  1. Sure thing Trigg. I'd pay to see you in a dress. Gonna have your thong underneath?
  2. Yes I already promised her she would meet a few Nanning girls while there.
  3. Best price I got there was about 80 with AAA. Add tax and parking and it's 200 bucks for two nights.
  4. I'm not sure yet. We may drive through th redwwods on the way up, or maybe on the way back. We will probably arrive Saturday Midday, but Friday night is still possible.
  5. That's the one, Carl. It seemed to be the closest low budget that I was easily able to find. Jason, We'll have our car there. You are welcome to ride with us if you like.
  6. We looked at Days Inn last night but our trip is on a true shoestring budget. Instead we booked a room for Saturday and Sunday nights at a Motel 6 nearby. As for Saturday night, just tell us where and when. Where in OC are you, Jason?
  7. Hmm.... We are anxiously anticipating that Oregon hospitality. I have plenty of leftover Cheetos we could bring.
  8. After some deliberation with my wife we have decided to make the trip to Portland to strengthen the So Cal contingent. We're in for Saturday night at Jakes. Driving up. I'll need more specific information as the time draws near and our plans are finalized, but this really sounds like something not to be missed. See you all there.
  9. I'd love to. So would my lovely wife. I've wanted to go ever since you guys started planning it. Unfortunately, it conflicts with a planned trip to Arkansas the following week. I am right now wracking my brain trying to figure a doable solution to try to get to both places. We'll see.
  10. Congratulations on your progress so far. Good luck to Yunhe at the interview. We'll see you both at the CFL SLOB party in August.
  11. Time is supposed to fly when you're having fun..................... Now that she has a green card where does she want to go? Besides Portland? Yeah, I guess you would need a green card to get into Portland from TN.
  12. Congratulations to the Trigg Clan! When did Fang Ling enter the country? Seems you two have been together awhile.
  13. This is an interesting case. First of all, congratulations on the speedy resolution to a seemingly insurmountable task. The only thing I wonder about now, is how can she travel to the US within five days if she lost her passport?
  14. Based upon our experience, I would have to say absolutely not. In spite of all the inefficiencies in our government and this immigration process in particular, the POE personell are nothing if not courteous and professional. Which POE will she be coming through?
  15. Today we finished preparing the AOS package for sumission. Wrote the checks.. OUCH! Cover letter, I-485, I-864, I-765.... Id10T. I am now thoroughly confused. It's put together neatly, coherently, and creates the illusion that we are informed about these procedures. Ha. Little do they know. We made the decision to skip the I-131 with the plan that we will return to China shortly after recieving a green card. I look forward to relaxing a bit. Tomorrow I will make copies of everything and head over to the post office and request a delivery reciept. Wish us luck.
  16. We went back to the Doctor's office today armed with a blank Vaccination supplement form. When he saw us talking to the receptionist, I turned to him and showed him the form. No problem, he took the items from us and filled it out while we waited. Now we have it, and they even put it in an envelope and gave us a copy. I tend to think that maybe he originally thought I wanted the I-693 without him performing the Physical. Or, maybe he went home and studied the rules again. I don't know. All's well that ends well.
  17. This was the Dr. himself. He absolutely refused to do the forms without the full physical.
  18. We went for the vaccination supplement today. I am not sure that the paperwork we recieved is what we will need. There seems to be a problem with the civil surgeons in this city. There are just three, and the first two I called insisted that she would need the entire physical. The third one seemed to understand what we need, and said c'mon down. After two hours in the office, she finally recieved the shots and all he gave us was this. It's nothing more than a statement on a prescription pad, with nothing at all to indicate that the good doctor is a civil surgeon. Is there a problem here? I'm beginning to think that the CIS training person for this area is not providing a comprehensive service.
  19. We're right at 74 days now, and when I asked the legal secretary for my attorney this morning, he said the same thing SSA told me. At this point the time is best spent preparing the AOS package with I-765 and moving forward instead of dwelling on it. I wish the instructions were more clear. To save trouble, maybe the K1s should apply for it as soon as arriving in USA.
  20. This morning I took my wife to the Social Security Office to apply for a number. Everything was going fine (I thought) but then the woman got up to talk to someone else. She came back and told us that because we have married, that we must first file AOS before they will issue a number, because Jiening is "no longer K1" and that she is now a K3. I asked if she would have issued the number before the wedding and she said yes, no problem. She claimed that if she tried to put the application through this way, it "would not verify" and would be rejected. I was waiting for the marriage cert which we recieved on Friday. I think I waited too long. What can we do? Simply wait until she gets her green card, or should we try another office?
  21. When we came through Bradley last month I just went through the visitor's line with her and even right up to the desk. No problem at all. The officer looked at our passports together and processed me through first, then told me to wait on the other side. If that happens to you, Don't leave sight of her. There's plenty of time to get the bags. She may need you. The officer asked me to come back to the desk, then changed his mind and told me to keep waiting.
  22. We will be getting married in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and every family member west of the Mississippi (and east of the international date line) will be there. I am trying to find a place for us to enjoy a nice Hot Pot dinner after the wedding. Any ideas?
  23. I've never had any luck typing Chinese characters in Yahoo messenger. It works very well with MSN 6.2 though.
  24. Yeah, Not as much time here as before, but I'm always ready to jump on the bandwagon. With CFL, it's always a good cause.
