  2. Really? I had the meatball sub while I was there and the meatballs were the size of marbles with the sause almost non-existant, but I guess anything was better than another day of oily fried rice.....LOL, just kidding, I enjoyed many dishes there. CONGRATS areynolds!!!!!!!!!!! You finally have the love of your life with you to stay. I didn't know they had Subway there in China. I was in Shenzhen and the only thing I saw that we have are Walmart, KFC and Papa Johns Pizza.
  3. I would love to cook something for her on the first night, but I think she wants to stop at Taco Bell or Subway, ha ha ha.
  4. Here is an interesting link that my SO gave me that might help your SO. http://usa.bbs.net/interview/interview_ML/Interview_ML.htm
  5. I am not really nervous, one reason is that this will be my 4th trip there. The other is that even though it has been 6 months since we were last together, it doesn't seam like it since we talk on the phone or chat everyday and about every other day use the webcam. I think I will go through my kitchen sink about 100 more times the week before I leave, ha ha ha
  6. This is a bad link, is there another one to print out and have in the kitchen sink or is this something they will give to her and she signs there?
  7. Happy Qi Xi to you and your SO! We are the day after. Good luck

    ACS and ACH

If I go to the ACS, could they do a quick scan through my papers and make sure that we have everything we need and all the papers that need to be notarized are so. Her interview isn't intill thur and I will be there on sunday so if I could go on monday it leaves us plenty of time to still get other papers filled out if needed.
  9. Can anyone tell me what the diff is between the DS-156, DS-156K and the DS-157? I read that the DS-157 is used for male nonimmigrant visa applicants. The other thing that has me puzzled is the definition of nonimmigrant. If you come into this country, are you not immigrating?
  10. Does that mean I can not buy a one way ticket for myself even if I wanted to?
  11. I think i will have her get both of our tickets then. This way I will be sure that we will have the same flights.
  12. I wonder what is the determining factor on their dating system when mine is towards the end of the month.
  13. I use skype, it's just 9.95 a month and I can call her anytime and as many times as I want as long as it is under 10,000 mins a month. I have also thought about waiting till she is here and then we can both pick out a place together, but I would like to have a new place all ready for her so she can just relax and not need to worry about moving. {edit} Repair Quote tags.
  14. Congrats. I know what you're going through, I felt like a little kid saying "oh my gawd . . .oh my gawd" shaking enough that I couldn't hold the phone in my hand to call her and let her know. I am wondering if I will be able to maintain my cool at the consulate.
  15. Cedarreefer... When you getting married????? Inquiring minds need to know!!! I would like it to be Nov 8, it's her birthday.
  16. I know many have asked this and I know it is not a good idea to get her ticket till after she gets the VISA. But who's to say you can book her on the same flight to the USA on the same airline? I am thinking of getting a round trip ticket for myself and a one way ticket for her with the option to move the return dates on both.
  17. I called DOS today and the said the just sent the P4 out this morning for an interview date on Aug 27th.
  18. Shadowman, Give DOS a buzz. They say that my hard copy is in their system. You must also be. Also, I remember reading somewhere (here or VJ) that GUZ scedules only twice a month, at the begining and at the end. So far I have seen only a few August interview dates, all for K1. Mike Called DOS today. The interview date for our case is set on 8/31/2009. Mei I also called DOS this morning and we have an interview at 8-27-09
  19. I am also waiting. But I just called them this morning and they finally entered the returned P3 into the computer show it shows that they received it. Now we just wait for the P4, but atleast it is not like waiting for NOA2, eh?
  20. She sent in the P3 and EMS shows they've already received it but just didn't enter it into the computer yet.
  21. Along with EOR letter, you should include a renewed letter of intent addressed to the consulate. EX: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Fiance...r_of_Intent.doc I made 2 of these. one with my name and my intent and one with her name and her intent. we will both sign these and date, but will they both need to be notarized?
  22. I didn't opt for the electronic processing but guess they did it anyway 'cuz shortly after I got the NOA2 and called DOS they said the P3 was sent.
  23. We don't have a date yet. Just thinking of having the hanging type folders with all related papers inside, then she can slip the whole folder under the window. But then again, if they ask for one type of paper, why hand them the whole thing. I don't know, I guess I need to look at my list and see just how many pockets I think I can get away with. How big are the envelopes with her exams and x-rays. Will they fit inside the normal accordion type box?
  24. I plan on going to China about 2 days before her interview date. My question is, what did you use to file all the papers in and what worked best for her to find the papers in the interview and what was easy to carry on the plane. Right now I have a hard shell box with a handle and separate hanging folders but have seen some people talk about the accordion type. I am an over achiever and think I will have about 75% more papers then what will even be needed or asked.
  25. I just had my company write one up the other day on our letter head. It starts out "to whom in my concern", mentions when I started, I'm full time, how much I make a year and what my position is at the company. Signed and dated by the owner/boss and then notarized by the accountant.
