Oh No...Not this again !!!
Mengxin replied to rogerluli's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
You are both wrong!!! It's really the "eye of a newt". A lot of people get that part wrong though because it tastes like chicken and smells like goat entrails. I've been watching Emril live, that show was on last week. Sanity is perspective. Where have I heard that before? hmmmm... You spelled all those words without a single error in your spelling Trigg. Impressive. -
Nope , No watermarks either. hmmm Looks like a 230, smells like a 230 still tastes like chicken, but it must be a 230. I agree about the quality of the form. What's up with that? Even the P3 suppliment looks like they have been copying over the same form year after year. If this is the pride and quality behind there paperwork, what's going on behind the scense but, we already know that answer too. Not much. You know I looked at the P3 and the paperwork with it. It never says (*anywhere that I saw.) who is responsible for completing the P3 suppliment. Sponsor or applicant? I saw from there own website, that thechnically it's not even called a P3 anymore to avoid confusion. So I can see where reciveing the P3 suppliment, would help. 2 DS-230's = helpful? yea helpful on a bingo night. What drives me nuts is the reapeated "don't screw up or else." Then when looking closely at the service they are providing, it's so poor that they have almost made it impossible, not to screw up. If this wasn't a gov run business these guys would have been out of business years ago. They really ought to check themselves, before they wreck themselves.

With or without the pullring pin? Shhhhhhhh! Carl, all these new guys don't know 'bout my fishin' techniques. don't tell 'em or everyone will be practicing catch and no release. Then the price of handgrenades will go up higher than gasoline after a republican innaugaration. Trigg, Every guy knows what a woman wants. A good ole fashon' power saw! Something really loud and that has a lot of HP. Or? Nothing says "I lov" you like a subscription to playboy. ... Yea for her of coarse. You give her a 1yr "gift subscription." Your set. If she didn't like it, you would read it? for her right? No money waisted and everyones happy. See, Win Win. Trust me on this one Trigg. She will be melting in your hand. Bet you would probably even be willing to stay in bed a little longer Sunday mornings to watch the Nascar races with her. Fishn' with hangrenades isn't a bad idea either. Remember safety 1st , "Throw the pin, drop the grenade." Low blow too with the re-pelicans, I'm sure they didn't ask to be pelicans - again. ha ha

I think you got something there Trigg. I'm going with the consperacy theroy all the way. The women are plotting again. Don't take the bait man! Just act like you didn't know.

Thanks fella's. I figured that. Suprised I hadn't heard it before. I got exactly the same as you guys did. They made it sound like I forgot something, then didn't tell me what it was. Just a DS-230? Maybe they haven't got it, because it hasn't been mailed yet. I take it that you both replied to CMR with Mr. CMR's barcode sheet, only 1 DS-230, P3 suppliment and photocopies of bio pages from yours and your Lao Po's passports. 1. Mr. CMR's barcode sheet only. 2. Only 1 DS-230. 3. P3 suppliment. 4. photocopies of bio pages from yours and your Lao Po's passports. (They only repeated the word "photocopies about 5 times.) uhh , does that mean they want me to mail them my actual passport?http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons6/35.gif xie xie ni Yea James, I thought about that. (too much) Why don't they just make us have to notarize it then. Just curious how many people out there actually benifit from "jumping the gun." uhhh , then there's my lawyer that did that with my 129F. RIP 129F

I just read from the State Department website that there is no longer a "P3" anymore due to all the confusion. To me... the I-864 and DS-230 make a "P3" packet. That is no longer the case since the I-864 and the DS-230 are independent of one anouther. Look here... http://foia.state.gov/masterdocs/09FAM/0942063PN.PDF "Bumpety Mumpety"...? Have you been taking lessons from Trigg?

huummm.... Cafe Moca Frappichino Venti. I read your timeline. I'm a Starbucks addict myself.

