  1. You can send it direct to the consulate, but like Donahso said you need the GUZ # and all other info he said. If your uncle wants to do it this way, contact the consualte first in an e-mail and ask who to address it to and ask them to let you know when they receive it. Just remember all the papers coming from NVC now are being held at Chinese customa in GZ, so I don't know if his papers would also be held. You could loss more than 2 months, maybe he can fax it to them? Write the consulate.
  2. Congradulations Frank, tell her to check with the White Swan Hotel after she sends it back to make sure they deliver it to the embassy. Ours was loss for a month, when the post (EMS) said it was delivered. Good luck.
  3. Just check on some past post. Dave G. just left his a few days ago. The most comman is "How did you meet", but they can ask any questions they want.
  4. YC is taller than the papers, but she also has 2 little daughters, 7, twins to help her carry everything. Of course that is with high shoes. without shoes, she is only 2 feet tall. That is why I picked her, I can carry her on my back, but she kicks like a horse.
  5. The I-134 for is for you to fill out. It is not included in any packet she or he will get. You can download it off the internet and send or bring it to her or he. You need two copies and have them notorized. You also need the last year of your income tax also, 2 copies, and have this notorized also. This is for K-1, for K-3 you need last 3 years of your tax returns. You need a lot more to send, so look on Q & A for more info.
  6. I would say it is a good idea to contact them every week. The people that handle e-mails and phones do just that. You are not taking people away from the visa process and sometimes a nice person will help you. At the very least, you will let them know you care and you can also find out if anything is lost. The embassy definitely keeps all your e-mails and the responses.
  7. Thank's again tywy 99. I told YC to be there at 6 oclock, maybe I'll tell her 7, but than she won't be there till 8. I wish I was in your an Dave G position and all this was behind us. but we all have to take our turns and go through it. She has a pile of papers 3 feet high, so I can only hope at this point. 23 months is a long time to wait.
  8. PJ if you get any offers for it in cassette form and you don't want it, please e-mail me because I would like to have it. Thank's
  9. Thanks tywy 99. YC was in GZ yesterday for her medical and spoke with the guard at the gate. He did mention that the Consulate would be closing for a short time, but didn't say when. He also told her that now there is only one interview. He told her to come early in the morning with all papers because everything is done at one time, and if you pass. get the visa next day.
  10. What does this mean if you have your interview date already. Our's is Nov. 13. I got an e-mail from them yesterday and they didn't mention anything about cancelling it. Gee's got enough worries without this.
  11. DAve and Dave, Thank you, that takes a lot of pressure off my mind.
  12. My Fiancee got her P-4 packet last week. This is for a K-1 Visa. The consulate asks for a form-9003, but it wasn't in the packet. Can someone tell me if this form is needed for a K-1 and what is it. I can't find it in any government sites. Thanks
  13. Make sure when she sends it back to GZ that she send it EMS and tell her to make sure that the White Swan Hotel brings it to the consulate. I lost 45 days because the consulate never received the P-3 back. THe China post told my Fiancee it was received, but never said it was received by the hotel and not the consulate. Many of the P-3's end up at the White Swan Hotel. Good luck you are close. Gte the new GUZ # so you can keep e-mailing GZ.
  14. woody, From all I have heard about your State, they are trying to stop all this illegal immigration because I have heard figures like 35,000 a month coming in. This was a few months ago. But I thought of something. In Hawaii, all you need is a picture ID to get married. If your lady is here on false ID, what can she show if this is the law in AZ? If she came in on >A< passport with >A< ID and she is really >B<, than legally you will be marrying >A< which is not your girl>B< in name. The person that gives you the marriage license doesn't know her so >A< name will apear on the wedding license, but she is really>B< so in the States eyes, this girl isn't your wife,>A< is your wife. You have really opened a can of worms with this one. If you love her and she could marry in her real name, than I say marry her, but if you are marrying under a false name, you may walk one morning to someone you don't know. You say the two of you have a had time talking with each other because of language. Get a translater and clear this up before you do anything. Just my thoughts. If I can help in any way, e-mail me because I can't get on cfl too often.
  15. A lot depends on the State you live in and how that State views illegals. Some States are more acceptable than others.
  16. jkobman, These petitions take different times for everyone. When you go take 4 copies of your I-129F to fill out and also your G-325. This way if they are lost in mail you have copies. Take as many photos> with dates on< of you and your fiancee together. Include her family and friends. Make two sets, one for her and one for you, start an album, you will be there during the Christmas season, so get as many backdrops of known Chinese posters, hotels anything with names. Also you never know how many trips you will take, so keep every receipt you can, travel cheques at banks, money machines, any pay parks, bus tickets, hotel bills, anything and everything. Many forms that she will need for P-3 and P-4 can't be downloaded in China, but you can bring them and help her fill them out so you both have a copy. Think ahead. Example, DS-156, 156K, 157 for P-4. Get copies of her birth certificate, divorse, passport. Look on the government site for Q & A to get more ideas. Hope you case goes fast and good luck. OH! when you send anyting to our government, send it by Priority mail with conformation and keep everything. E-mails, phone bills, everything.
  17. belle, You will a K-1 visa can't invite them. Thay can apply for a visitor visa if they are wealthy as robhon said and may get it, but will take more than the 3 months you have to marry, unless they really have pull. Your Fiancee would have to invite them and submit a letter of invite and a I- 134 for for them. This is my understanding, but this has been brought up in the past so cheack past post.
  18. konajim, Give a call to Chinese Dynasty Furnishings, Inc. in Honolulu, phone 942-2288, and ask them what they would charge you to ship it to Hawaii. They have a factory in ShenZhen and bring futnisher to Costco in Kona every few months for show and sale. I don't know if they will help you, but ask for Tony and give it a try. What can you loss?
  19. dvs7310, You said you are married, I am not sure, but for a K-3, I think you need the last 3 years of your income tax, its's pnly one year for K-1. if it's one year or three, you will need two copies and have everything notorized.
  20. You may also have to pay a small fee for not using the Chinese Visa you now have. Something in the application for Chinese visa states that if you don't use your visa there is a charge.
  21. Don't be too surprised if she has to pay about $ 30. Chinese tax on your box that you valued and $ 95. Anything over $ 40 dollars the Chinese take tax from the receiver. Hope they miss your, but tell her to be prepared to pay.
  22. Send by ground shippment and put the address in Chinese characters and a phone number of the party you will ship to. It will take about 3 months. Good luck.
  23. Visitor Visa's are hard to get if there are relatives in this country. The VO will need proof they will return. Letters from family, friends, employers, anything showing property, bank accounts, work. You will need to still send a I-134 for them also and a letter of invite. Give it a try, you can only be refussed. Good luck.
