  1. Thanks Everyone. Yes Jeff, the " Intent to Marry Letter". I did mention my meeting Chun and the length of time I was there. I didn't point out that I only had visited 1 time. We were prepared with an answer if the VO had asked. But, it must not have raised any red flags. Best of Luck.
  2. Greetings All, I'd like to thank everyone who posts so much useful information on this forum to assist in this difficult process. I can only imagine how difficult it would be trying to go thru this before the advent of the internet. Chun arrived at the Yang's 2 days before the interview. Mr and Mrs Yang were very helpful and very kind. Thank You Yangs! The VO was a 30-35 yr. old American man. The interview lasted all but 3 minutes. 5 questions: 1. Can you speak English? She can. I'd say 70% comprehension listening/ speaking. 2. What work does your fiancee do? 3.Where does he live? 4.Does he have a child?? not that we know of?? 5. Have any pictures? ( we only have photos of Chun and I) none with her family. This was 1 of my concerns. Also, I was only able to visit China 1 time since knowing Chun, due to work. This was the other worry. But worry not. Keep the faith if you're working toward your interview. Somehow I knew we'd get the pink. By the way, I had 3 yrs. of tax transcripts. Chun said the Yangs and others mentioned how financials are scrutunized. Thanks Again for everyones help Happy in Saint Louis.
  3. Yep, I hear ya uncle cuzin' bubba. I sometimes laugh at my self and think if ol' Buttweet here and Brer Rabbit had waited a while the outcome might have been different...then again...who in the hell would trade off the exhilerating experience of waiting 10 months for a blue slip to turn white??? And Lord God, stop the dang train...I gets to live in Chinertucky and write about the happy wacky tales of "Buttweet Does Chinertucky" A tale of lust in the dust, blowing my nose in public, having a taxi driver stop in his lane of traffic so I can piss on the side of the road....even pissin' on the side of an occasional building. Singing Kari-jokie like I'm Fig Newton on stage in Vegas when I can't even carry a note in a 55 gallon drum. Spinning a willing lil' rabbit on a terlet seat hung from the ceiling. Walking down the street and getting stared at like I'm some sorta honkey tonk Darth Vader...all while living in the land of the tiny hiney and eating the best food in the dadgum world. Not to mention the exercise program I get from trying to outrun the lil' rabbit's mop cause I got caught lookin' at butts again. Gold's Gym...go to hell. Wha'cha think??? tsap seui Lemonaide anyone? At least you still have your sense of humor. Funny Stuff.
  4. Thanks to all the good wishes and... Yes, I went to ACH and also did the ACS. Also, I will post our interview session as soon as I translate it, although the questions were quite usual and lasted 5 minutes, ( it was conducted mostly in English , but my Fiancee only posted a transcript in Hanzi ). On the ACH and ACS aspects, One thing is the ACS. I got notarized the document "Evolution of Relationship Letter". This ended up being a big hit with the VO. Of course it wasn't actually read as part of the interview, but, It was clear I put time and effort into it, and it was less than 10 pages, so within reason. I actually made special stationary which was composed of craft-work with color copiers I did by copying and enlarging slightly all the entry-exit stamps in my passport at port of entries in China and also lifting the light blue background of the passport paper itself such that all 5 stamp pairs formed a sort of center background image on my custom "passport" stationary. My frustration and paranoia over WHICH paperwork and documentation would even be viewed and weighed for consideration in the final stages led me to do that in order to highlight how many times I had visited her. The first page was a page of contents: 1...5, of lists of my visits making it tough to miss that point :-) . On a related note, ironically enough, both the p4 letter referred to what I would think to be a supreme document - the I-134 as "optional" !!! and it apparently got little attention, even though I had some really nice supporting documentation which I put a lot of time into. I don't actually believe I-134 is optional, but that was the wording. Therefore, I think it was better that I got my letter notarized, vs the the copy of the I-134 - of course the original I-134 must be notarized, and I did that in the states before hand. At ACH, I was late, arriving at 2:40 PM, somehow I thought it started at 2:30.. I donno... Guangzhou as an experience was a bit of a magical mystery tour all around - but a good one nonetheless. Anyway, the guards and so forth let me in, and being called up, I asked the following: How long will the visa be good for? A really obvious thing I suppose, so the officer questioned me after telling me 6 months, and I explained I had heard that it could have an issue date that is dated from one of the dates prior to the interview, such as p4 or p3 date. He asked where I had heard that with some interest/concern and I couldn't remember. Anyway he said that only may happen on some unusual circumstance post-interview issue or something...I didn't really understand, and I left, mission accomplished. "of course the original I-134 must be notarized, and I did that in the states before hand." I keep reading statements that the I-134 needs to be notarized. The NEW I-134 does not need to be notarized.
  5. to Dylan and all, Please please and please, bring 3 years of tax return to GUZ for the interview, my SO recently got blue slip'ed since i only provided I-134 and 2007 tax return. So now, i got to request 2005 and 2006 and it will take to arrive and more time for my SO to mail them back to GUZ and even longer time for GUZ to schedule a second interview. Does anybody on this board know how long it usually takes for GUZ to schedule? I am sorry Dylan to hijack your thread. You didn't hijack this thread by any means. I appreciate any input. I ordered 3 years of tax transcripts when I called because I actually found that though the I-134 does not state it needs 3 years, the I-864 for AOS does state this, so it is needed no matter what. Kinda complex, why can't it just state everything clear across the paperwork to help people out? Anyways, at least you got a blue for a simple reason, you can right side this problem easy as pie! My tax transcripts were delivered very promptly recently. B) For the sake of being sure. Tax transcripts don't need to be notarized? Nor, does the new version of the I-134? Thanks
  6. Chun received Packet 3 today from GZ--1 week mail time. Everything seems to be coming together so far
  7. I called DOS today. They informed me that packet 3 was mailed to Chun on February 13th. So , now I get to worry about it being lost in the mail ...hehe. Thanks for the replies.
  8. Anyone else waiting with a similar timeline? I'm starting to get a little anxious.
  9. Greetings, Thanks to all the people who regularly post with valuable information on this forum, it's greatly appreciated. My question is: Should I send the information my fiancee will need from me for packet 3, in order to expedite things once she actually receives the packet? Is this what most of you guys did? Documents for I-134 and everything that was required for I-129? Thanks
