  1. I got my NOA2 today!! Now it's time to get the AOS and IV items read for EP once the OPTIN is accepted!
  2. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong but I am thinking if that envelope is addressed to USCIS, then you wouldn't turn it in at the POE anyway. The reason I have that thought is CBP and USCIS are different agencies and it's CBP who is staffing the POE.
  3. Tsap: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :clapping: :toot: :coolthumb:
  4. Congrats bullmastiff! Li'l Rabbit's turn is next!
  5. Unless your lawyer is Marc Ellis or John Roth, I have to think their experience with GZ is minimal at best. By not frontloading, there is no guarantee that any of that evidence will be seen by a CO as they may not ask for it or give it right back without so much as a glance if your husband tries to give it to the CO unsolicited.
  6. Congrats and thanks for your write up!
  7. You father will fill out the I-864, not I-864A.
  8. Even with a sponsoring institution, a student visa is a non-immigrant visa. Therefore, she would have to show ties to the foreign country, having a parent who is an LPR does not do much to help that case. USICS does not issue visas, the State Department does. Pleading ignorance to USCIS will go nowhere, as for pleading ignorance to State, they have probably heard every excuse imaginable; so pleading ignorance to them will probably go nowhere also.
  9. Her name goes in field 1. My own rule of thumb is to interpret those questions as literally as possible. With that being said, if the address where she intends to live is your house in the states, put that. If you are not currently living there the date the document is signed, don't state that you do. By that same token, since the address is currently the same as your spouse, I would put "same as question #13." I have done some reading on this question on VJ and the intent of this question is people who are immigrating with the person. Since you are not immigrating, you would not list your name here. This is one instance where a question should not be taken in the literal sense.
  10. I would put "to be determined" for this question.
  11. For chat logs, I would suggest you take excerpts from your time together and submit those.
  12. Copy is fine for USCIS. I'm sure it's fine if you print what you scanned and sent that. If USCIS needs anything original, they will specifically ask for it.
  13. Correct. The green card would be given on arrival in the form of an I-551 stamp. The actual card will arrive in the mail a short time later. CR-1 has 6 months validity from the time it is issued and it is single entry. The valid time could be less if the validity of the medical exam expires before then. Having the green card will allow her to come and go from the US. Although she could not be outside the US for longer than 6 months without risking her status as an LPR.
  14. I kept things simple and to the point, however, mine ended up being 2.5 pages.
