  1. I've had RFE exp with CSC, they updated the computer fairly quicky after receiving bk my documents, but after that, it was sat on some officer's desk (indicating processing/under review per another CSC Officer who picked up my call) for awhile...
  2. Wow, thank you very much for your detailed write up. I am about to file for GC for my husband. Our two years anniversary will be this coming October, so we are getting ready to compile all the documents together. So, it looks like if you had an interview for the 2 years GC, then when removing the condition to 10 years, somtimes no interview is required. Vice versa, if you didn't get interviewed for the 2 years, the 10 years one will certainly be interviewed for? CSC seems to adjudicate GC application in about 3-4 months manner while VSC is taking much longer?
  3. Brokenheart, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I remember you well, because we waited for P1+P2 together sometimes back in 2008. I'm very sad to hear that your HK interview didn't go well. I went to the HK Consulate few times in the past. The staff there seem to be pretty friendly, but not very helpful. Even when I ask something that is not related specifically to my petitions, just general procedure, they would not answer. Good to know at least your I-130 route is still open. I hope your next round will be smooth. I will log onto CFL from time to time to see your news. GOOD LUCK!!!
  4. My hus applied for EAD in early DEC 2008, today we finally saw update on USCIS that card ordered. No fingerprint needed now per VSC Officer that if EAD is filed alone. I called and called VSC for the last few days since next Monday would be 60 days since they got my RFE back. Per USCIS' website, they promise that 60 is the max I need to wait for an answer. I guess they like to it things the last minute. Well, I guess I should not complaint no more...I know there are many here waited longer for their whatever application. I haven't file tax yet. Hopefully my husband can get his EAD before and in time to get SSN to file tax.
  5. I was married in October 2007 but filed as single for that year and while my case was still pending with USCIS. I've went to GUZ-ACH in Feb 2008 questioning if my marital status on my tax return raise red flags due to seemingly I denied that I was already married, GUZ said that they don't care about that. My hus is now in US, but we are still waiting for EAD's approval, so hopefully he can get aprroved by end of this month, so we can get him SSN and file as married w/ his SSN#.
  6. Do you mind to share what documents did you help prepare for her parents? My expected due date is in mid-October, I want to invite my hus's parents to US to see their first grandchild. thanks!
  7. I agree with Dale, because if you didn't ask her to be your wife then you had no right to file I-129F for her. When my hus asked me to marry he had no ring either, ring didn't get purchased until many many many months later. I think you are okay, don't sweat it!
  8. Recently (like a month ago), I read an article in Seattle Times that Thailand is not requiring any visas from Chinese Citizen. I think the Thai gov said due to what happened to their citizen's protest awhile back, their tourism had gone down so bad, so they encourage everyone to visit Thailand again. Also, if I didn't remember incorrectly, Thailand is actually allowing all people to go for fun without visa, but i know they have a time limit for your stay.
  9. Thanks, I tried, but the option had been taken away. A USCIS resp said that she doesn't even know such option existed before?! Sigh...
  10. I recently filed EAD for my husband then shortly after got a RFE. I sent the info back, but case didn't say resume. I am so anxious now. I remember back when I applied K3 for my hus, there was an option to press on the phone to speak with a CSC/VSC if we have questions about our PFE, but it seems like that option is no longer there. Does anyone know?
  11. Happy New Year to everyone! I am so happy that I can finally celebrate New Year with my husband this year. My parents made lots of Chinese goodies for him. We made him taste every kind, since each symbolize different good fortune and wishes for the year. When looking back at two years ago, I thought we could never come to today.

  13. Nice to see you in here again. How are you? You mentioned that you will be moving to China before, how's it now?
  14. If you want to apply for your new Chinese L Visa before it expires, you need to simply include a note with your application explaining why. I have done it once for my family. I got a call from the Chinese Consulate in SF one afternoon from a gentlman asking why, so I explain my parents' situation, then that gentleman said next time all we need to do is to write couple sentences about it. I ended up faxing it to them.
  15. My hus is here on K-3. We just file our EAD application and hopfully we will get it approve by March then he can go to SSN Office for his SSN #. Believe me, K-3 cannot just get SSN without INS's EAD, because we tried... Last Friday, I got REF for my EAD, because we forgot to submit the 2photos. We just sent it right off to them on Sat. I hope we will hear speedy replies from USCIS.
  16. Are you talking about the next bldg over? That's the one kind of connected to 7-11?
