Focus on the interview. In my case, sending her to school meant little. My wife went to the interview, some English but required Chinese interview. Therefore: they know communication must be investigated. This is at the heart of a bonafide relationship. Gratned this was a CR1 interview. My opinion is consider: How can YOU improve the language gap? What documents can you provide to show YOUR commitment to communicate? At the interview, according to my wife, my efforts paid off more than my sending her to school.

I called DOS everyday so that I could give my wife a heads up to expect the P4. My NVC out was mid May, interview mid Aug. The CR1 math is add 3 months to the NVC out. THEN your interview is +/- 2 weeks from that date. Also no need to bug NVC if you are in customs. Find the DHL number and watch for delivery, then resume bugging DOS not NVC. EASY TO SAY: regardless you'll be fine, don't let the not knowing get you! Mike

very interesting...I thought for sure we were due for a blue on somewhat similar issues... I sent the EOR and my transcripts of language ahead of time anticipating the bonafide relationship and language barrier things, resp. I'm not exactly sure what worked but I still think it was close call, because they asked her about some chinese I had written. don't argue with her (get used to it) Write it up. When you read your words it helps you ensure she has all the details. If history is a sign, they will ask something, god knows what...
