  1. The Phoenix, has more than places that one thinks of, places like the MeKong in Mesa (Main and dDobson), Lee Lee's (Dobson and Warner) in Chandler to name a few. I have heard of plans by both the Super L Ranch Market and Lee Lee's Oriental Market and they both want to build 2 new stores, Super l Ranch Market wants one in Chandler and where the other will be is unknown right now. Chinese Pop. is around 20K
  2. Not Required in Arizona, we married six days after arrival.
  3. We all make choices on if we should or shouldn't use a lawyer, and I've had my share of them.
  4. Sent GUZ the email, you will get a response. As for the letter is long over-due, call the NVC and ask for another one, state that you haven't first the letter and it's been over a month.
  5. Once you have the NVC letter and the GUZ#, send an email to GUZ with the address change, they have to notify you that they have received your email. This email will go into your case file.
  6. For the AOS interview, print the I-485 and look at the questions page, this for the most part all the questions that will be asked at the interview. Other things documents that will be asked for that you and her have joint bank accounts etc.
  7. Robert, Be there for the interview, and stay as long as you can, i.e. for CNY if you can, this will be important for the both of you and her family. You may have to lead her in this direction, and I think she'll understand, it's a small compromise for an important life changing event. Make the suggestion and ask her if she agrees? That's my opinion.
  8. Material things such as joint bank accounts in both names, rental contracts (apartment) if any, insurance (health, auto and home), joint home ownership, (title in both names).
  9. Basically, every question that is on page 3 of the I-485 will be asked along with any other questions the VO might asks during the interview.
  10. Randy, I agree, his head is someplace else and not focused on the real problems with Immigration.
  11. Ah - how would he fix the K-2 issue? If a mother has to leave her 16 year old behind, that would only make the issue worse. I agree, but they knew from the beginning that they were crossing a greyline with Immigration, I do feel for them. Had they chosen to come here legally, this wouldn't an issue. Both Houses have some heavy thinking to do in regards on how to fix current Immgiration Laws and how were going to treat illegals now and in the future. IHMO, I think both Houses should focus on current Immigration Laws in regards to those of us who have brought our families here legally, but still have to fight for every inch we gain towards LPR status first. Then after that, introduce a new Bill for those who here illegally, I hope like hell they don't combine anything to what has already been put forth for debate on th floors of both Houses.
  12. Carl, Thanks for the clarification, of your letter. Ref; your House Rep, he has his own agenda and the other issues don't play any part in his thinking process, he would rather have or give illegals amnesty, while we the taxpayer foot the bill to bring our family here via legal means.
  13. Chris - The age "16" is not a typo. The "Dream Act" benefits illegals only! Question, what is happening with (S)? I see he was reprimanded previously. I understand he didn't file it, but did he ever fill in the I-290B? If I understand Randy correctly, the MTR is probably a waste of time and money, except to buy some time. We have an appointment next week with an immigration attorney. No response from any of the congressman I wrote. They are probably all busy with the big funeral. We can always hope they will pass the "Family" act quickly as a tribute. David I feel the Illegals should not be given amnesty, the parents and people who willfully entered the USA illegally, however after reading an article in Wired Mag a few years ago, I do feel that the children that were brought into the USA prior to age 16 should not be penalized for the actions of their parents. There should be a way for illegal children who grew up in this country to be able to become lawful productive members of society. An inspiring story about how a high-school robotics team consisting of some undocumented illegal immigrants beat a team from MIT. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.04/robot.html MORE: http://www.rotaryeclubsouthwest.org/progra...JuneProgram.pdf http://66.223.34.200/News/Immigration/la_vida_robot.htm http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/a...otkids0731.html http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.06/start.html?pg=6 http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=C...d+Oscar+Vazquez dnoblett, I understand what your saying. Were talking about a completely different matter (AFU) and their issues they'er presenting, what Carl's Sate Rep, replied to was what you were quoting. Weather or not his Rep understood his letter, kind of left us (Randy and me) quessing why he was speaking of the "Dream Act", when I'm sure Carl was speaking about something completely different. Only, Carl could tell a little about what ws contained in his letter, or it's possible, that his State Rep is more concerned with the Dream Act and has no knowledge Calif. State Rep. Honda and the issues he presented to the House of Rep's in regards to correcting current Immigration Law.

David Well, (S) has some major issues with the Bar Assoc., which I didn't know about when I retained him, I'm waiting on the Calif. S/Court and what there decission is in regards to previous clients complaints that have been filed against him. Once, I'm aware of his status, this will dictate what I need to do in the future. I won't say anything more about it here in this format, but will PM you, if you want the details.