http://foia.state.gov/masterdocs/09FAM/0942063PN.PDF This is pretty interesting reading. Still can't find any info on the reason for the Packet 3 suppliment though. I still think that the DS-3032 is a useless step in the process. They should just add one more field for choice of agent to the I-130 and I-129F. It would save us some time and save them some paperwork.
-
http://foia.state.gov/FORMS/visa.asp It's here. In my I-864 paperwork, they emphasized not to use the downloaded DS-230 form from the website. However, neither the website or the paperwork that came with the actual DS-230 said anything about not using the form. I figured maybe they would send me a custom DS-230 form with my own barcode on it. Nope, It's exactly the same form as posted on the website. The only reason I can think of for not using the fillable form from the website is that the font is kind of small. Curious that CMR and DR aren't even listed here. http://foia.state.gov/MMS/KOH/key_country.asp?ID=China

I am getting ready to mail my DS-230's back to NH, and I aksed myself, "why am I mailing 2 DS-230's back to the same office?". I am mailing one back Attn:DR and another one back Attn:CMR. They both sent me the forms I needed, along with the barcode sheets. Mr. CMR sent me the forms with a return envelope and a current 230 form expireing in 07'. Mr. DR didn't mail me a return envelope, he even sent me an expired 230 form from 04'. He obviously didn't download it off the website. Both were also kind enough to remind me that any goof ups will cause delays in the process. Geez... When will I remember on my own? Goof-ups = more time ahhh, OK I got it now. I don't need to be reminded anymore. Thanks. Anyone else seen this before? Or mailed in 2 DS-230 forms? I only paid for 1, and I got 2. Why am I not feeling like I got a lucky deal here?
-
Send the check for $45 dollars, payable to mengxin and mail it to me. I'll make sure they get it. We have a saying here in CA. "If the cops didn't see it, we didn't do it." I might be worried if they sent you a bill for $380 and you paid $335. If they sent you a bill for $335 and that's what you paid. I would think it would be safe to assume you are probably OK. ...But then again, crazier things have been known to happen.l

Mengxin replied to Chinese Wife!!!'s topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
Alex, Welcome back. I can imagine your feeling. I just got my package letting me know the things that I needed to get together. I can tell you that "picture of ex-husbands photo, taken with a newspaper, with today's date, was NOT on the list." other noteables not making the list are... 1. Your better half. 2. Video Tape 3. Phone records 4. Notarized passport 5. Barry Bonds #700 HR ball If these are going to be requirements of evidence to present at the interview, it would be on the list right? My paperwork is on it's way soon. I'm not complaining, I'm just sayin'. Go GZ, I love you, you guys Rock!!! -
I happy for you! Now where's my rainbow?
Mengxin replied to jgrier5's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps

That's funny Frank. Immigration doesn't have this problem at all. Stupid people are all around us. They don't even know theyre stupid. It just stinks when one gets in your way and you need to go around them.

