Ron, About the only thing you can do now is wait. Wait 30 days and then start calling this number every week: 1-202-663-1225 DOS. They can tell you if the hard copy has arrived at Guangzhou. My case was mailed on 8/11 and DOS is advising that the hard copy (electronic copy is there) has still not arrived. Remember that the cases sometimes get held up in customs. Hang in there buddy. I just called DOS and they advised that the electronic copy of our file was at Guangzhou, but the the hard copy has not arrived. Our petition was forwarded to Guangzhou on August 11. Is it normal for it to take this long for the hard copy to arrive? I know it has to clear customs, but I would think nearly two months time would be long enough for this to happen.

Has anyone received a P3 lately? I'm hoping that Guangzhou will start churning them out any day now.

I really do not for sure know it is there, but it has been over a month since it was mailed from NVC. I have been trying to call the toll number at Guangzhou, but have not been able to get it to work so far.

I would advise you to have the letter in case it is needed. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Last night I tried calling the Guangzhou number where you use the pin # that you have to purchase. Well, I called and got a recording in English and Mandarin that would say for English please press 1, but when I pressed 1 the recording would just continue on a loop in both English and Mandarin. Has anyone else had this same problem? Any ideas on what I was doing wrong?

Charles, I do not have a sample letter, but I would think the less you say the better. I would keep it simple and just request that they send you a copy of the NOID as soon as it is available. It may be the five previous marriages that is making the VO nervous about your file, but personally, I feel that the previous marriages are irrelevant unless they involved you being married to immigrants. I just read that entire link and it is great information. It seems that the thing to do is for Chilton to respond to the NOID. This may be an opportunity to turn this thing around and get it back on track. Chilton, be sure to call your service center and get updates on when to expect the NOID. Also, to be safe, send a written request by certified mail to your service center, requesting a copy of the NOID. Apparantly, some of the service centers do not automatically send out the NOID rulings to the petitioner. Obviously, they think Chilton or his SO have misrepresenting the facts on this. Chilton, do you have any clue as to what they feel you or your SO misrepresented? Has your SO been a potential visa beneficiary in the past? Juette

How do I track our case now that it has left NVC? Our K-1 petition was sent to Guangzhou on August 11 and I'm anxious to know if it has arrived yet. Will they send me a letter once it arrives there? Can I call NVC for updates? Thanks in advance for any and all info and comments.

Well, I finally got an email that our case was approved and the NOA2 is in the mail. I'm EXCITED!!!!! : ) I just got off of the phone with my SO, but I'm about to call her back and let her know the good news. I hope everyone else caught up in IMBRA gets their NOA2's very soon. I also put in an offer on a new home for my SO and I last night. I have been house hunting for about three months now. It looks like things may be going in the right direction for a change. Juette
