  1. So glad you got her done! Have a great life together.
  2. Great News, Congratulations and Good Luck!
  3. Congratulations! I only sent my I-129F on the 24th, so, it must be exciting to get to Step 2.
  4. When I went through LAX on return trip, the lines were long and not moving very fast for non U.S. citizens. It had to be at least a 2 hour wait.
  5. I would be interested to know how many actually get deported? From what I have seen and know about in my area, very few, if any. I personally know of several Thai's and Vietnamese who have over stayed their visas by two or more years. They get married, have children and seem to live happily ever after in the good ol USA.
  6. Hey, I know how to spell congratulations. ha ha ha
  7. What a thrill it must be. Contratulations and have a wonderful life together.
  8. Congratulations and the best of everything to you!
  9. I personally want to thank Phil for all his help when he was in China. He and his Yun helped my SO and gave her great confidence. Thanks again, Phil Ron
  10. Clink, clink, clink, clink -- the sound of my glass touching yours as I toast to my I-129F petition - mailed at last. I checked it, double checked it, triple checked it until I couldn't see straight. Thanks Mike for your help and thanks to everyone. Here's hoping!!!!!!
  11. Congratulations on your marriage and I absolutely know how you feel about leaving her behind. I have to agree with you that it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. But, as they tell us here, it will be worth the trip.
  12. I have printed photos of my SO and me on 81/2 by 11 photo sheets. I have read that some put them in plastic bags. Is this a big thing or not?
  13. You got it done and that's great! Congratulations! I hope it goes that easy for us/
  14. She has to pass. Her interview is on my birthday. Good Luck! Love is in the air.
  15. I'm in California. I believe I file at Laguna Niguel. Thanks anyway.
  16. Hello Patrick: I would just like to add my 2 cents worth, which is worth about 2 cents. I'm new at this as well. I will just say, hang in there and never give up. An old friend once told me that tenacity and perseverance are two forces that cannot be defeated. I have always believed that. Also, the love between you and your SO will enable you to overcome. You WILL be a winner. Ron
  17. Where can a list of all the abbreviations be found? There are so many to deal with it gets confusing after a while. I see some I-129F's are sent to MSC, VSC, TSC, etc. Mine has to be sent to USCIS. I don't want to send it to the wrong place.
  18. Good comment. I agree. I feel it is not a one-way street. Exposure can be one of the greatest learning tools. Also, for Jie and I, talking on the phone has only accelerated our progress. Plus, hearing her laugh at my attempts is worth millions .A laugh is common in any language. It is very powerful. 191446[/snapback] How true. I worked out a whole sentence in Mandarin. I thought I had it nailed. I called my SO and tried it. She didn't understand a word I said. We laughed until it got silly. Oh well, back to the books.
  19. Thank you for your informative comments. Right now, I have to do what my budget can afford. I am not able to buy her a computer yet, so I have to do the next best thing. I know some here have much bigger budgets than I have. Don't get me wrong; I'm not screaming poverty, but these are the facts. My SO also has a problem with scheduling time to do these things since she works about 12 hours a day. I appreciate your input. I always read them with an open mind and put them to use if I can. Thanks Ron
  20. Thanks. I would like to do that, but she doesn't have a computer.
