  1. My hus is on K-3 now. We will be filing our I-485 shortly, though we have not been married over 2 years, but I assume by the time USCIS process our application and grant us the green card, we will met our 2 years. To me, I think they will not transfer my file to CSC and an interview will be a must, since if they don't, then the only other time they will see my husband in person is when he files for citizenship, and if he choose to become an USC.
  2. My hus came into US last year. At our POE, he was never asked for fingerprint. I think he photos were taken (not sure), his GUZ Packet was taken away, passport stamped w/ I-94. Is this super weird? I notice that officer was not sure of K-3 Visa. He was still on training that day, because I can hear another officer coaching him and at the same time coach another lady officer nearby too. When that Coach Officer walked away for a few moment, our officer said okay, everything looks good, just go claim your baggage. I think he forgot to ask for fingerprint. Do you guys thinks it will become a problem when my hus files for green card? I think if he gets questioned about that, we will just say not that we didn't want to give prints, but were never asked to. Does it sound okay?
  3. You can track your if your visa is ready. After the interview when the Chinese citizen got PINK and fill out the mail slips, you can write down the tracking # from that slip. There should be an update on PO's website the a day later (usually later in the evening). My hus and I checked closed back then.
  4. I would like to know why I-485 never get sent to VSC? My husband is now in NY, so most likly ours will get send to CSC too? But I am thinking my hus will need an interview. Also, if I-485 does get send to VSC, will would it be at? Thanks!
  5. Will you be going to the Guangzhou area already? How about attending ACH or ACS? Or you can try sending them an e-mail. I have succesfully gotten reply back from them before in about 3 days regarding my husband's interview at that time.
  6. When I filed I-130 for my husband in Nov 2007, we had his family and teacher, boss and friends in China wrote letters abour our relationship too. The letters were all offically translated in Chinese and English and their Chinese ID attached to them too. I sent them off for I-130 and for I-129F (K-3) as well then told VO at his interview that the letters are available if VO decided he wants to see it. I don't think the letters are neccessary, but to me, always better to have more supporting documents ready then short of them. Good luck with your petition journey.
  7. Thanks, Tom & Ling. I will send off my 485 package next week. I will just send my copy of tax 1040 + W2s for the past 3 years.
  8. Also for Form I-864 Part 5 #21, I am filling out for my husband, so I should enter 1 on line a and 1 for line b, total just 2, since we have no kids, right? I should not put anything on line c, since it says NOT sponsored in this affidavit. Do I still need to provide I-864A? I am a little confuse. I have just filed my tax return for 2008, so now I just request IRS to send me an offical tax transcripts, but I think since they are kind of busy, it will take some time, do you guys thinks if I just make a copy of my 1040 w/ all W2s, that will satisfy INS already? Thanks!
  9. 1)From looking at the US Visa, I see that there is a control # and then there is a number printed in red (8digits) on the bottom, which one is it that Form 485 is asking for?
  10. Wow, great news. Congrats. i hope mine will be as fast as yours.
  11. I would only send copies, You won't get your red book back if you send it in. Ooops.... I meant I will send a color copy of my Red Book. sorry...
  12. Congrats... Keep the good news coming! =)
  13. I think the "White Book" is their notarized and translated copy they got in China. I believe if you want to have some offical documents translated and notarized in China, they will copy your acutal copy and translated it then staple to to together with a white cover, making it look like a white book. I think I will send my Red Book, the original marriage book, because I have used up all the white ones already.
  14. First time heard about it, but sounds like it will shorten the process time. Doesn't usually takes about 2 months for CR-1 applicants to send in payments and forms before NVC sends out their package to China? IF so, CR-1/IR-1 route might be catching up with the K route, since the differences now is only by a few months. Great news!
  15. ACH is only held on Monday while ACS is held everyday. ACH - dicuss your case ACS - notarize, US passport issues, problems encounterd in China...
  16. To my many readings here, I understand that sometimes USCIS will send back the AOS packet asking K Visa applicant to do the full exam, even if stated in the instruction stated not so, right? Anyways, my hus will have the forms fill out my the doctor tmr, and from my phone coversation w/ different dr offices, most of them don't know about not completing the whole thing...so, is this same to many here too? They seem confused by me but I feel that I'm confused by them. My hus is on a K3 here now, so he should only get I-693 Part 1, 2 & 5 filled out, right? The doctor needs to seal the envelope or it is not considered offical? I found this doctor in WA who says will cost $50 total for looking at the Chinese shot records and puting onto the forms. So, USCIS should still have the med exam package my hus did in last summer? It should be inside that brown packet we gave to the office at his POE? Thanks...
  17. Oppps... I got confused w/ the form #, but my hus will acutally be filing I-485 for green card. Though, I believe the supporting documents for relationship is pretty similar.
  18. To: Nuworld My supporting docs are almost same as yours, except your mortage statements are my monthly apartment rental receipts. I think I will include a credit card statement showing both of our names and my medical records showing I'm pregnant and my hus is the father of the baby.
  19. I'm getting ready to file I-751 for my hus too. For letters from friends and family, I will submit 3 in total from different people: 1) Church Pastor: I asked him to state that I have been a member of that church 10+ yrs and now my hus had joined me and will get confirmed next month. Also, states that we attand the service every Sunday and joined fellowships/gatherings together. 2) Parents: states how much they welcome my hus into the family and how they get along with him every well. Also, they will write a few sentences about how they are overly joy that I'm expecting my first child this fall and our plan to buy a house. 3) My boss: She will state in the letter I have been working for her 5+ years. She knows about my petition for my husband from 2 yrs ago, because everytime I traveled to China to meet him, I will bring back photos and stories to share. Also, they finally met each other at my company's chrsitmas party and my hus had joined a few deparmant potlucks with me. This is just my letters. I think they will all keep the letter short and to the point, maybe a page the most. My pastor and my parents had no problem attaching a copy of their driver lic with the letter showing who they really are.
  20. Great news!! I waited total of 180 for my P2. Okay, way to go for you!
  21. 2 Pink is DOUBLE JOY! Enjoy new life together!!! Congrats!
  22. Wow, successful overcome!! =) Congrats!
  23. Didn't this require a visa for them to enter Canada? Sorry, my grandermother is from HK, so she holds this British issued passport for HK residents, so to enter Canada, no visa needed for HK ppl. Um... I see what the problem is now. I am from HK too, so this extra visa stuff for other countries was never an issue for my family, as we all still holding a US Passport and a British Passport.
  24. Not sure where you live now, but I live in Seattle, about 2 1/2 drive to Vancouver BC. Few years ago, my grandmother came to US and had the same situation like yours, plane ticket problem. SO, I took her to Vancouver for a day trip and got a new I-94 which solved our problem.
  25. Congrats... good news! Looks like VSC is taking about 1 year to process AOS. Anyone here knows about CSC?
