Second half of April Interviews
mikepellicore replied to mikepellicore's topic in Consulate Process: P-3 ~ Interview
Rod, "Gakuken" @ VJ 4/21, IR-1/CR-1 IVLP CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! ! We got 2 more ! ! ! ! Isn't it great ! ! ! Mike & Yizhen -
Not you cguo7, waingro! His wedding to receiving P-3 is less than 30 days. He was married 3/18/09, P-3 date was 4/9/09, and he received the P-3 on 4/18/09. It is by far the fastest DCF I have ever heard of! Maybe GUZ is starting something new, INSTANT GREEN CARDS! Maybe they will start doing this for all visa applicants. I am sorry to be so sarcastic, but this is unheard of. The times you said were slow, were actually on the short end, and your case is overdosed on crystal-meth. Please tell us what you did to get this speedy treatment. We would like to help others in the future, Mike & Yizhen

Latest-Greatest BEST WAY to call China
mikepellicore replied to griz326's topic in Communications, Planes, Shipping & Money
For onesuite, it is only by the minute, there are no other charges. There is one drawback, it is $0.27/minute to call from China to USA. If calling from China is important, then there could be better options, maybe a combination of onesuite and something else to call from China. We only used skype everyday, before Yizhen came to USA, it was free, and we could see each other at the same time. Now she can call her family every day if she wants, Mike and Yizhen -
Latest-Greatest BEST WAY to call China
mikepellicore replied to griz326's topic in Communications, Planes, Shipping & Money
We have been using onesuite for 3 years, and for convenience and price, it seems to be one of the top options. We have three phones on the system, 1 touch dial for access and pin, and up to 50 programable numbers, just a 2 digit code for each. $0.022/minute, $1.32/hour, on some holidays the cost was only $0.018/minute. It is a prepay system, they alert you when the balance gets to $1, and your membership is auto extended for 6mos. every time you call. When we first started, the membership was six mos. for each deposit, and I deposited $50, it took more than 6 mos. to use the $50, so we had to call and extend. They have made that much better now! interview date re-scheduled
mikepellicore replied to cguo7's topic in Consulate Process: P-3 ~ Interview
I didn't see this before I replied to your PM, we are so happy for you! Did you use your husband's email address? was your address always the primary? This could be useful information! Again, we are very happy with your good fortune, GOOD LUCK on the 27th, mike & Yizhen -
CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! Thanks for the interview recap, Mike & Yizhen

Hello and welcome, if you make $25k and have no other dependents, you should have no problem on your own. If a co-sponsor is needed, then they must supply all the needed documentation. The minimum income is about $17,500. Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen

cguo7, you should have your timeline updated, for others to see. when was your approval, and did you delay returning the P-3 for a reason? The P-3, P-4. Interview time frame is about the same for all visas. P-3 returned, 1 month, P-4, 1 month, interview. DCF approval to P-3 is much quicker for DCF, because there is no time in Customs. Once approved in GUZ, then the P-3 is sent. Mike & Yizhen waingro, I am not sure about the exact date of cguo7's approval, but it would seem to be in the normal range, but it is not shown here or in the timeline.

CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! GOOD LUCK, Mike & Yizhen -
I think something like the first $87,000USD each is tax exempt for income earned outside the US. You should contact an accountant for advice on filing. Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen

CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! ! Good things come in big bunches, Mike & Yizhen -
Hello John, we called DOS, and received the P-3 sent from DOS on 5/30/07, we returned the P-3 on 5/31/07. We received the P-3 in the mail on 6/7/07. We had no problems, it depends on the computer and the operator at DOS, how much time you can save. The operator that told us the P-3 was sent, said it was sent a week earlier, I had called the day before and I was told that we were in queue. Many people now are saying to call twice a day. GOOD ADVICE! Check out the WIKI Shortcuts @ VJ, and be sure to call for the P-4 also, so you can have a few extra days to plan your trip. Get your paperwork in order and Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen DOS - 202-663-1225-1-0

Hello LiangJai, your P-4 should come 4 to 6 weeks after they receive your P-3. Your appointment date should be available from DOS 7 to 10 days before you receive the P-4(202-663-1225-1-0). You should start calling 4/20. Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen Hello okie2, your approved petition was sent to the NVC, you should be able to ask them for the GUZ #(603-334-0700) speak to an operator. It will be sent to GUZ quickly, then you will wait 2 to 4 months for the case to be entered/received by GUZ. You can start calling DOS at about 2 months (202-663-1225-1-0). You should find out about your P-3 before it is received, you can return the P-3 docs as soon as it is in the system, before you actually receive it. You will need to prepare all the Original Documents need for the Interview. Then follow the info above for the P-4 and the DOS (Department of State). Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen

Buick is the only US auto to be ranked in the top 10 cars( Reliability and customer satisfaction) over the last 10 years, every year! This year it tied for 1st, I think the US customers should look at the value of the US cars. The Buicks are usually the most powerful and near the most efficient in their class. My brother was driving an 16 year old Buick Roadmaster, fully loaded, it got 23 miles per gal on the HWY, 180K miles, until some guy on a cell phone drove into the rear of his car in the rain, he hit a wall head on at 50 mph and the air bags deployed. The car was destroyed, but my brother got out and walked away. 2/09. I agree that they need to work on their image, and try to broaden their customer base, but they produce a great car at a good value. That should really be enough. Mike & Yizhen

Alien registration number
mikepellicore replied to chazzy1098's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
We have no registration number on our K-3 Visa. So far the only place we have found the A # is on the NOA's. It is not on the P-4 appointment letter, but there is a place we entered it on the DS-230. Maybe it will be on our IR-1 Visa? Mike & Yizhen -
Alien registration number
mikepellicore replied to chazzy1098's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
For Yizhen, the numbers were located in the Beneficiary's Box, above her name. There have always been inconsistencies with the "A number", some people get it, some don't, and others get more than one. This is true for all visa types. The most important thing is to make sure it is always the same after you receive it. Mike & Yizhen Rog, we are well and returning to China for the IR-1, finally! After ten days in GUZ, we will spend 6 weeks with the family.