  15. I haven't sat down to write any of the Senators or House Rep's yet, I will be very soon, for me it doesn't matter if they're a Dem or Rep. My other issue is waiting for the CSC and what there final decision is in regards with (S), if Barred or Reprimanded from Praticing law?
  16. If he'll change 16th to 21st, then we'll have something to talk about. Randy, I agree, I think he didn't read the whole thing, where he came up 16 instead 21, maybe a typo?
  17. Randy, In our Denial Notice there was nothing said that my son has to leave the country and no time limit to leave period. Dave PM'd me, asking some questions, the MTR is the best choice but a short time-frame to get it submitted. (S) missed the MTR timeline with us (May 31, 09), so were in for the long haul, (MCH) and (RP). (S) still wants us to file a new I-485, that won't happen, I've paid the fee once, I'll be dammed if I'll pay again!
  18. Very Very Slow at the moment, I haven't heard anything from USCIS (NTA), were well over 90 days and counting since the Denial Notice was received.
  19. Don't worry to much about getting her settled in once she's here, she find plenty of things to do around the house. The main point is to be there for her at the interview.
  20. Aha, the interview, my wife speaks broken English, which I know isn't very good, she did the entire interview in English and got pink. Surprised me, even though I knew she could do the interview in Chinese only. I think her son was very nervous at the interview, as far as I know, he wasn't asked a single question.
  21. Attending the ACH is the best time to ask question in regards to your case file and the pending interview, show them what you have, they may or may not tell you that your missing something in your documents, and if there satisfied they may say everything looks good. As for the EOR, simply this single most important document of a Continuous recording of an on-going relationship. What was submitted with your petition was and is only a fraction of what was contained in your EOR at interview time. Remember this, once your petition is approval with USCIS using this fraction of information, now you have to convince DOS with a stronger version of your relationship.
  22. Guys and Girls, always remember the closer you are to the intended travel date and you haven't purchased your tickets yet, the price will always be higher. My expeirence on one-way tickets, your going to pay about 75% of the RT cost. Best option, is buying the one-way ticket in China, about 10 day out from when you want to fly. 23. Your case sounds like another member of CFL, (Tsap) I think it took almost 2 years of waiting, before USCIS re-approved his wife's K1 Visa and sent it back to DOS for re-processing. Your notice I said his wife, they are married now, and I think he is living in China right now. He was in the same situation "Bona-fide Relationship Denial". Based on what your saying reference the CSC emails, your geting conflicting information, one person says the Visa expired, another person says it under review? Read the ellis-island thread about the expired items, this may give you more clarity. As for your lawyer, what state does he hold his state bar license with? Your have every right to file a complaint against him, if you have proof that he didn't do his job. Read the retainer agreement carefully, print his website information, quoting the statement of 100% guarantee. From the sounds of what you paid for, you got a paper-pusher, when you could have done the paparework yourself Do a state bar background check on him, you might be surprised at what you'll find-out about him. Good Luck and stay Positive, there is light at the end of the Tunnel.
  24. This is a good base for I-129F submission, just expand on what you have written to include additional visits up to the interview. As I have suggested in another thread about more visits, do some traveling together, meet her family, get there blessing, take a lot of pictures etc. The only red-flag I see, is the short time between meeting each other physically and your proposal which happened three days later on your first visit, GUZ will look very hard at this, so be prepared to over-come this small but critical problem. As I have mentioned above, visit her as much as you can between now and the interview, this for you and her is very important to prove to GUZ that you two have a bonafided relationship. Being there with her for the interview, IMO is an absolute must! Don't take anything for granted. You can rest assured GUZ won't. Good Luck
  25. Rob, Welcome to CFL First, get your feet on the ground and get a grip of yourself. Yes, it's possbile that you can be denied a K1 Visa for your fiancee. Since you have had only one visit (possible red-flag with GUZ), I would strongly suggest a 2nd (6 months from now) or 3rd visit (for the interview), this would improve your chances of showing GUZ that you do indeed have a "bonafide relationship", this is one of the main causes for denial. First, lets get a couple of things clear, document everything between you and her, emails, IM's, hand written letter, pictures (with names and dates of places you both have visited) and anything that can come to mind, get receipts of everything, plane bording pass stubs. There's a wealth of imformation here and advice from people who have gone through the same process your gettting ready to go through. At the top of the CFL main page, are links to provide you with all the info you need to be successful with your petition. I'm sure others here add more to what I have siad here, take all the advice and use it to your benefit, stay positive.
