  1. I think there was luck involved here. Luck favors the prepared. Seems to me that they asked exactly the questions I have read here and they focused exactly on the weakest points of our petition. And had I not been a member this would have been blue. The experience and war stories of the core group and fringe has benefited me. You guys gave me the heads up on how to prep Yan. I can not thank you enough. below is a little recon for: Juan of Dan and Juan 8/17 best wishes Ling of Tom and Ling 8/18 best wishes Katnreno 8/18 best wishes Shadowman 8/26 best wishes Yan of Sean/Yan 8/27 best wishes Mei of Steveltx/mei3935 8/31 best wishes Qing of David Lee 9/10 best wishes if you should be here and aren't, please post more often so we all benifit!! I sleep for a very long time, and now feel much better. I know that many people hope and blessing us and I thank them. And we also bless all those who have experienced similar success. Smart as you and your six months of careful preparation, can I get a smooth red stripe, my dear, Yan kiss you kiss you kiss you! ! ! Visa process: 4:30 am to get up: taking a bath, shower Make-up 5:00 minutes 5:30 Note visa review Six minutes to drink a glass of water, do not want to eat breakfast Seven minutes walk down the stairs, walk at the entrance to the consulate to line up a lot of people have been waiting for, and I ranked in the middle, has been standing there and so on, probably around 8:00 to start checking passports and meet with the letter. Then enter the hall, take the elevator straight up 5th Floor, safety inspection, an appointment letter to check into the visa hall, began to call names, to pay medical staff package asked me some questions (Who do you apply? He is done about them? In Which work? I was done about them? you married it? It is not a party member? ago is not the party members?), has been named after its number, according to fingerprints, and then sworn in, waiting to sign face. Ah! I actually was the first one ~! ! I think since I was the first one, then I would definitely be passed ~! I have 23 windows, the number is 1003, I met a beautiful Chinese girl, very serious, his face did not smile. My heart is in¿ñÌø~ fluent in English, she asked me, I do not understand, I said, my bad English, please use English, please? 1. Please show your passport. 2. Who do you apply? 3. You how to communicate? 4. Do you have photos? 5. You know how. 6. When he first came to China? Then the second time? 7. When you engaged? 8. When you get married? 9. The first time how long. 10. Why do you have the Chinese. 11. His wife is the former two are not U.S. citizens. I answered, she asked another woman the United States, the U.S. woman to re-read all the information. They discussed the use of 23 minutes in English. China visa officer asked me, "Your husband had to send money to you? Him several times?" After a minute, and then the visa officer said: "You passed." I am happy to say "Thank you ~!" To take over the red stripe. This is the whole process of visa I really thank God! I finally passed, our efforts paid off ~! Dear I love you I love you I love you ~! ! Yan you ~
  2. want to, but that dang day job...... I figure the vacation time is better spent here in USA to help her do the transition thing. It would really suck for her to get here, then I leave her alone in the house so I can work.. mike
  3. let's see if I got this... 6 day train to Beijing - train to GUZ hang out in GUZ see the sights train to Beijing - 6 day train(s) to England - cruise ship to USA POE Do you know Tom and Ling are in GUZ on the 18th also? I forget why...is something important going on???? maybe you'll be in the same area!!! POE on the West side? with the other cruise ships???? you live in my area of the world? or are there more trains?
  4. yeah....what Pommey said!!! yesteday, I got pink . . . you will too.... BTW . . . . . job of husband,,, the number one job of husband is: Give wife genuine confidence, prevent her from dwelling and fretting. Don't submit to your demons, let her see only calm, cool and confident!
