I think any time you receive a blue slip you will be looking at 3 or 4 months processing wait. My wife (fiancee at the time) had her interview in GZ on 3/30. She received a blue slip for CCP and we heard nothing at all until 7/1. I emailed, called, emailed, called........and never got an update. I was able to get one person on the phone to tell me her CCP processing check had been completed. Took us 10 months from the time we applied to when we had her visa in hand. Hang in there.

AOS interview today - left with mixed feelings

Thanks Randy. When the nerves are high I can sometimes over think things which doesn't help. I checked their website this evening and our status for I485 has been changed to "approved". We are still planning to bring the extra evidence to my step son's interview when it is scheduled. -

AOS interview today - left with mixed feelings
Mr. Don replied to Mr. Don's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
Thinking back over it, we answered most of the questions correctly. There were a few we stumbled on but yeah....that question about her dad was a curve ball for sure. We weren't asked many questions at all about our currently relationship. Just things like "what city was she born in, and where was she working when I met her?" Stuff like that. Nothing was really asked of us about our marriage/relationship now. -
We had our AOS interview this morning for 2 yr conditionl and I left there with mixed feelings. The very first thing I was asked was "what is your father in laws name?" I drew a complete blank. The times I have been around him I call him "Ba Ba". Then she grilled my wife about CCP. The officer misunderstood her answer but after letting my wife explain I think that part was OK The officer asked my wife how she wants her name to appear on the card. The rest of the questions went pretty well. Then she asked for evidence of our marriage and we gave her about 20 photos, a bank statement showing both our names on the account, and my health insurance statement showing she is on my health insurance. Then the officer asked me who is the beneficiary of my life insurance policy through work and I told her my wife is. She asked me for proof and I didn't have it. Then she asked if my wife is on my rental lease and I told her we haven't added her yet because our lease is up next month and we were planning to add her then. I felt really good at times during the interview and really bad at times. I got a lot of mixed feelings during this interview. The officer told us my step-son's interview is coming soon and that we can bring more documentation to that. Do you think we are sunk? thanks all

This makes sense. The really ask for a lot and I've heard that they dont even look at it most of the time. This interview "seems" to be just a formality but I want to be prepared nonetheless. Thanks guys!

Thanks Randy. Didn't want to overthink this one but also didn't want to go there un-prepared. USCIS has already lost half of my step-son's info including his I-693. we are having to re-submit part of his info. So far....my wife's has gone well though.

We received my wife's interview letter from USCIS to schedule her interview. The letter has a LONG list of what we are to bring to the appointment. Anyone have experience with the AOS interview and the things we are REALLY supposed to bring? Alot of the things they are requesting us to bring, we have already provided to them when we applied for I-485. Also, they want me to go there and they want us to bring supporting evidence of our relationship such as joint assets...etc. The only thing we have like that is our joint bank account because we have only been married a few months. Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated thank you Don

AOS - how long from delivery to NOA?
Mr. Don replied to Mr. Don's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
Looks like what happened for my step-son's AOS is that my wife signed in the field "signature of person preparing the form if other than above" on all 3 forms. USCIS said in the letter to us to "please sign and send the application with the correct fees to the address listed on the bottom of this page". My question is this. Do we reprint the signature pages on the forms and sign in the correct page or is it ok to sign what they sent us back and resend? Also, they sent back the supporting docs for his AOS but kept his recent pasport photos. Do we need to get new ones made or are they keeping them in his "file"? thanks all -

That makes sense. Just hoping that the check for his AOS app clears soon. But.....since hers has cleared that means hers is at least in progress. Since his is tied to hers, I'm not worried -

Checked this morning and the check for my wife's AOS cleared our bank but the check for my stepson's AOS hasn't cleared yet. Is this because they are being processed as two separate AOS applications? We sent her AOS app and his AOS app in together in the same packet. thanks all -
Congratulations and good luck!!!

We did attach G-1145 so I've been looking for an email any time. I didn't think about the holiday so sounds like we are within the normal time frame. thanks Dan!! -
Hi all. USPS shows our AOS packet was delivered to Chicago on 11/5. Still waiting for checks to be cashed and NOA email, text, and letter. Does anyone know how long this is taking these days? thanks everyone!

Thanks Dan. I haven't seen divorce certificate asked for by the instructions on any of the forms, but is there any reason to send it in with AOS?
