! Yes I know her normal selection, IF in China. But I'm wondering regarding food I can buy in USA to have available for Sunday morning after her Saturday long flight. Remember first impression goes a long way. I guess the left over order out Dominoes pizza from dinner is OK??? B)
  16. DHL best....but you will pay over 1 lb you risk getting opened at Customs. (ie delay)
  17. notarized!!! I am just amazed!! I submited mine, EOR not notarized, to detail the "marriage/divorce facts" and it was not asked for. Tho, maybe they saw it in the reams of papers Yan brought with her. just forthe record: my divorce in USA to wedding in China = 2 months.
  18. clerical - sales - meidical journal office clerk - also another odd job I can't remember
  19. BTW this is not a culture thing. My daughter dates no man without a job. No other guy is welcome. I'm not interested in prospects or blah blah blah. It's part of growing up. No job?, you just are not marriage quality. IMO
