I think Ketchup has been displaced as the go to condiment by AMERICIAN FAT SAUCE otherwise known as Ranch dressing. I like the Canadian way of doing it by drowning the fries in Gravy.

Yep looked just like that.... IT WAS AWESOME!!! No line.......... Weird... HK Disneyland feels very 2nd rate. I man it is Disney quality, very clean and well done it is made p entirely of 2nd and 2rd line rides. Imagine if yo went to Disney in Anaheim and all that was open was like It's a small world, Peter pan and the teacups. Best ride there was Grizzly mountain railroad.

Actually we went to Hong Kong for 4 days and all was quiet. Saw no problems at all and we covered most of the place. We were there from the 17th to the 21st I guess it got a little more iffy after we left. I guess we benefited a little from the lack of travel to Hong Kong right now, hotel prices were great, we stayed at the Eaton HK in Kowloon for 65.00 USD a night and the trip to HK Disneyland was perfect.....the place was deserted maybe 500 people in the whole park no lines at all. How was 10/01 I bet the parade was on most of the channels. I watched some of it on U tube. Man those troops could march not being funny... those guys had perfect timing it was cool to watch.

Just buy it no worries from customs. I just came back yesterday we had 3 suitcases packed full of electronics I picked up in Shenzhen. I mean PACKED we had 20-30 of a few models of Bluetooth head sets for my wife to sell in our store. They asked us the value we spent on the goods and it was less then the $1600.00 USD we were allowed duty free. I had the receipts if they wanted to see them but they just said no need and waived us threw.

We will wait and see how things are around mid September, We may just spend the time in Shenzhen or even Shanghai.

Time for another trip to see the wife's family and this time we play tourist in Beijing checking out great wall, emperors palace and the like. Asking the few of us that live there (Randy mainly I think.) Any anti-USA sentiment going on now? Should I use my Canadian passport instead? I don't imagine it will be a problem not once have I run in to anyone giving us a hassle on previous trips. Was planning on swinging threw Hong Kong for a few days, it would be just my daughter and I in Hong Kong for the most part my wife has a few days she needs to take care of some things in her home town so she will join us to go to Shenzhen when she is done. Think it's ok to do this with out her being with us or should we wait and just skip Hong Kong altogether spending all our time in Shenzhen?

Well we're heading back across the ocean to visit the wifes family again. this time a pleasant surprise my daughter is actually going with us for three weeks. this is a huge thing for us as when my wife first moved over here almost 10 years ago now my daughter and wife hated each other and it was like that for many years I hate to say of it a lot of it came from my daughter side. but as I knew would happen my daughter matured from a 14 year old girl to a 23 year old college graduate who now thinks her stepmom is okay. My daughter is very excited to be traveling over to China to get to visit all the places I've gone before and see her step mom's hometown.

Yeah I saw this post doesn't really give any answers. I'm hoping they'll have just this extensive of movie selection as United and Air Canada.

I'm just curious about their movie selection on in-flight entertainment.

Wife brought her cat to the USA from China 10 years ago was only 350.00 USD the price you got was BS. If you have to fly there pick up the cats and fly back could be done for 1000-1500 max. Cats will need notes from Vet saying they are healthy.

Stared off in Shanghai, went to Wuxi (I like Wuxi fun place) then on to Nanjing nice but sad you need to go to the Nanking massacre memorial if you come to Nanjing. (A note on the memorial, China is a very noisy active place as we all know but is sections of this memorial the people were so quiet you would have sworn that you were alone. Allot of anger and contemplation going on.) Now we are in Nanchang (wife's hometown) till Sunday then it's a quick dash to see the Warriors and then back to Nanchang. Great trip so far 3 weeks left then back to to comfortable heat of AZ. Man I'm telling you I will take the 115f dry heat of AZ any day over the 95-98f 60%+ humidity of where I'm at any day......

Anyone been? 1 or 2 days needed to see it? I heard 1 is ok because there is not actually much there to see. Any thoughts?

My wife is a Huge animal lover she brought a cat with her when she moved to Arizona. So she was ok with me stopping the guy the way I did, hell if she would have seen it happen the guy may have been worse off. Wife also made a good point, since the guy never put up one shred of resistance in a way to fight back or copped a attitude he may not be a bad guy after all maybe he was just frustrated and having a bad day. Still dose not justify his actions but it could explain a little. As I said when he left he drove off slowly getting the dog repeatedly saying sorry more to the dog then me and at the end I had softened my tone and was saying treat the dog kindly, pointing at the sun and saying hot and the dog saying water. Bah it's all the Dragon Ladies fault lol. Since her arrival I now am the proud caretaker of 9.... Yes 9 cats and 2 dogs 1 bird (Could do with out the bird he is a idiot)Dogs I had when she arrived but all the cats came after. I seem to collect strays that move in once they find our house. So it's impossible for me to just sit back and watch it happen. I know I would not have resorted to hitting the guy unless I felt he was about to kill the dog. Still with I kept the dog it was a cutie barely weighted a thing.

Ok been 2nd guessing myself on a incident I had occur here in China a few hours ago. I was walking by the park near our hotel when I see this little 3 wheel super mini car/scooter go by me with this guy in it. The guy has a little dog doing it's best to keep up running next to him. They are going not much faster then walking speed but it's a very hot day 98f and at least 65% humidity and this little dog can not keep up. I would say the dog is a Shitzu type small with little legs. I kinda see it happen the 1st time I see the guy stop the bike and lift up on the leash suspending the dog by the next for a second or two then he put it down. I kinda think wtf but it happen so fast I think maybe he pulled the dog out of traffic. Well he starts out again drives maybe 25 feet and the dog trips and falls so he stops and dose it again. This time I know what's going on so I just move. I walk up to the guy lift up the dog, push him back into the seat of his scooter and stand accross the front wheel/handle bars so he can't leave. I proceed to hit him with all the Chinese swear words I know and gave him a free English lesson on some I bet he didn't. I grabbed the belt and motioned to his throat and made it clear that if I saw him choking the dog I was goning to make his dentist very happy. I yelled at him for a few minutes and a croud of people stopped to watch so I figured I'd better be going. I regret not taking the dog from the guy and paying him something for it. I worry he beat the dog after he left. He kept saying sorry and looked scared and remorseful at the same time as he left with the dog on his lap. Think I should have grabbed the dog I could have made arrangements to take it back with me. Or would I have gotten arrested for taking it. Robert

Hello All, hope everyone is well. As the topic states I have a question about passport renewal. I sent it in about 2 weeks ago and already have my New passport in my posession. My question is I was expecting them to update the old passport with the new Exp date listed in it but they sent a whole new passport. This normal? Will I ever need to show dates of travel that were listed in the old passport? DO I request the old one be returned also? Let me know what you know... Robert

What do you think turn around time for a renewal of a passport is?

Maybe not the right place for this question bur what the hell I'm a Rebel! Going to get a nice shiney 10 year visa in a few weeks and I see I got 15 months left on this passport. If I get the visa 1st will they limit it to the exp date on my passport or can I renew it after and still have the 10 year? Also anyone know how long to get a renew? Robert
