  1. Yes no matter the disagreements over hair, barn yard prefences, fishing methods and the national language debate we do expect enforcement of the code of silence should anyone then or later speak with SOs. It is a matter of CFL honor. As for Saturday, I just looked at Jake's Crawfish place on the internet. That is the one right not Jake's Grill? If so no if ands or buts about it I'll be there Saturday night. Who else is coming? Considered one of the top ten seafood restaurants in the nation, Jake’s Famous Crawfish has been a downtown Portland landmark for more than 110 years. Jake's features more than 30 varieties of fresh fish and seafood flown in daily, making a true Pacific Northwest statement using fresh Northwest products and served in a traditional and timeless presentation. Enjoy salmon roasted on a cedar plank; Oregon Dungeness crab; Chinook salmon stuffed with crab, shrimp and brie; great pasta's, poultry dishes and excellent selection of prime steaks. The bar at Jake’s has been a popular gathering spot with visitors and locals alike. Enjoy hand-shaken cocktails made with fresh-squeezed juices or a selection from the premium beer and wine list while visiting with friends, family or business associates. 2. Those were my understandings too Trigg. I might even be persuaded to buy a beer for a well known shepherd.
  3. Oh by the way, don't anyone let out how much this thing is costing. I don't want to start out in trouble. I'm still trying to get her to stay at a nice place where she can relax in GZ. "But that costs much." I hope she understands costs are more here for less.
  4. After getting my mouth watering for that 1800's seafood place as a BBQ appetizer you mean it isn't definite?
  5. So Fang is already trilingual?
  6. Here depending on the restaurant they speak Spanish, Chinese or Thai in the back (or any other language in the world ). She will also have to improve English to work a fast food. The key is practice, practice, practice. I use to teach ESL and the biggest problem Asians had was pronouncing the sounds so others understood what they said. She should watch your mouth as you speak and using a mirror try to mimic. DVDs are great because you can keep watching a scene over and over and watch their mouths move until you can do it also. A hand held recorder to listen to what she said, the mirror and the DVD player are the best way to improve fast. You can also read a page from a book into a recorder so she can follow the print and practice with the tape repeatedly.
  7. Just sent some by http://www.cnflowernet.com I use them often so now I just describe what I want and the dollar amount. They make the local arrangments with the florist and she gets them the next day.
  8. Well Trigg you know we do have a town here called Tarzana where Edgar R. Burroughs lived. Or maybe you are starting to get that stuffed nasal surfer's sound from too many slaps at the sinus.
  9. John answered it first. Don't know how he was able to tear himself away from the great debates.
  10. Ah that is a good spot. Very useful. This is why I prefer acupressure. The therapist checks out the full body condition through palpation before working the points. I think it gives more data input than with a poor acupuncturist. Of course both vary greatly depending on training and experience. Just like any doctor.
  11. I have never had acupunture done. I just don't like the idea of being pricked with needles. I did have some on my skull once for a class. I prefer acupressure since it does about the same but without needles. Cupping is pretty good too. Since it is a seasonal allergy acupuncture might work as only a temporary measure would be needed. Acupuncture effects are generally not long lasting. THey are best for quick relief and when the treatment affects a change in condition so it is long lasting. For sinus allergies my aromatherapy blend of plant oils has helped many. Often a mixed discipline approach is best.
  12. The best way I know to convert currency is to buy something in China that you have a way to sell here. Items that do well are silks, sandalwood, jade, traditional items, musical instruments and many more. If you know the items and the prices you should be able to gain 70 to 100%. That is much better even after import duties than paying exchange rates.
  13. See how easy it is for us to let the process get the better of us.
  14. The fact that they have print outs of emails and that the emails are recorded in the computer file (verified by DOS) I will agree with the man in the spotted loin cloth.
  15. It is a digit code for the characters used by the Chinese post office. Your fiance can get the code for her name at the post office.
  16. I am not and have never been in the goat business. I in no way profit from my promoting the noble goat.
  17. Don't worry, GUZ may be a little behind the times but they know people don't write by hand much anymore. Although the post office would appreciate the business. You won't even have to send in the quil with your fingerprints. Relax it will be fine. We will show our phone records.
  18. Even worse "southern" could become synonymous with Southern California!
  19. What's this "we" stuff? And you going to at least say where.. I don't recall where ping lives... I've turned off timelines and refuse to look any more.. and you get another GVD post... I know your ways ! I adapt to the we/our faster than Jim After all these months sweating it out with GUZ and hanging out here I earned saying we the hard way. No reply necessary wouldn't want your post count going above quota
  20. Well there was that scare in Boston last year about suspected Chinese terrorists. Remember their Coyote from Mexico reported that they were carrying bomb materials and headed for Boston when he apparently wasn't paid properly upon crossing the border They should have taken the Canada route, less problems.
