  1. Congrads Jerry, now don't get nervous. Just 3 weeks away, wish you all the luck with the interview, you will do fine.
  2. Jerry, you will need to make an appointment for the medical. At least that is true in GuangZhou. I would have thought you would have your interview date by now. My computer has been down for a while.
  3. Jerry, you sound like you have fell in the same hoe as me. Our P-3 was sent and EMS confirmed delivery. The consulate said the were processing it but it wasn't in their system. I sent another e-mail telling them the time, date and day it was delivered. Finally they admitted not receiving it and asked me to fax the 230 and 169 and e-mail they as soon as I did it. They confirmed receipt all in a few hours. Yours has been a week. your only EMS receipt is from the White Swan, that ends it for the China post. The consulate always says they are processing things they don't have. I loss a month and I was in China at the time and could have brought it to the consulate. Good luck
  4. Good luck and a fast trip to the US for her.
  5. Jerry, are you sure the consulate got your P-3? Did you send them an e-mail to be sure they have it. Yours should be in their system by now. Don't take a change, it may have been misplaced. Jesse, it will probably take between 1 to 2 months for the P-4, many holidays coming up.
  6. Jeff, Forgot, make sure you put her address down in Chinese Character where it calls for it on the I-129F.
  7. Jeff, When you send these papers in you also have to show evidence of your meeting in person, photos, also if you went to China, include copies of your tickets and hotel, and anything you have receipts for. Her son will need a passport at time of interview if he is coming with her. Of you have any documents showing your relationship send copies also. Keep everything in folders incase anything gets lost.
  8. E-mail GZ and ask if they received your DS-230 and OF-169. Tell them the date you sent it. It may still be a White Swan Hotel. It takes about a month after they receive your P-3 before they send out the P-4
  9. Jerry, fax them the address and than send an e-mail telling them the time and day you sent the fax. Use GZ time, and fax the e-mail you just received from GZ first so they know what the fax is for.
  10. welcome ahhming888, and good luck with your quest. when your Fiancee send you the G-325A make many copies of it and everything else she sends. Get lots of folders and keep everything and anything. also when she sends back the G-325A ask her for her Chinese Character address and go to a print shop and make labels of it. You will be sending lots of thing for her and to have the labels will help everything get to her.
  11. Jerry, if the GZ number says that your P-3 went out Nov. 5 and your wife has not received it yet, send an e-mail to GZ and tell them. This happened to us and we finally had to fax the address in Chinese Character. That is the only sure way the post can find the house. There system of EMS is a little different than here. the post over there handles it, but it has to be signed for. She could go to the post office of her area and ask if it is there. Your I-129 form asks for the address in Chinese Character. Don't wait do something or you could loss lots of time.
  12. And don't forget to add the taxes you pay Uncle Sam every year.
  13. One thing everyone should think about. We are dealing with the Federal government, not local government. There is no excuse why a person living on the East Coast should get approval for I-129 in 10 to 14 days when a person living someplace else most wait 3 or 4 months. The IRS doesn't say, OH! you live in Ca. so your taxes arent do till June 15 and not April 15. This visa process should be equally fair for all parts of the country and the processing at GZ should also be first in first out, but not so. It is one delay after another. Any e-mails you receive from GZ that are to petitioner have been computer generated, get use to that. When they answer your e-mail it will be addressed to your name. You don't take time from the VO's by your e-mails. there are people there that are paid with your money to write e-mails to you and that is all they do. When was the last time you ever went to any government office and saw people running around doing everything??? The longer each petition take the less other people will want to start a petition. Who, knowingly wants to start a relationship knowing it is goint to take 2 years to be >maybe< together. I the government wanted, every visa petition could be finsihed in 1 month, isn't that what we spent all this money for Homeland Security Department for?
  14. Unless you know someone that tells you about cfl or your Fiancee finds out from 001 about cfl, where would you know about it. Many people that are petitioning for China visa's feel they are alone in their quest. The people on candle are very lucky to have this support. Just imagine how difficult we have it with the support of candle, think how alone you would be without it, well this is probably how they feel. The stats that are recorded on this post, well this could be only the numbers that actually get visas and not the number of petitions processed, but either way, I can tell you that no government agency is over worked and GZ is no exception. This new customs delay that GZ is blaming on China's new customs laws. Come on give me a brake. This is American, we went to war without UN approval. does anyone here thiink our petitions from NVC would be held by Chinese customs, if GZ didn't want to delay visas.
  15. If you have ever been to the consulate in GZ, you will find that the people are standing around BS ing with others in the offices. You have more to loss by not writing once a week, than writing. Once a week is not more than they can handle and like Jerry said, you have more chance to see if your P-3 was lost in route. Remember you are dealing with government people.