  5. We, the masses come and go, like so many visas at GUZ¡ But the ever present prolific writers and responders of CFL remain. To you I say congratulations. Yup darling wife got pink, but don¡¯t thank me. Thank the core group of CFL writers. They make the CFL Forum live. The CFL forum lives only because of the constant attention paid by them. Each newly posted topic seems to have a fast response from one or more of them. Us masses, like me have a refuge; we thrive on the attention in the Forum. Us masses squabble and go. The core group of CFL writers see the same problems month after month. They relentlessly delve into ¡°our topic de-jour¡± add a little banter to the latest ¡°it¡¯s new to me¡± topics and keep it interesting. Us masses keep the core group happy with our latest twist and they add a little nugget of news or humor, either the heads up or the means for us masses to escape the tedium of waiting while we stress over every nuance. The core group lends one heck of a lot of credibility. Their time and experience supports the din from us masses. I think that¡¯s why the forum lives. Us masses are attracted to this conversation. The conversation is never quite, thanks to the core group. An understanding welcome is always here at CFL. I gave my wife little to work with: quick divorce, no common language, some age issue, quick romance; the usual. A very similar non-CFL guy got blue which rotted to a white. CFL let me know about these extras: EOR, lots of relationship and family pictures, front load, Mr. Yang, the kitchen sink, 3 years of tax returns from the IRS (very slick!!) and more. (can we drop the language barrier issue? No? Then, let it be known I did snap and last minute emailed her a copy of ¡°language things¡±.) Without the CFL Forum, I WOULD BE IN BLUE HELL FADING TO WHITE clueless with the lawyers hand in my pocket. Yeah, yeah, I may have got the PINK without CFL. BUT my wife said: ¡°you built up my confidence¡±. Quote! I am positive my confident wife pulled out a PINK interview. I think my extra effort gave her so much more confidence in the interview, she could have knocked ¡®em dead even if I was 90 on my fifth foreign wife and she was hard core CCP with HIV and multiple previous visa attempts/rejections. Could be wrong, Yan has yet to ante up with the interview actuals. That is coming and I look forward to adding more to this topic. I will add that Yan is totally happy. Today, Yan is happy for the Pink. Tomorrow, she is happy (I hope) because I smartened up. Sometimes, it¡¯s slow going with the red tape of bureaucracy. I recommend catching a little Twisted and Middle ¡°wisdom¡±. Yup, about my Chinese wife, she is and will always be. I understand I will never understand. Yes and ok but, I think her future happiness is, in part, from things I get from CFL Forum. OK soooo¡this was not a question, it¡¯s more like congratulation TO YOU who deserve it. Those who make the forum live; the Core Group of the CFL writers deserves the congratulations. For you, just bask in the glow of another pink think or whatever the heck you can do to accept my sincere thanks! No need to respond: a newbie, possibly a code blue like me has probably just registered and needs some attention! I list some, I forget some and dang there are some I remember but can¡¯t find. Randy W Sebastian warpedbored DavidZixuan tsap seui jin979 dnoblett donahso Tony n Terrific Smitty chilton747 Tom and Ling NUWORLD Pommey Yuanyang LeeFisher3 chengdu4me et. al. + a lot!!! Again to the CORE GROUP of CFL WRITERS: THANK YOU!!
  6. JohnP, Are to be a permanent resident? Are you planning to be a citizen? Is your current visa for work? I recall you are teaching English right? Mike
  7. This is merely the result of idles hands waiting for the interview. 1. Lord of the Rings (trilogy, extended version) 2. Kill Bill (vol 1 and 2) 3. tsap seui - 12 step process thread under: Consulate Process: P-3 ~ Interview: I'm kinda' snapp'n out here ! ! ! ! !, is anyone waiting for interview date??? 4. see how many emoticons you can work into a story!! any other ideas??? B)
  8. katnreno, (how many times can you change your picture??) 8/18 was supposed to be the day for my interview. I requested it in April...I mean ...I projected it I knew the interview had good probability of August if I was on the ball with paperwork. I picked 18 because ..well .. it is a good number... I think your fortune is good. Dan-Juan, 8/17 I don’t know about that number. But you have a lot of good things in your relationship. Even a bad day with the worst VO, they will give you a visa!! Me? 8/13??? Puuuuuu-leeeee-se I need a new topic. I’m snapping out again!!!! This has all the makings of a long week.
  9. Congratulations.... and WELCOME to the United States of America!! What did you feed her for the first meal???? inquiring minnds need to know!!
  10. Dan, My wife left for GUZ today. She says they can't do the medical on Monday, so on Tuesday she will get her's. Go figure! She's staying at Yang's. Friday - I start one of two topics!!! Pink is good or What is the best way to become a resident of China!!!
