  1. Biometrics and pic was done on 8/19. Still waiting to hear about interview. Very quick it seems Li
  2. Thanks for everyone's input. We mailed I-751 on July 28. Check was cleared on July 31. We got I-797C on Aug. 1. Today we received a letter from CA DMV to extend my driver license. We didn't think about the driver license's extension. We will keep you posted. Li
  3. Hello everyone, Li's green card is up for removal of conditions since it is within 90 days of the 2 year expiration. Today I mailed to the California Service Center a packet with photocopies of documents and some pics. I am wondering what timeline others who have gone through this part of the process through CFC have had. Is is possible to get the 10 year green card without having to go to a formal interview? On a lighter note, this weekend we went to the Dragon Boat races in Long Beach, CA and they had entertainment, it was pretty interesting. We also went to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Baily circus. I have not been in 35 years and she thought is was very entertaining and amazing. We both had a great time together. Take care, Larry
  4. Li had the computer set on Chinese characters. I typed "Thank you very much" and that is what came up. I can not read characters but I guess she communicates with family and friends in China with that program. Larry
  5. ̸¿Ú¶ùÓï Thank you very much
  6. I am a little confused on when to apply for the extended AOS. Li came here on April 28th 2006. We married on June 30th 2006 and she got her green card in August 2006. I remember that you can apply no more than 90 days before the date. Is that the Green Card issue date? I think I heard something about not going to an interview too. Any help would be very welcome. Larry
  7. The many CCTV Chinese television stations run by the government and the government run newspapers I am sure had a sound bite or quote. Why don't the Chinese people who the government states feelings were hurt let them hear all of the news. If anyone believes that the Chinese are not aware of the complaints of the U.S. it is because of the Communist run media tries blocking the internet. They only hear the sound bites on TV and the newspaper. If the government cared for the people and actually wanted to lift them out of poverty instead of strengthing the state, the Chinese would hear the whole story but they do not hear this at all. Some Chinese actually do go on the internet which I am sure their government hates and they hear both sides of the story. Jack should not have made a blanket statement making it sound like ALL Chinese, but he was pretty much right when it comes to the Communist Government and those in the party.
  8. When Li and my case was stuck at NVC for over ONE YEAR I think we both went crazy too. It was Maura Harty's assistants who got the whole thing unstuck in less than 5 working days. I hope they work for you. Larry
  9. Hello everyone, Li arrived at LAX safe and sound and is very happy. We are wondering which form(s) we should fill out first for this AOS journey. Larry
  10. Li passed her interview Wednesday.... HOORAY !! The interview was only two minutes and she was well prepared. It seems the VO liked her very much. Thank you EVERYONE who helped with advice and were pulling for us. The whole process took 2 years and 11 days...........but who's counting. Sincerely, Larry and Li
  11. Does my SO need for her divorce book to be notarized? She has a declaration of no remarry and it is notarized. Thank you for your help.
  12. Thank you all for the information. I have never heard of SAVE before. I thought getting her new name on all the documents would save time and trouble than changing it after receiving them the first time. Larry
  13. I have only been to visit one time and I am afraid that might look bad.
