  1. Robert, I'm packing my bags and moving to your place! It sounds like paradise to me. I can understand why Limei is so happy there. Wendy is from a rural village in Jilin Province, but lived in Beijing for the past seven years. Now, we are both in Jackson, MS. Jackson is a small city by most standards. We own 50 acres out in the country and have access to another 500 acres of family land out in the country an hour away from our home, so we go there pretty often and enjoy fishing, hunting and ATV riding, etc. Wendy has also really adapted well to her new environment. I'm glad to read about your good times. Juette
  2. I'd send in the AOS even if you do not have everything. You'll get RFEd for the missing documents, but you'll get your I-485 in before the fees change.
  3. I'm sorry to read your bad news. Chilton's advice sounds good as he, unfortunately, is going down the same road as you. I wish you the best of luck in getting this resolved.
  4. We mailed our AOS paperwork to USCIS via USPS Express Mail on 4/27. When can I expect to receive a notice of AOS Received from USCIS?
  5. We married on 2/9, but she entered on 1/25. Do we have to do AOS within a certain time period? Thanks, Juette
  6. I'm glad that you got it all worked out, Ron. Wendy and I married on my exwife's birthday!
  7. I too think that she is just angry that you went out and bought the nice, new tv over her objections. I understand your reasoning to go and buy it anyway, but now you have to deal with the aftermath. My new wife is not happy with my eBay addiction. Every day for four days straight packages have been arriving. I think I need to hide the items and then just let them appear somewhere. Maybe she will think I have had this item for a long time. : ) LOL It is hard to let a 32'' TV just appear, though.
  8. Reading stories like this makes me think that the statement "America - The Land of the Free," is becoming less true each and every day. Don't get me wrong, I love our country, but laws like these have the potential of eroding all for which we stand.
  9. http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/ This is a cool link for SOs that are looking for an English name. It ranks names by popularity for each year.
  10. Dennis, very good points. Also, I'd like to add that we in the good ole USA judge a book by it's cover, too. During the week, I'm in a business suit and tend to get treated with respect wherever I go. When I'm on a personal day wearing my cargo shorts, a tshirt and tennis shoes, I get treated differently.
  11. Paula, some of us Americans still dress professionally.
  12. I'm glad to hear that things are going well with Sadie.
  13. No doubt, that is a great idea. I know a few we could send them. : ) I bet Donald Trump would like to send them Rosie.
  14. Well, I don't want them curbing young and never married ladies either.
  15. When my SO gets frustrated with me she starts speaking in Chinese to me. I'm sure I do not want to know what she is saying. Also, if she can not think of the English words, she will speak the words in Chinese. LOL, even though my Mandarin vocabulary is 25 words or less.
  16. Congrats! I know you must both be very excited. Don, has summed up your options pretty well. Finances and work permitting, it sounds like the best option is for you to visit China for the wedding and then you can return to the USA together.
  17. I think all you can do is wait and provide them exactly what they want. I'd be hesitant to email them at this point.
  18. Wow, only five months to P3! Your case is blazing through the system. Let's hope it keeps going at this pace.
  19. Congrats on the speedy green card! Also, thanks for your detailed timeline. It is a great reference for Wendy and I, as she may be in the USA in one month if all goes well at her interview. I wish more members kept detailed timelines like yours.
  20. My SO only has a copy of my complete passport. It is not a notarized copy. Should I express mail her my actual passport? Thanks
  21. CONGRATS! We are a few weeks ahead of you. I'll let you know what questions we get asked, once we have interview on 1/4.
