  2. Why not have here use her last name as her new middle name and then she can also share your last name.
  3. Is anyone familiar with any University in China that offers an accredited program that can be completed online or partially online.
  4. I believe that computer printer copies and scans should be acceptable since originals of anything are not returned. I have always sent computer printouts or photocopies and they have been accepted.
  5. I would wonder if they would let you into the building to get it to the right department and if you could, would they sign acknowledging reciept of the documents.
  6. Just FYI, we called the NSC and they state that the notice was sent extending the greencard. We received nothing. They stated they cannot send it again. I guess the InfoPass is what is needed. It is ashame that with the new fees we could not obtain better service.
  7. There is no information including any bio or extension information.
  8. Still waiting as nothing came today.
  9. We just filed the joint I-751 petition with TSC on 2/12/08. The petition was for my wife and daughter. Three notices were rec'd today: 1. Biometrics Appt only for my wife. 2. Receipt Notice extending greencard only for my daughter that also has her listed in the upper right hand corner as the Petitioner. 3. Verification of Inclusion of a Dependent in Filing of Form I-751 only for my daughter. So it appears my wife's greencard has not been extended and my daughter does not have a biometric appointment. It has been two years since I went through this mess and now it is back. What do we do?
  10. I filed a joint petition Feb 12. The check had been cashed and on the back was what appeared to be a reciept number but it only has 12 digits. No NOA has been received. What is the customer service number I should call.
  11. I sent the I-751 which was received by TSC on 2/14/08. The check has not been cashed. When should the check be cashed and when should we receive the NOA.
  12. My wife does have full custody. Thus, maybe notification will not even be required.
  13. By the way, I am an attorney; however, I am not a family attorney. I handled the immigration matters before; however, I am totally new to family law but want to do it myself.
  14. I want to adopt my wife's child as my daughter. I will be filing a joint I751 shortly and wish to file for adoption. The problem is getting the consent of her natural parent. We have no idea where he is. I know I can file papers stating I made a diligent search. Has anyone gone through this. What newspapers do I place an ad. Chinese or American. I would have no idea locating a person in China.
  15. On the I-751 where do you list my daughter who came to US with my wife. My wife was K1 and daughter K2. I see on the application where it states to list children. Is this the K2 child or also includes my other daugther born in the US.
  16. By the way, this tea sells for around $480.00 for a kilo (2.2 lbs) in the US. I prefer Jasmine tea, the inexpensive common tea. My wife from Yunnan prefers the Puerer tea.
  17. I would file now. Who knows what will happen if you wait. For all you know for changing the appointment, you may have to wait an extended period with your SO in limbo. I would go to the appointment as scheduled. Many people have had appointments scheduled, tried to change them and found they were not changed, etc.
  18. Yes between being detained or deported they will choose Mexico so they can try again and again and again.
  19. You may want to add her as then you have a multicar discount. Also, you may want to check around. There is a new California based insurance company in FL that is around 40% less than others. I was able to save some premiums using them.
  20. Woops I meant raises it 700 dollars for 6 months
  21. Yes best wishes on the appeal. Hope it all works out soon.
  22. Wow Oregon is different than FL. FL raises it almost 7K for 6 months.
  23. I asked my nationwide agent this question a few weeks ago and he said there would be no change for my rates. I live in NY state and she has never driven a car. Not for your rates; however, when you add on your wife and she is driving and has only experience in China, the Insurance Company may list you as a super duper preferred driver; however, they will rate your wife from China stating she is not experienced driving in US. That is my experience in FL.
  24. My wife makes Western food as well as Chinese food. The reason many do not in the beginning make Western food, is that it tastes terrible in China (in most cases). When they get here to the USA, they find that Western food is not bad and even good.
