My wife's son is 14 and I would like to adopt him. Is it true that if he is adopted before 16 he will be naturalized under my citizenship? What are the USCIS forms or requirements to adopt him. My wife recently received her K1 Visa approval in Guanghzou. Can someone tell me when she will receive her alien registration number. Her A.....number. What form does it come on and when in the process. She has not come to the usa yet and we have not filed any additional paperwork such as adjustment of status, etc. Thanks in advance for your help. chazzy1098

My Fiance was granted her K-1 Visa on 15 January!!! I cannot emphasize the importance of my attending the citizen meeting at the embassy on Monday before her Thursday interview. I had a 10 minute private discussion with the VO and I believe this was the critical point where I overcame any problems early before my Fiance would be confronted at her interview. If at all possible, go to this meeting and also the fact that your fiance can show your passport and show you have come to China to support her getting a Visa carries much weight to show your relationship is true and sincere.

My fiance is going for her interview on Jan 15th. I have an important question on form Guv 24. My parents came to America from Europe in 1950 right after world was 2 and like many immigrants "came over on the boat" and was issued a letter of intent entry. I need to fill in the Visa Type and I do not know how to call this. Can someone please help me on how to fill out this part of the form. Thanks. I need info at once.

I am an American Male engaged to my Chinese fiance and we are going for a K-1 Visa. She has received this form in her packet GIV-24 and we are at a loss as to what to make of it. Does a K1 visa fill this out and if so how do they do it. The language between spouse and petitioner and fiance is confusing. Question 5 is really confusing. Our interview is in 9 days. The citizen meeting at the embassy is now on Monday afternoon which I plan to attend. Has anyone attended this meeting. What type of security measures do they have to let me in. Do I need any special papers. Any info would be appreciated. chazzy1098

I am on disability income both from private insurance and social security. I receive way over the required amount of income for the k1 visa application. I have letter from my private insurance company and also social security proving my income. I also have bank statement. I have doctor letter. Should I expect any problem showing income such as this to qualify for visa for my fiance. Is there a law that the interview can't ask the nature of my disability? Please any help from anyone will be appreciated. My fiance interview is in two weeks. I will be in China to be with her at that time. Please help with any knowledge or comments on my situation.