  11. katnreno, I have read that you can ask for your language to be used at the interview. mmmmm..... will your wife ask for Russian? That would be worth flying to China to see!!! I would go just to see the look on their face!!!
  12. katnreno, I agree, YES it has been quiet. But that doesn't mean I'm not snapping out. the lull before the storm. And the next 4 days..... hopefully ending the week ending the month and then after which is that not right? I didn't make these emoticons...so I guess I'm allowed to use them however tastelessly I choose right?
  13. HaoRan, ? ? ? ? why are you in the "pray for me" line ????. you are golden!!!! look at it: •Married Sept 25 2007 •NOA1 June 2008, 9 months later. •NOA2 January , 2009 •July 2009, 22 months later. Interview on Aug 10th ALMOST 2 years later. You marriage has lasted longer than many! Seriously, how can that be overlooked? Your pink slip, is just a formality. I will pray for you....I pray you tell me how you did it.!!! And quickly so I can pass the word to my wife, who is on the seat Thursday!. BUT I wish you and wife :
  14. Shadowman I can not for the life of me figure how you have anything to worry about. A face to face relationship has to count so much more than stupid emails. In fact it amazes me they let email count. You guys have overcome language barrier, so that is no problem. You have a good job so the $$ is N/A. And so what about the 5 months; let it be a few weeks, I am totally sure the pictures you have show a very caring and loving relationship. That is the bonafide deal. you can so TOTALLY relax. If there is one party I am planning on....it's yours!!! Mike
  15. thanks...I'm stressing a little. Thank god for my Yan. She is amazing! She knows how to relate perspective. She promises to bring home the Pink. Knowing full well that her friend in a nearby city just got blasted with a white slip due to inability to communicate, Yan remains totally calm. I'll be very glad when this coming week is over.
  16. YOU MAKE EXCELLENT POINT, I think. now if I can translate that ...... I think you all are helping me out.. VERY APPRECIATED
  17. Thanks Randy W tsap seui Once again...I'm snapping out.... I read and reread you guys... Then I try to cram all the advice down my dolls throat.... And tell her to be calm. (she calms me!!) My next topic is "How do I overcome the Blue before it turns White?' I did send her to English class for the past 1/2 year. and we each have a translator. I can only hope for a realistic VO and the denied English teacher was in the CCP!!!
  18. Yes, we speak different languages. A red flag because we are not fluent in a common language. After all, if the VO has to do the interview in Chinese and there is one thing to make a VO suspicious, this proves you can¡¯t communicate. Any more flags and it¡¯s AMF!! So tell me, those of you were using translators and sign language while separate, now that you live together, how do you think you overcame this? Did you say that she took a few months of English lessons? Did you say that we both manage, and it¡¯s OK? Is there anyone who thinks this issue was the sole reason for white/blue? How did you overcome it?
  19. what is the first food you give your wife????? it is important to make a good first impression right?? fast food? home cooked? romantic dinner out? Go shopping let her cook?
  20. Is there a direct flight from Hawaii to China? Everything I saw is almost worse than JFK to Beijing. !!!! HAHAHAHA...your wife! I wonder how she would react if instead of PARADISE, she were to live . ... mmmm say in ... . . . New York!!! If you live in a more realistic part of the USA!!! Like the rest of us! A little bitter cold, no good food .... Chinese takeout, no Asian community nearby maybe she would be more predictable!! Although...would you like it better if she wanted to live in China??? At times..I hope I can have the opportunity to live in China. BUT, that can happen only if my wife has difficulty transitioning from China. I would hate to see my wife go thru some of the difficult immigrant issues so common in the USA. Sounds like your having fun!!!
  21. YOUR CASE IS SIMILAR TO MINE....I THINK...mmm . . . . . FOR THE MOST PART. soooooooooooooooo !!! my wife and I see pink on the horizon. thanks btw....congrats!
  22. and if gods attention isn't with us, then watch out GUZ! Tomorrow or next day Okie2 will let us know their mood, in 2 weeks me, then Dan & Juan. After a long dry spell of CR1 interviews, you will have good information. I think what sucks is no longer anything to do, or write or interact about.....just wait and not snap out!!
