Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law being denied again. I don't understand their decision. My mother-in-law passed on first try in Shanghai and is here now visiting for 6 months. She has a son in Shanghai and daughter here. As Carl said, keep trying.

Welcome to CFL Lisy, Our 11 year old speaks both Chinese and English and will we taking Spanish next year. She has been here 2 years and is a A-B student. Our 18 month daughter is already saying words in Chinese and English. I don't think your child will have any problems.

My mother-in -law is here on the B-Visa. It is a 1 year multiple entry. Customs in ORD gave her a 6month stay. The B-Visa is the only one I know.

My Mother-In-Law Arrived, After being diverted to STL due to bad weather in Chicago and arriving 2 1/2 hrs. late, she made it through customs in about 1/2 hr. Customs gave her a 6 month stay, even though China gave her a 1 year mutiple entry visa.

Hope things go better this time for Nicola's grandparents. Ella's mother has her interview on Jan. 21st. in Shanghai, we are hoping they will grant her visa on the first visit.
