  1. Congratulations!! my wife's green card arrived on Monday too, less than a week after the interview!! this is the first time I surprised how fast the immigration office is working at our case after 2 years waiting on the AOS..
  2. cool. Congras!! our interview date is scheduled on Nov.1. We are working on the list of needed document now (very long list..).
  3. well, my wife lost her bag at beijing airport and i wish we didn't bring the cash. if there is no cash in the bag, i might get the bag back. anyway, i will just go the bank of China and pay 3% fee to get cash there instead by using visa checkcard.
  4. My wife lost her passport and K3 visa while visiting back in China. It's been a nightware trip, but she will be back on Wed. after 7 weeks. Here is some tips of what to do: 1. get the new passport at Beijing if you lost it there. my wife went to her hometown and it will take longer. 2. go to the DHS office at Beijing and they are the one take care of this kind of cases, but even some of embassy officers don't know about it. they will issue her transportion letter in order to get her back to the state and wait for the green card. 3. take good care of your visa and passport!! don't lose it!!
  5. good news. The DHS office at GZ will issue my wife a five day visa to let her get back to the States and wait for the green card. if everything goes smoothly, I won't need to reschedule the plane ticket for her.
  6. we talked with both the embassy and the immigration office in Beijing. Beijing turned her case down and told her to go to GZ (final decision). Somehow, she managed to reach the DHS office in GZ. so far, they are still investigate her case (been a week now). If the DHS won't handle her case, they only way is to get the package #3 and reapply for the K3 visa. btw, since her I-130 is approved already, how long does it to take to get her green card if apply it in GZ?
  7. Thank you so much for all you help. The link is very helpful. I talked to a immigration lawyer this morning and he won't even accept my case. Also, the link says "you must apply in person at the Embassy or Consulate abroad for a new visa." hopefully, it won't take another 10 month. to make the situation worse, I received a notice from Atlanta office today saying my wife's fingerprint is about to expire. The new fingerprint appointment scheduled on 06/11. I checked the Atlanta process data, the AOS date is 06/30/2003 now, just one and half month till the date we appied the AOS.
  8. hi, guys, My wife lost her passport and K3 visa at Beijing airport. She's going back to visit her parents. It's been 3 weeks now and she already got her new passport, but she can't come back without the visa!! We contacted the GuangZhou immigration office, but couldn't get a firm answer about how to process this case and what can we do. One option they suggest is redo the K3 visa, my god, it will take another 10 month!! We already filed the I-130 (approved) and I-485 (still in process) at Atlanta office. I shouldn't listen to her and let her go back. To make it worse, her K3 visa will expire on 25th this month. I am open to suggestions. Please help!! Tony
  9. unfortunately, our AOS filed at Atlanta. It was received on Jan. 2004 and still waiting. my wife's K-3 will expired in June. if she still not received her GC, what happens next? and is it possible to renew the K-3 visa? and how to do it?
  10. My wife is the same way. She's waiting on the I-485 approvel now. Since Atlanta office is slowest in the nation, we are not sure how long it will take. I guess I'll have to file the K3 extension for her next year.
  11. Thanks, don. We've been thinking which way to go in the past week. If we wait for the AOS at Atlanta's office, do we need to mail them a copy of the I-130 approval letter? If we go back to GZ for the CR-1 visa, how long it's going to take?
  12. Unfortuately, we are at the Atlanta region. The problem is I already filed I-485 right after I filed I-130. Can I still consider going to GZ for the I-130 interview?
  13. My wife received the I-130 approveal notice today. It states next step is to file AOS. However, we file AOS right after file I-130. What should we do next? B)
