What is the difference between them? I am filing for the K-1

My exwife thought she was saving money when she came home with 60 TV dinners. She explained how much money she saved, if you get 2 the 3rd one is free. But she forgot that the mortgage was due and got hit with a late fee. How's that for rational thinking.

I told her the other day on the phone that I bought a really nice dinning room set with chairs at a garage sale for the new apartment we will get when she gets here. It's a $500 set and only paid $50 but she gave me the third degree. I think it is more for the fact that she wanted to pick something out together and not the fact that I spent money. I think I'm afraid to tell her that I want to pay over $1,000 for a set of nice rims for the truck when the stock ones still work, eh? Wonder what they say about people that have a riding mower, "what matter with you, you legs broken"? ha ha ha

You should see what my SO made, not just for us to keep for memories, but to show in the interview. She created a scrapbook with our pics with little stories. It really shows the love and devotion that she put into it.

I see a lot of people are giving you different options to to solve your problem but not really give you an answer for your question. See if she can get a print out of her records to show when you call. If they question anything, then they can cross reference showing the times that you called also match up the times she received, regardless the number. In addition to what everyone else is giving you what they use, I have been using skype for the last 1 1/2 years. It gives me the option to save the list in a spreadsheet form that I print out every month and put in my kitchen sink. Hope this helps.

I tried telling her this, but she rather take the word from other women on 001 that it is not good or up todate. I am not going to argue with a woman, much less a chinese woman, ha ha ha I will call DOS again tomorrow and see if they sent it EMS and if they did maybe get a number she can try to track it down. If not, I think I will just fax a letter to them with the address in both pinyin and chinese characters and have them send a new one. Just hope I get the right number to fax it to, I have come across 3 different numbers from the site alone.

I called DOS and they said that the P3 was already sent but it was sent to her old address. Do they send out all the P3's through EMS? She can't sleep now thinking her P3 is lost somewhere. I am thinking I should just write a letter and fax it to the consulate.

I don't think Yan will have any problems making new friends regardless if they are Americans, Chinese or Koreans. She loves to talk and talk to anyone. Heck, when I'm in China, every time we got into a taxi it was like "gentlemen, start your engines" and all I hear is "blah blah blah blah" he says 2 words and more "blah blah blah" from her. She talks so fast even if I could understand Chinese I think I would still be lost. She says she worries about her english, but I think she will be just fine.

This brings up an interesting tidbit about a posting that I read in another newsgroup (name withheld) that a woman will divorce her current husband or have a boyfriend in China. Find a sucker (ahem, I mean a love) in the USA or anywhere else outside of China for that fact and then wait for almost one year to file the VISA and move out. Then wait a little longer and then try to bring the ex-husband or boyfriend out of China. I know that women can use sex for anything they want, but I would think men all over the world over don't have a very good stomach knowing that his "true love" is sleeping with someone else. But I am sure it has happened otherwise they would not question this. Just like they put warning labels on a tube of Preparation H 'cuz you know some dumb fool tried to take it orally.

I want to be as far away from that as possible, that was about the only thing the ex-wife cooked, that and boiled hot dogs. Needless to say I was the one that did all the cooking for her and 2 teen aged girls. Yan's a great cook, but told her we'll take turns.

She has mentioned more then once that many of the women she talks to from 001 have quit their jobs and that the man will send them money. I think she's just hinting but knows that I need to save for the trips, hotels, fees and yadda yadda yadda, she knows I'm not rich.

I planned on taking my SO to meet my teacher from college. She is from Taiwan and I'm sure she'll know all the hot spots where they hang out.

This is an argument that my SO and I got into one day. She sends all her money home to her parents (even to her aunts). I told her she needs to save, even if it's just 5 RMB a month. She wonders why and I told her to look at the people living in the streets begging. Maybe they never got married or didn't have a child, who takes care of them now.

I have had a few people tell me that I use a Taiwanese accent, mmmm maybe 'cuz my teacher in college was from Taiwan. Hey Tonado, I watch all my movies from a website called PiPi.cn. Everything has Chinese subtitles. They have a lot of Chinese movies as well as American, British, Korean and some French. Once day I started watching one and it was all in German but I was able to follow along with most of the storyline by reading the Chinese.

My Yan as even refused them once. I think the main reason is that the person had to take the bus all the way on the other side of town. I still don't know why the webpage I used needs to pick a flower shop on the wrong part of the city. She said next time I want to send flowers I can send her money. Not the same meaning here, but guess it's a cultural thing again.

I started about 2 months before I went to China the first time. 1 1/2 years later I am still teaching myself, but from many different sources from the internet and chatting with a lot of new friends in China on QQ. I can type and read chinese a lot better then I can speak. My Yan tries to teach me a little but said that her mandarin is really bad since she is from Hunan and her home language is Xiang. She even said that a lot of people laugh at her when she says some words in mandarin. It doesn't matter if I am learning for her, or if I want to move to china, what really as captivated me is that if you really study the written characters, you will find a lot of history that goes into each one, almost like a character tells a story about itself. Also if you love puzzles, you'll love to study the characters. After knowing the radicals you can understand much more about what a character is.

One thing that I have done is make a lot of friends, here and in China. I had one woman ask me a question about her relationship. She asked if her 18 year old son could be included in a K-1 or K-3 VISA. Maybe she hasn't told him yet or is afraid to and maybe have to leave him behind.

I think I already spoil her. I send her a greeting card about 1 or 2 times a month. I place a bunch of stickers inside and even write in chinese all over it. Use to send her flowers about every 2 or 3 months (even before we meet), but she said it's too much money and rather see me save (or better yet, she said give the money to her, ha ha ha). You have given me some other good ideas. I keep looking in my mail box hoping that the letter will come soon, I know it will lift her spirits up a lot (and mine too).

I've been looking at some prices online to fly out there for 2 weeks in July. I'll have to explain that I won't have much money to do anything since it is high time for tourists and the price of the ticket is almost twice what I've paid for the last three times.

It's all just a long and complected story but I am working on it very hard to stay in touch and maintain. It is really hard to know what another person feels or thinks without being able to be there with them. She wants me to move there till the VISA clears, but if I do that, I would have to quit my job and sell my truck. When we get to the states, I would have to start from scratch again.
