  1. Dave, USCONGUZ answered a Dec. 08 PM from me on Jan. 6, 09, but according to the profile they were last active Jan 20, 2009. I hope they will return in the future, Mike & Yizhen
  2. Hello George, thanks for the recap, I was looking for the recent PINKS that have not written reviews, we all need to review for the future interviewee's. Mike & Yizhen
  3. It is even more muddled, I just went to the consulate, and they are very crowded with appointments and I was # 13 to be handled if they got the appointments out of the way. There were no seats and people standing, some of them may not have taken a number. Any how, I decided to ask 1 of the guards. They told me that NIV ACH was 3 to 4 and IV ACH was 1:30 to 2:30, so now we have even more questions. I guess I will go over there at 1pm and just wait until I get to ask the VO what the story is along with my questions. I do remember that there was 2 different ACH hours back in 2007 when I went for the K-3, but I think they were on different days. It probably doesn't make any difference which one you go to, it is probably the same VO's. Waiting for the further adventures ! ! Mike & Yizhen by the way, Yizhen was telling me 1pm from 001 also, there is something about American Petitioner's Hour under the Immigrant Visa section on the GUZ website, but I can't read it, it comes out in computer code
  4. Dave, that notice says NVI, non immigrant visas, and all K and CR/IR visas are immigrant visas. Several people have posted the 2:30 to 3:30 time with a 2 to 2:15 sign in. I will just have to go to the consulate today and try to get the answer. I will post in the Pinned ACH / ACS thread. Thanks, Mike & Yizhen
  5. If anyone has been to ACH recently? Can you please clarify the designated time, PLEASE? Thanks, Mike & Yizhen
  6. Hello all recent interviewees, please, while the info is still fresh write your reviews for those coming after us. I know you are celebrating, but please help, the reviews can sometimes point out a small detail or question that can be of great help to those coming right after us. CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! and Thanks for helping, Mike & Yizhen
  7. Hello Roger, I just woke up, and I had to check the computer. I was posting about writing reviews of the interviews when your message popped up. Thanks for thinking of us. After reading, rereading, and then rereading again tonight, I still see Non Immigrant Visas in the notice from GUZ. In the pinned ACH & ACS section that notice is posted several times by several people, but I think it was Randy that said that the IV ACH was 2:30 to 3:30, arrive by 2pm, and the cutoff is 2:15. It has been posted in several places that it is 2:30 not 3:00, bur I am still not sure. I will go there tomorrow and ask, unless someone post a better answer. Thanks for thinking about us, Mike & Yizhen
  8. Hey Roger, I think I am losing it, isn't the IV ACH from 2:30 to 3:30? Please arrive between 2 and 2:15. I can't locate it at the GUZ website, but I have it written down from the 2007 interview. Did they change the time?Mike & Yizhen
  9. Thanks Roger, I sent an email to my son right after I posted. I was hoping not to have to bother him. Mike & Yizhen
  10. Couldn't get much easier! unless it came out of a CrackerJack box. Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen
  11. May 8th is a Friday, where did you see the notice for this "reception"? Did it give any other info about the nature of this reception? I will ask about it at ACH on the 27th and post here for you. Please give me more info if you can, Mike & Yizhen
  12. Thanks Randy, but I want to change my att plan to international calling so I can make these 3 calls @ $0.15 per minute. My family is connected to my onesuite account, they can call me on my old phone that has a chinese sim card, and I can use this cell phone for calling in China. I don't know how to contact ATT in China, so I can change the calling plan. Is there a customer service number for ATT in China? or do I have to have somebody change the plan in the USA? Thanks, Mike & Yizhen
  13. I am here in GUZ, and I need to make 3 calls to the US while I am here in China for the next 5 weeks. How can I use my att phone, or activate international calling so I don't have to pay large fees. I have an unlocked phone with a Chinese sim card, and I have my att phone here also. Can I access Att from here to change my plan, add international calling? Please help. I thought I was prepared, but I forgot about the calls home to US. Thanks, Mike & Yizhen
  14. Maybe I am way off base, but I thought a K-3 could be in the country of marriage, but that the CR-1/IR-1 would be in the country of citizenship? If she is in fact a Chinese citizen, then the CR-1/IR-1 interview would be in Guangzhou, China and the Petitioner would not be allowed to attend. I could be off base, but with the info I read, that's my thinking, Mike & Yizhen
  15. CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! ! ! 7 down and 2 to go, it's going to be a PINK SWEEP, Mike & Yizhen
  16. CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! ! ! trudger24 That is number 7, 2 more to go! Mike & Yizhen
  17. CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! ! ! trudger24 That is number 7, 2 more to go! Mike & Yizhen
  18. C4Racer, the AOS address is for the I-864 Affidavit of Support, and the CMR envelope is for both of their DS-230's and their documents. You should PM Lock, for better answers, their parents just got pink this week! Your CMR zip code is different than mine, it must be for the IR-5's. Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen
  19. Randy I wish the question was clarified, I hate be speculating, but here I go: the I-864 would be sent to NVC ATTN: CMR AOS - Zip - 03801-2909 the DS-230 and documents to NVC ATTN: CMR - Zip - 03801-2901
  20. Randy, it sounds like maybe the NVC is requesting the documents, but I think the question should be clarified, Mike & Yizhen
  21. I have a few suggestions, 1. imodium/or favorite equal 2. favorite laxative 3. asprin/or favorite headache remedy 4. tums/ favorite heartrburn medicine 5. if you like an occasional drink, the beer is very good, but US liquor, is very expensive and hard to find, so pick up your favorite at the duty free shop in the airport, ice is also very hard to find. Good Luck, have the time of your life, Mike & Yizhen When I got to China the first time, I got constipated, I asked my wife to help me, and between her and the pharmacist, they assumed I had diahrea, because many visitors get it from the water, so I got worse! Luckily, my mother-in-law figured it out, she ran out the door and got me the right medicine, and the rest of the trip was perfect. By the way, I got an adaptor for free when I purchased 2 bottles of alcohol. Also 10% discount for 1 bottle, and 15% for 2, I have 2 liters for 51 days
  22. Hello Scott, If you sent copies of these documents when you filed, then they may asking you to bring the originals for their perusal. I would not get too defensive yet, but I do not know how often they tell people they can bring Counsel, if they wish! Hopefully someone will comment on that! With your history, it may take more than one interview, but you will prevail. You are together, and you will get through this. Best wishes and Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen
  23. GOOD LUCK ! ! ! ! trudger24, we have had 5 pinks and 1 pink in AP, it will be a clean sweep!!! 6 down and 3 to go, Mike & Yizhen
  24. Sebastian, you do not need to make the barcode any more. If you have paid online via the internet payment center, you can print the cover page the same day you can send the AOS or DS-230 packages. None of the shortcuts have been updated completely, to account for all the new changes. There are now 3 or 4 different sets of shortcuts and you need to interpret them and formulate your own plan. GUZ also has it's own set of quirks. Now you can usually pay, print, and send before actually receiving the hard copy of the invoice via mail, if you are prepared. Some approvals are moving so much quicker now that the petitioners/beneficiaries are a little behind in the document collection. I always thought that these visa cases were diplomatic files that should be delivered without customs inspection, but I was told that when they process an "expedited case", the case file is delivered via Diplomatic Pouch, from NVC directly to the Consulate. Hopefully these changes will speed thing up, it doesn't help us all that much, but those in the future will enjoy the benefits of getting there wives/fiancees to the US sooner. Mike & Yizhen