Breakfast with Maura
Mengxin replied to beijingjenny's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/visa/ Is this it Jenny? Good stuff to be aware of... This is awsome... You didn't really say this, did you? I think a perfect comeback would have been, "I can get a visa for a tsunami baby quicker, no thanks." Or look down at your tummy and say something like "brought my own baby's, thanks anyway." Ironically, since your having twins, if you were a Chinese national would you need to give the 2nd child up to the orphanage? And another thing about the visa delay. Maybe nobodys told her about the big economic "Boom" right now. There are plenty of English speaking Chinese. In fact China has the largest population in the world. Funny that she should use China's biggest strengths, ($$$ and People) as an excuse for the visa delay. "Resources???" come on. Looks like we aren't the only unhappy customers. The article in this link rips her up pretty good too. http://frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArtic...le.asp?ID=17212 -
Backdoor Deportation of American Citizens
Mengxin replied to hank's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
Ahhh... I get it now. So the only way for a prostitute or terrorist to come to America then, would be with a K visa. Why didn't I realize that before? Geez.... but, even the students aren't happy either. http://www.ucsdguardian.org/cgi-bin/news?a...t=2005_03_03_03 -
Backdoor Deportation of American Citizens
Mengxin replied to hank's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/visa/ The interview is here. SE, Sad, but true. Everything seems to come back to the beloved dollar $$$. Living in CA, paying 8% sales tax, and being in a 38% income tax bracket, I have only 54% of real $$$ for myself. That sucks -
I happy for you! Now where's my rainbow?
Mengxin replied to jgrier5's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
Check out this link from visajourney. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?pg=compare Many of us CR-1's have gone down all paths K1, K3 and CR-1. CR-1 takes about the same amout of time as K1, the only real advantages are... • can work upon entry (no restrictions) • This is an "immigrant" Visa and will as such allow the applicant to arrive in the US as a permanent resident. • They will not require an Advanced Parole document to leave the US for travel or require an EAD to work. For my I-129F : Lost in Chicago. Died before it got started. For my CR-1 : I am mailing my DS-230 out today. The I-864 was mailed out weeks ago. The dates I am seeing from P3 to Interview are 5 to 6 months. Technically, there is no P3 for CR1. The I-864 and DS-230 are sperate packages and indepentant of one another. For my I-130 : I have a priority date of early Aug. 04'. If you are a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident and plan to file a petition (I-130) for a qualifying relative, you are encouraged to file as soon as you are eligible in order to establish your relatives place in line even if the petition may not be decided for some time to come. Upon filing, USCIS will send you a receipt that will establish a place in line for a visa called a “priority date”. USCIS will adjudicate your Form I-130 prior to visa availability (or within six months if a visa is immediately available upon filing). -
I just found this tid bit of info. It doesn't answer your question, but does answer some of mine. Like what the >>>? http://www.internationalstaffsolutions.com...m/cons_proc.asp --When your I-140 (Petition for Immigrant Worker) is approved, you can either file Adjustment of Status (I-485) within the U.S., or undergo "Consular Processing", which involves processing for permanent residency through the State Department. Most individuals will be undergoing Consular Processing. In consular processing, the interview for an immigrant visa takes place at a U.S. Embassy, or Consulate located (with some exceptions) in the applicant's home country. An Immigrant Petition that has been approved by the INS is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC) in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. That office then makes an electronic copy of the petition and forwards it to the consular post in your home country. NVC will also create a case number and send "Instruction Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants" (formerly Packet 3) to the candidate. The Instruction Packet is received by ISS, the correct filing fee is paid, and ISS is designated as your agent. Most recognize the Embassy/Consulate processing referred to as Packet 3. However, as of December 2001, the immigrant visa packet system has been eliminated in favor of a new system. Packets 1, 2, 2a, and 3a no longer exist. "Packet 3" has been renamed "Instruction Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants." "Packet 4" is now "Appointment Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants." "Packet 4a", which is the mailing that initiates the termination process, is now "Follow-Up Instruction Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants." At this time it is also necessary for the applicant to complete the DS-230 form (and the appropriate Philippine supplement if applicable.) Once the DS-230 is filed with the NVC, the NVC will determine that a "quota number" is available and will then forward the application to the appropriate Embassy. Once the Embassy (or Consulate) has received the application they will notify the applicant of an appointment time. All immediate family members should attend the same appointment time and have all necessary documentation prepared. At the time of the appointment, the applicant must have all necessary documentation ready. This includes: Current passport for main applicant and immediate family members; Visa Screen certificate; and Medical Exam. In the interview, the Embassy official will review your information and documentation, and if all is in order, the visa will be issued within a week or so. Once a visa has been issued, an individual has a 6 month window in which to enter the U.S. Attending an interview at the United States Embassy or Consulate may seem intimidating--but keep in mind that the INS has already approved your petition and that it is only the Embassy's job to ensure that the necessary documentation is accurate and complete so that there is no question of your admissibility when entering the U.S.

Mark, You need to represent. let her know her role...remember? Geezz your like a puppy dog now. You haven't taught her the 2 golden rules of a happily sucessful marriage yet? Rule #1 The boss (That would be you) is always right. Rule #2 If the boss (you again) is wrong, refer to rule #1. Just that easy. Check yourself, before you wreck yourself... so you were a little bit wrong, 1st times for everythings.
