We just filed AOS ( I485) EAD (I765) and AP (I131) this morning in Boston. WE were told that all applications as of February 17th 2004 will now be forwarded to the National Benefits Center in Chicago, IL for processing this office will no longer process the applications, even if you filed in Boston prior to the change date you will still be processed by mail through Chicago. I don't know if this applies to other field offices but I would imagine it does, since all applications are being processed through the central goverment in Chicago this will probably mean intial processing delays while they play catch up with this new processing method. Supposedly we are to recieve a filing reciept in 21 days and the EAD and AP will be mailed directly to us when processed. Good luck....... Frank & Gail Boston

There has been an enormous amount of reports about the difficulties that changing names had caused after marriage especially in China.......imagine if you were a US citizen, moved to China, got married and changed your last name..........? It is not that simple.

We just decided to keep francine'e maiden name and not change it........ It seemed like too much trouble, she owns properties in China and we would have to change her name on her college degrees, etc...........but to each there own I guess....

Francine ( Gail ) and I got married in Quincy City Hall this morning at 9:30 AM. We said our vows and that was it. Nice, Simple and Quick! Francine wore a white qipao and looked very beautiful. Now off to AOS. Good luck to everyone. Frank & Gail Boston

I can't believe that Francine ( Gail ) is finally on her way, she left Beijing this morning and will arrive in Chicago POE around 4:30 PM today, it seems just like yesterday that we were stuck in P3 hell. Well, I'm busy scrubbing and cleaning the house.......looks like Spring cleaning came little early this year
