  1. If they are Chinese movies, I wouldn't think that would be a problem. You can always mail them home for $50.00 probably.
  2. Thats great to know, thanks for the reply. I'll have her start working on it, but it sounds like we may have to wait until we get the checklist from NVC.
  3. My wife and I are going through HK, she is originally from mainland china but is now an LPR in HK. We got one from China and the way we understand it, a police certificate from China is good for all of China even HK and Macao, so we didn't plan on needing one from HK. Wish I could be more help. I would be very interested in hearing how the electronic processing goes, I thought that was only for people going through GUZ. I just got my AOS bill today, so I guess I'll be finding out soon.
  4. Wow, what a great story. Welcome to America and Southern California Xiaomin.
  5. In the immortal words of 38 Special, "hold on loosely but don't let go, if you cling too tightly you're going to loose control". Sounds like you learned that before it was too late. Good luck on your journey, it's a thrill of a lifetime and it's clear that you are enjoying it to the fullest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMxqPRdR36I

  7. She sounds like a mature, level headed, caring girl...she sounds like one of the good ones. Go see her. Have fun in China...the food is awesome...hehe
  8. I don't know, Each time I was in China with Jen, we would visit both types of places. The amount of people in the KFCs and McDonalds was incredible. As for Carl's, IMO it is the best of the chain burger places, sorry In n Out Burger. It is a truly a charbrioled burger, not fried or grilled then microwaved like BK. Now, if they sell this in China.....Big Carl. i sometimes feel like i'm reinforcing a stereotype when i show up at a mcdonalds or kfc in china. they think it's all we eat! last time i went to one they gave us the wrong flavor milkshake, forgot part of our order, and gave us too much change back. True...and I don't think I'll ever get used to sit down, knife and fork Pizza Hut with oysters on the half shell on the menu...
  9. Cold pizza and a beer ought to start the day well!
  10. Congratulations!!! I filed CR1 in May and am stil waiting for NOA2.
  11. My Aiai is a tour guide in Hong Kong. Fun job, she likes it.
  12. Lovebane, It was never my intent to denegrate you. It sounds like you were doing the things you needed to do to get it done. I was trying to offer encouragement and it may have come across wrong....I apologize for that if it came off sounding bad. I sincerely wish you and your wife the best of luck.
  13. I have to go with @mike&jin on this and say "man up", give them what they want and nevver look back...always forward, onward and upward. Good luck, but you don't need it, just get it done.
  14. Welcome to the USA Amanda. I hope you are happy here. Enjoy your time off from work and responsibility. My wife is a fantastic cook, I can hardly wait until she is here to cook delicious Chinese food. Like most Chinese woman, she is a "foodie", so I worry that she will not like the food here...but I have a few, what I think are fail safe meals I want her to try. Like Feathers268 said, it's hard not to like a good steak, potato and salad. The chicken feet, not so much...
  15. Congratulations!!!!! I would also like to extend thanks to the core.
