1. Welcome aboard. Hope your journey goes smoothly. Larry T
2. I would agree that you should keep it stateside as mail has been lost in China. My wife did not receive her P3 packet GUZ sent the first time. Also a friend of mine and his SO ddidn't receive P4 the first time around.
3. Good Luck. I wish you the best. Her communication with the VO will be the biggest factor in her approval. Larry T
4. Just an FYI. I read the Public Security Bureau in China has full records of 98% or 1.25 billion residents. Be very careful with your decision. It is hard enough going through the process legally. Larry T

Thank You

why did you have to submitt a video, communication issue or lack of evidance?? I have not filled yet, waiting on her forms, and giving her time to learn english 201813 The initial interview lasted 1 minute and my wife was blueslipped without as much a question being asked. We had plenty of supporting documents, pictures, etc. The VO never even reviewed. My wife requested the interview be conducted in Chinese. I imagine that raised a red flag. So we had a 5 minute video shot to prove we could communitcate, scheduled a new date to provide the video, which by the way was 2 weeks later. Hope that answers your question. Larry T
6. Congratulations. I wish you and yours the very best in your new lives. Larry T
7. A word of caution. A K3 entitles her to mulitple entries, however, she is still required to apply for a reentry permit, which is also good for two years. Currently, the NE service center is about three months behind on these applications. You can apply while here in the US and pick the reentry permit up from the local consulate. Larry T
8. Larry, After her arrival, don't forget to share your experiences here for all of us to enjoy and learn from. Well, at least after you come up for air. 196906 What an experience. Her plane was 1 1/2 hours delayed out of Shanghai. So the additional wait caused an enormous amount of anxiety. I spent three hours walking from the arrival area to the mezzanine. Watching and waiting to see her plane come in (China Eastern). I was elated when I saw it pull in and dock. Then the butterflys began. Was she on the plane, would she be the last off, would she be held up by customs. No time to think about it now I had to get back to the arrival area. It seemed to take forever. More and more people arriving from Teipei and no wife and then from around the corner she appeared. I wanted to cry with joy in fact I think I did. She informed me that the customs check went very smooth. Apparently GUZ issues a packet upon approval of the visa that is sealed and which your SO gives to customs upon arrival to the US. Customs then issues a I-94 card which is stapled to the inside of the passport. The I-94 form, acutually a card, is important because it is required for the issuance of a social security card in the US. So for all of the other couples out there make sure your SO's are aware of this form. Good luck to all that are waiting and congrats to those that are in the joyest position I am in. LT 197243 Wow Larry, after reading this I was feeling that anxiety with ya. But, I am glad she made it here in the good old US of A and the two of you start your new life together!! Congrats to both 197299 Thanks chef4u and all others. I plan to continue to be part of this wonderful site. I think we can all help each other. My wife and I are very happy and wish all the best. If we can help in any way please feel free to shout it out.
9. Congats to you and yours. Believe when I say I understand the journey. My wife just arrived on the 8th in LA. Best wishes
10. Congrats on your success. May you and your family have the happiest of times throughout your life.

12. Diddo, my wife arrived in the US on March 8th. I intend to be as supportive as possible to the many couples going through this long and rough journey. I was present at my wife's initial interview which did not go as planned however we were able to easily overcome the denial. If I can be of any assistance to others, post away and I am sure if I can't help someone else will give the necesary information LT

Thank You

GUZ Consulate: I want to thank you for your approval of my wife's visa. At the interview the VO requested a video to prove a bona a fide relationship. We provided the requested information and was approved. My wife arrived in the US on March 8th and we can now begin our life together as husband and wife. Thank you again. I am a very happy man LT
