1. My advice is copy what you send and send by US Express Mail overnight and print out the tracking form and the reciept signature.
2. My advice is always have patience. Check any form you submit at least once after you complete it. Follow checklists to make sure you enclose any required photos and fees. Verify any information you receive and all should be great.
3. http://www.atafl.org/ This is a non profit organization of translators in Florida
4. I would call the tasanet.com They have certified translators. You get what you pay for. If you use a friend of a friend and something is wrong, you had your day for the interview and you may be out of luck. If they do not have anyone call your local courthouse and see if there is a translation service.
5. I think things will get resolved; however, did you ever obtain the assistance of an immigration attorney. I think you need one just in case. If you have the funds to get an attorney, now is the time.
6. Congrats to you! I would not call for small talk as everyone is trying to get through.
7. Best wishes and congrats on all your good news!
8. Which consulate did he apply for the tourist visa?
9. In a week or two? I will tell my fiance 1 or 2 more weeks. She will have hope for now anyway. 233432 If you do not get it then ask your Congressman to begin a Congressional inquiry. They have more access to information.
10. Go to tasanet.com. They provide expert services to law firms and have interpreters. I have no idea of the costs.
11. I may be biased as a lawyer but remember that a man who represents himself has a fool for a client and a fool for a lawyer.
12. I don't want to make any assumptions here. Were the "divorce papers" you mention presented in China? Did you indicate that relationship was a marriage? Specifically how do you see this biting you? Anyway if you ARE married to two people, the resolution on the last case like this was to complete the US divorce, take new papers to China and get the effective date of the marriage in China adjusted. China considers the current marriage valid. Again, be specific about just how you see this biting you. 233396 Ok I am losing it. I am sorry. I went to us Consoluate and stated I was single. Common law there is no official statement saying "I am married" It's only after you get your final Decree that it's a marriage (this is from what I have gathered so far). I was told on the phone two different things. The final Decree from my Common law marriage was after my real marriage. I do not have any paperwork saying it will be reject but the cas eoffice said I was not free to marry. Ergo the marriage was not valid. 233406 Please relax and provide a detailed chronology of what you did and what you were told. There are several possible scenarios but you haven't provided enough information. Specifically, when did you officially inform USCIS of the divorce decree in question? Why did you do so? What have you been told by USCIS and when? 233410 Married on the 30th of May final Decree is posted at the courts on 17 July. Forgot this common law thing. It was just to remove me from her paperwork. I signed them and forgot. no court or anything. NCIS first told me the do not recognize Common law last week. True but if you file divorce papers than they do? 233411 Get a family practice lawyer!
13. I would try to show assets or try to get a co sponsor. The form requires you to swear it is true and correct. A false form would probably lead to a denial or civil/criminal penalties. Maybe seek the advice of an immigration attorney.
14. I would answer for example since 2004 however, I resided in the USA from 1960 -2002. Just fill it in completely. Make room if it will fit or put a supplemental page.
15. If it was me, I would have the child leave with your SO. He is coming here to live, the last year in a US High School might not be a bad thing. yes with language barriers, that does pose a problem; however, soon or later the child needs to learn. The high school may have such a program. I would look into it. Also you never know what can happen with Immigration policy in any country. Just my 2 cents.
16. I would be real careful. I am sure that if the interviewer knows what you are doing, the result will not be happy result. I do not know whether you can be charged with interfering with the government offical investigation. I think honesty is the best policy.
17. If a person has only a green card from the USA and they leave the US, I have read on this site that upon return since they have a green card they can use the citizen line. Yet they are not citizens and are perm resident aliens, so how can this be. Does anyone know for sure?
18. Take 2, 7.5 Hydrocordone (I can't spell) pills before bed, then 2 more before leaving for the dentist, if you need someone else to drive OK. You should be very friendly and talking to every patient, doctor, and nurse at the office by the time you arrive. Then they will use all the pain killer in the gums, of course. You might be able to tolerate the pain and get it done. I did this due to not being able to get through the first attempt. So I made sure. In the end I had to just tell the dentist to go for it no matter how much it hurt me, hang on and feel the pain. 229648 I had it done and not as bad as I thought; however, next week is a crown lengthening where they cut the gums and dig into the bone. It is costing thousands for my dental but I think I still am glad I am having it done in the USA.
19. I agree with the prior postings. As far as her trip to Afganistan, I think our government would be very careful in a post 911 world. I honestly think your civil rights have not been violated, the government is exercising its police powers to protect the country. I would not take a hostile stance against the government as your posting suggests. Instead I would fully comply with their requests as completely as possible and once the government receives the proof it needs then you should be clear to go.
20. I tried to go to candle to take my mind off my root canal tomorrow. Yuck! I guess not.
