  1. Great news!!! Congratulations. Rich
  2. Congratulations£¡ Rich & Li
  3. Thank you very much for this information. Rich
  4. Hello all. I was wondering if anyone knew the name and address of the head of the GUZ IV Unit. I would like to send them a fax a month for a few months. Thanks Rich
  5. I've already emailed Bob Bennett and Orrin Hatch from Utah...and nothing has come of it. I'll send them and the others mentioned another email this weekend with a copy of Mr. Roth's letter. Rich
  6. My wife took in her documents for her 3rd overcome on the 7th of August. On the 9th she got another blue slip. This one states that Guz needs 1- pictures of her overseas trips, 2- a resume. It also states that our case needs additional processing. Guz will advise my wife when to return to the embassy. If she hasn't heard anything in 90 days...write or email them. I'm in shock and afraid that this is going to cause me to have a heart attack or a stroke. I'm so damn mad about this further set back for someone who is honest and wants to do things the lawful way. She has asked me why she is having problems for being honest....and she hears about women that lie and get a red slip the day of their interview. I know that my wife is a good, honest, and loving wife....who only wants to come here to be with me. We are now working on the things that Guz asked for...and will send it to them EMS when we have gotten the items together. Any advice from anyone?
  7. If the consulate gives you a overcome document that states "Please provide the consulate with a signed notarized statement with English translation......" What if the statement is written in english first. Will that be enough...or does the statement also need to be written in the chinese language too?
  8. Thanks everyone for the advice. My wife and I really appreciate it. We will do as everyone suggests....and buy plenty of mouthwash. We do feel like we are very lucky that so far...our case has stayed in Guz. Hopefully the next time my wife goes to Guz to give them the overcome papers....will be the last time. But I do have one question on her non-membership in the CCP. She has got to write a statement about that. And her last employer has stated that he would also write a statement. Who else could she get to write a statement? Her family? Her friends? Some of her friends are members of the CCP.
  9. Paula, I really feel for you and the way things are going. My wife and I are in the same boat. We just got our last blue slip on 7 July...and are now in the process of preparing more overcome papers. I really think that we will both prevail in the end...after we give Guz our pound of flesh
  10. I just talked with my wife...and she got another blue slip. She can't understand why the VO didn't ask for all this information together the last time. At her first interview....the VO asked her if she was....or ever had been a member of the CCP or any other organization. She said no...never. The same when asked if she had ever been a member of any terrorist organization. No...never!!! Now one of the blue slip items is a notarized statement from her current/ past employer's stating she has never been a member of the CCP. Why??? She has already stated under oath...that she has never been a member. And the other major concern....is her trip to Afganistan to visit her friend in 2004 before she met me. They want a notarized statement from her detailing her trip there. The places she stayed...the friend's name and address. China isn't at war with Afganistan....we the powerful and corrupt USA is. Right now...I am very upset and angry about this. I am about ready to chuck this !@#$%^&* country...and move to China. Or declare war on Guz. If this happened here in the US...it would be called violating my civil rights. But it is ok...in China...for Guz to act like little Gods. I think it is about time for them to be held accountable for their actions. Any advice on what course of action I should take?
  11. Stacato, My wife gave all the statements and the proof that I provided...on the 20th when she went in. The consulate gave her back all the statements and proof yesterday when she went in to get the results.
  12. My wife had took our papers for overcome evidence...into the consulate on June 20th. She just handed them to a clerk there and was told to come back the 22nd for the results. She went back yesterday...and they handed her another blue slip. This time they want our 2005 complete income taxes, all w-2's from recent years...and a updated I-864 with my wife and step-daughter together. On her first interview on May 23rd... the VO took all the W-2 forms, and the income taxes for 2001-2005. So why do they need them again? I can't answer that question when it was asked of me by my wife. And on May 23rd...that VO didn't even want the updated I-864 that I had prepared. I had one of them for my wife and another for my stepdaughter. My wife is very stressed about this...and so am I. Doesn't the left hand of Guz know what the right hand is doing? Other that violating my wife's and I civil rights.
  13. My question is this. Does any statements needed for overcome evidence need to be handwritten...or can they be generated in a Word processing program and signed, or typed and signed? Some of us might have handwriting that is very hard to read.
  14. Hank, I had to provide such a statement as part of our overcome evidence. I basically followed the same lines as the sample statement on the other post. My SO has her overcome interview on June 20th...so then we will see if it was exactly what Guz was looking for. Rich
  15. Another thing about the statements I will be sending my wife for overcome evidence. The consulate is asking for statements. Should these statements be notarized? Or will that be overkill?
