  1. I have a question about charging items using a Powered USB hub. I got a powered 7 port USB hub when I was in China and I use it for charging my speakers I take to the swap meet. My question is do you think if I am charging 7 at once the USB power on the hub could drop so it is not charging the speakers fully or it will take a longer time to charge them? The Specs on the hubs power supply are INPUT 100-240V-50/60Hz 0.60a OUTPUT: 5V-2000mA ÜÓ
  2. Ok just got back from the swap meet, Effff me hotter then hell!!! Slow day at the place did about 230.00 in sales so it was a ok day. Nutttin I can think about quittin the bus drivin job but maybe it can grow to that.
  3. As I told people before Hui and I brought back some speakers from China to sell. Well they sold great, I sold out in 4 day so Hui got on the computer and found the factory and we ordered 320 more. Tomarrow is our 1st day of business. We will open up at the Swap meet in Phoenix and see how we do. The plan is to see how we do at this swap meet while we wait for the huge one near our home to get busy. I hope we do well I cant bear to think of the mop slap headed my way if we bomb....
  4. Ok that was funny. I Hui got the shipping down to 1650RMB for DHL. Better shipping rates.
  5. We may do something like this. Buy alot now so I have more to sell and then order more next week but ship them by sea freight or China post for future sales. If you don't mind me asking what do you sell? I sell the Mini USB speakers that are battery powered and take USB or Micro mem cards to play MP3's. they do very well in sales.
  6. We are ordering 320 more speakers, 5 different models I can do at different prices. The weight is 60Kg Hui told me. I will ask her to try and get the shipping down a bit, maybe we can ship the next set by sea. I brought 65 or so back with me and I am down to just 8 after 2 days of selling them.
  7. Hey all I was wondering if anyone has done some importing of goods for resale. We brought back about 60 Mini USB speakers with us in our suitcases they have almost sold out in 2 days, now we want to have some more sent over. Hui found the factory for the speaker brand we want to import and they can handle shipping, we got a quote for shipping at 3200RMB for the number we are ordering once they ship using DHL will they handle customs also? I have read some sites where people say they have just placed their orders and have had no problems with delivery at all. Question is what are the tax\duty ramifacations. I have tried to use online duty calculators but they give widely different answers. I have read threw many blogs, message boards, websites and the like and they give answers varying from "i've made two big orders through dhgate coming to the US. I have had no duty taxes yet so it's going good for me so far." to others that say the rates are about 2-6% depending on the value and item. Kind of confused UPS international is supose to be calling me back sometime today but I thought maybe the brain trust here had some ideas...
  8. He forgot the most important advise............ Buy Cheetos!.... They can be very therapeutic during the whole process.
  9. Well our time in Nanchang has come to a end and we are now in Wuxi, was a nice trip here both legs of the trip on the Fast train. The D I think it was top speed we hit was 257Kph. So it's not as fast as the Bullet train but the wife said it's safer. Tomarrow we go to look at some lake... >grumble< (we can look at water in Arizona says I ). Then it's off to her Fathers village to see her grandmother. After a 1/2 there back to Wuxi and on to SHanghi for our last couple days. Any recomendations of 2 days in Shanghai? I want to see Crazy only in China kinda Shanghai. Robert
  10. I say we try to get em to start a trend of Ass-less pants. FREE THE TINY HINEY could be the brand name. I will get started on this and go find a company to make them. hmmmm maybe will get the skizors and go see if I can get a few of the ladys to let me make em a custom pair! Oh can you imagine, getting off the plane and seeing a nation of firm perky tiny.....>THUD<..........Oh damn it someone throw some water on Tsap and wake him up.....
  11. Only in China could you get a better chicken sandwich at Mcdonalds then at KFC. Right now Mcdonalds has a Chicken sandwich that is spicey has Bacon, Cheese and this special sauce on it...... Oh man is it great. I hope they send it over to us in the USA. At KFC I had a nasty chopped and formed chicken sandwich with no breading covered in a weird BBQ flavor sauce that was a real disapointment.
  12. Please see other post, trying to pack some of it up later today. Robert
  13. I'm going to need a powered USB hub to charge the speakers I am brining back. Question is can I buy one here in China and have the power supply workin the USA? The plugs look the same but will the voltage be the same. Or I do have a small power/voltage thingie I use to recharge my chinese electric razor. What do you suggest? Robert
  14. Ok so as I mentioned before Hui and I are brining back about 75ish USB speaker of various size and value. All total we spent about 3700RMB so Im under the $800.00 duty/tax free limit a US citizen can bring back on a single trip. My question is how should I pack these things.Hui can fit most of them in to a mid size suitcase they should allow as a carryon bag. Would Security let this back threw screening? Or would they not like so many electronic devices in 1 carry on, when she has them all in there it's packed to the bustin point. Or should we just put them in the normal suitcases and check them? Hui wants to do carry on becasue sheis sure the Chinese bag handlers jump up and down on each bag before they load it. Also on the custons form I just put value of item purchased at say 675.00 or do I need to list each item? Thanks for the feedback. Robert

  18. Relax, go visit family or friends take a few days to calm down. Then buy yourself a ticket head back to China file the IR-1 work for a few months if you can. Like Dan said it's fast now, you both could still be back by christmas. You have the best fix to this a Direct file is the fastest.
  19. Lol this is close to it. the one i like is not so aero dynamical as Tsap would say. mine looks more like a really small 1970's VW bus.
  20. think they would tax me on them? or duty? i can have the seller write a lower price on the receipt is we need to...
  21. Would it make a differance if the car/whatever you could call it had a engine less then 49cc. the thing only goes like 35-40 mph. so maybe different rules?
  22. A man chaseing a frog down the street that escaped from his shopping bag..... Ok your turn.... What have you seen.
  23. i just looked at my pictures of it again and it looks like I could add a seatbelt easy.
  24. I have seen these cool inclosed 3 wheel scooter that for lack of a better description look like a Pill or egg. I really want to see if I can have one sent back to Arizona. Think it can be done? They cost about 4.8k rmb and im not sure on shipping costs. If I can get it there think there will be a problem getting it licensed? It has a windsheild whiper, headlight, turn signals and back up lights on it. Only thing I saw it dose not have would be a seatbelt. Think the DMV would have any problems? Robert
  25. Hui and I want to bring back about 80 small speakers you can use with a laptop or Ipod/Mp3 player. Can I bring that many of an item back in my suit case? i think we are spending about 650.00 USD to buy the items? Will I run into any trouble or dose anyone have any advise on how to do it? Robert
