  1. My wife and I will arrive at the finish line of our visa journey this Wednesday (12/7); that is her arrival date here. Exactly one month after the day I journeyed to GZ to be there with her.
  2. I've been following this on VJ. The paper Palladin's wife was handed after the interview clearly stated the file was going to be sent back. However, something has changed, instead of the file being sent back, it was placed into AP.
  3. I don't see how including the job offer letter with the remainder of the financial documents hurts you. Go ahead and include it.
  4. Hello and welcome to you A&B! When you reach the end of this tunnel, it will be one of the most wonderful feelings ever! Best wishes!
  5. She can pick up her passport from the nearby Post Office (it will have to be written on the waybill she ultimately obtains). She will know it's there by checking the tracking number on the waybill.
  6. Thank you all for your congratulatory wishes!!! I just did a write up over on VJ and linked to it below: Our interview experience
  7. Today my wife went in for her interview and she was APPROVED!!!!!!!! YAY!!! I'll write more of the experience up later! What a great day!!! Before I sign off, I want to especially thank Don (even though he is no longer here) for starting this board, Carl and Kyle for keeping it up, and the rest of the CFL community as a whole. I don't think I would have made it to this point without all of you and your help! Best wishes to all of us!!!
  8. That rumor is false. Your fiancee can go through San Francisco.
  9. When my wife has her document intake in two weeks, I am planning on having her submit tax transcripts for 2008 and 2009 (she will submit copies of the 1040EZ and W2 for 2010). My question is this, will they or could they ask for copies of the actual forms from 2009 and 2008?
  10. I moved some things around at work in order to obtain the necessary time off so I can be in Guangzhou when my wife has her interview. I leave on the 7th, very excited!
  11. That link you posted is not current, the page I will link to contains the most current information: China Post Delivery Of Approved Immigrant Visas Now Available To Applicants Throughout China I don't think mail delivery is the only option, but it is an option (IMO, the most convenient option).
  12. Will you owe me a beer also? I used the flight schedule tool on the LAX website a few minutes ago and it showed two Air China arrivals (flights 987 & 983) from Beijing on 10/24 that arrive at Terminal 2. TBIT is not the only terminal at LAX that has a Federal Inspection station, when I returned from vacationing in Australia in 2008, I cleared customs at Terminal 4. This is from wikipedia:
  13. Air China uses Terminal 2. Source: LAX website
  14. King County Washington has Chinese on the touch screen booths at the "accessible voting centers." Precinct polling places are no longer used here (I go to the the 'voting center' because I prefer to vote that way....in person). For those who opt not to go to the voting center, they can request a paper ballot in Chinese from the county elections department.
  15. What a difference a day makes, I called the NVC again today and they told me the interview has been scheduled!!!!!!! I received the interview letter a short time later in my inbox. Document intake will occur on November 9th, the interview itself will occur on November 10th!!!!!
  16. What a difference a day makes, I called the NVC again today and was told that an interview has been scheduled!!!!!!!!! Document intake on November 9th, interview on November 10th.
  17. NVC told me last night that there are no more dates for November. If you have not yet received an interview date, you probably won't get one until December.
  18. I called the State Department line during the day today and asked if an interview had been scheduled, they told me not yet. I called the NVC this evening and was told by the operator and had it confirmed by a supervisor that there are no more dates available for November.
