  1. Thanks Dan. She is wanting to be a full time teacher in the public schools so they are going to require a degree. She works in the schools now and the principal wants her to do this. It's been tough to find an online degree in Chinese. There are quite a few universities that offer a Chinese degree.....but none online that I can find
  2. Hi all. My wife is wanting to get a teaching license to teach Chinese in the public schools. She has a BS degree from China, but not in Chinese. Anyone know of a University in the U.S. that offers an online degree program for an undergraduate degree in Chinese? thanks all Don
  3. Thanks everyone for the info. Sorry for the delayed response as we were out of town this weekend. Sounds like we just have to go there early and wait wait wait. Doesnt sound like an easy process. Thanks again
  4. Hi all. My stepson's Chinese passport expires this year. We were going to go to the consulate in San Fran next month but are having a hard time getting in touch with anyone at the consulate to tell us what we need to bring. We went online and my wife found some infomation. Anyone have experience with the San Fran consualte and renewing their Chinese passport? thanks all
  5. Hope that works out but I have to agree with the others.....3 months is probably the norm. Anything can happen and some do get lucky. But when I reviewed the history that most CCP cases have posted here, 3 months-ish has been the norm. Good luck!!!
  6. Agreed. We took our lumps and had our own stresses when going through the K1 process, With a lot of prayer and help from all you good folks here on CFL, we got through it successfully. Sure wasn't boring lol
  7. Yeah TSAP, you've definitely had quite a journey. We haven't applied for B2 yet, but almost dread it after you hear the denial stories. We're gonna give it a go in about 6 months though. I wish everyone the best of luck with whatever you have in the queue!
  8. Thanks for the information Dan. We are several years away from applying for citizenship so it sounds like a B2 visa is the route we will go. Thanks!
  9. My wife is wanting her parents to visit here. My wife just got her 2 yr green card a few months ago. Is there an amount of time we should wait before applying for her parents to visit? Is there a string on how we would go about doing that? Anyone have experience with this? My wife has considered looking into having her parents immigrate here but I've heard its easier to do that if she becomes an American citizen first. Any thoughts? thanks guys
  10. When we provided the resume and statement for my wife's K1, we did not get them notarized. Only signed. We actually scannned them and emailed them in
  11. Thanks Credzba. This is good info too. My wife went to college in China 20 years ago so I'm hoping she can still obtain hers easily.
  12. Hi all. My wife has a bachelor degree which she obtained in China. She is wanting to get a teaching certificate here in the US and was told she needs to have her degree evaluated by a company that does this. Our problem is that she does not have her transcripts from her university in China. Anyone have experience with this kind of thing? Not exactly sure where to start. thanks
  13. Hang in there. They (GUZ) are on their own timeline. My wife/step-son just completed all their AOS stuff and throughout the whole K1 process to now there have been lots of things that didnt make sense to me. You WILL get there so hang in there.
  14. Agreed. My own Dr. gave me a runaround and he is a civil surgeon. Avoid Civil Surgeon if you can. I did end up finding one that was very familiar with the process but took me a while and alot of back and forth with my doctor
  15. Hang in there. Just send them anything they ask for even though you have already provided it to them. When my wife got her blue slip for CCP, we were asked to send in several documents that we had provided to the V.O.at the time of the interview. The same thing happened with my step-son's AOS. His interview was delayed because we were sent an RFE for documents we had already sent in. Doesn't make sense but you are better off to just send what they asked for. Sounds like you're going in the right direction. You will get there! Good luck!
  16. Congratulations! Great news!
  17. Makes sense. We'll bring it all and if they dont ask for it, at least we have it there. Thanks!
  18. Thanks Dan. I was hoping for the "rubber stamp" too. So we should focus on bringing docs/evidence related to him? No need to bring in marriage cert and relationship type stuff again? Maybe photos of the family together?
  19. Hi all. My wife had her AOS interview about a month ago and because of some problems with paperwork, my step son's interview was delayed. His interview is later this month. Any ideas on how we should prepare for his interview? His AOS is based on hers, which she already has. Not sure how an interview for him will go down or what we would need to bring. We brought marriage doc, bills....etc for my wife's. Any input would be appreciated. thanks all
