  1. Copy of US Citizen's birth cert is needed to be attached to I-130 only to prove US Citizenship, not needed if a full copy of passport is attached. Definitly...of course. Sorry, I was referring to a Birth Cert not being required during the interview.
  2. She shouldn't need my birth certificate at the interview but I'm going with the 'kitchen sink' theory. I think it's better to be safe than sorry. She most likely will not need 90% of what I sent her but from reading past CFL posts I decided to make sure she had the original of everything needed during this entire process and more.
  3. Don't hold your breath on that one. Your best bet is to just wake up super early and go some place to have the photos printed. Is this a Chinese custom to have the wedding banquet so long after the wedding or is it just a "2nd" one so that her relatives can attend?
  4. It's been very quiet lately from our August group. My blood presure has been so high lately. I'm so nervous. Everyday we a little closer and a lot more nervous. I rechecked my paperwork like a million times, going over every word to make sure the spelling was correct, the signatures were signed in the right places, that everything had a notary and dates. I just Fed Ex'd to Beijing my package to my wife, it will arrive there about 4 days before she does. My package includes: 1) Original, Signed & Notarized I-864 Affidavit of Support 2) 2008 tax returns with form 2555 (foreign earned Income) no W2 3) Official 2006 IRS tax transcripts (ordered directly from IRS) 4) Official 2007 IRS tax transcripts (ordered directly from IRS) 5) pay stubs 6) Letter of Employment Verification from current employer 7) Air tickets & boarding pass for 1 trip to Russia & 4 trips to China 8) Letters, cards, birthday cards and anniversary cards 10) Copy of Passport with Chinese visa and Entry/Exit stamps & Russia Entry & Exit Stamps 11) My birth certificate (certified original) 12) My first marriage certificate (certified original) 13) The divorce Decree from my first marriage (certified original) 14) Letter from me describing the soundness of my employment (typed, signed & notarized) 15) Evolution of Relationship letter (typed, signed & notarized) 16) 3 blank sheets of paper with my signature on the bottom. Of course this doesn't include the items that my wife must gather together before the interview.
  5. Looks good! I would suggest making key dates and places BOLD to draw the eyes of the VO to important dates because most likely she/he is only skimming the EOR letter. This way you can make sure he doesn't miss any important dates in your time line.
  6. Cool! Thanks again dnoblett. I will put 'NONE' in 24b and leave 24e blank.
  7. On 24.b. Income you are using from any other person who was counted in your household size, including, in certain conditions, the intending immigrant. (See step-by-stepinstructions.) Please indicate name, relationship and income. ..................They list NONE But on.... 24.e. The person listed above, Jane Joan Smith complete Form I-864A because he/she is the intending immigrant and has no accompanying dependents. They have JANE JOAN SMITH listed in 24E but NONE in 24B, I would assume 24E is referring to 24B. Am I wrong in my assumption? Iwould of assumed 24E should be left blank if 24B is NONE. ironically the INSTRUCTIONS failed to cover 24E
  8. I remember seeing someone post a link to an example of a completed I-864, but I haven't been able to locate it. Does anyone have that link? I have most of the form filled out but it's those sections where I'm not sure if I should type in 'NONE', 'N/A' or just leave blank that has me stuck right now.
  9. If you don't mind, I would like us to compare what we will take to the interview. I have posted ours below, please feel free to post yours as well. 10. My wife will be arriving back into Beijing on August 10th to close out our apartment before heading to GUZ. She will have her examination in Beijing. Are there any preferences to a particular hospital (i.e quickness, accuracy with paperwork, guaranteed completition of paperwork on scheduled pick-up date)? Would there be anything you would suggest we pay extra close attention too? 11. Congrats guys on your PINK!!!!!! It's now time to begin a new chapter in your lives 'together', so please don't let any negativity here be apart of your new beginning. You were well prepared and any 'LUCK' being a factor can be debated until the end of time, the point is you made it Happy life long future together.
  12. Great Link!!!! I just sent it to my wife. It's always nice to have some idea of the layout before going there instead of walking into the 'great unknown abyss' called the GUZ.
  13. Congrats!!!!!! You guys are laying a great foundation for us August interviews.
  14. ENVIOUS ENVIOUS ENVIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats you two!
  15. Bill & Li Hong that is an awesome avatar you chose to use after you received PINK. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. This is good to know, I will tell my wife about it and not to worry if she has the same type of cut in hers. I'm sure it will save her tons of worry and high blood pressure.
  17. Really? I had the meatball sub while I was there and the meatballs were the size of marbles with the sause almost non-existant, but I guess anything was better than another day of oily fried rice.....LOL, just kidding, I enjoyed many dishes there. CONGRATS areynolds!!!!!!!!!!! You finally have the love of your life with you to stay.
  18. I highly doubt if the stories are true. Given the ease for foreign guys (even the butt ugly ones) to get girls in China, I can't forsee (unless it was a Chinese guy) why a foreign guy would need to resort to these tactics. Most foreign guys have the problem of fighting off local females in China.
  19. Everyone seems to have some valid points. I understand Randy's point and I see where he's going with it. If the author of the letter is failing to convey their story in one page in a clear concise way, then their story would be even more lost in a long drawn out letter. My relationship with my wife has spanned 6 years, combined with MSN, text messages, phones calls, 20 gigs of pictures, emails, plane trips to Russia, Jilin, China and Beijing China. Including time in Richmond Virginia, Sacramento California, New York and New Jersey. Despite all of that, I feel that I was able to convey our relationship timeline in a one page typed letter that was very direct in covering the necessary information that would be relevant to the VO to show the evolution of our relationship. Of course this what I feel confident with and you ultimately must choose whatever format will convey the evolution of your relationship.
  20. My fiancee' is afraid to fly so we are looking for a cruise ship or cargo ship from China to America. Does anyone have any new news about this option? Currently we are checking out this one: http://www.travltips.com/freighterdirectory.html
  21. Excellent question!!!! Hopefully someone on the forum who has been through the process can answer your question because I would like to know the answer to this one.
  22. My wife already has most of the paperwork and she's had everything notarized, stamped with govenment seals and apostles. I'm putting together the package I need to overnight to her and it will consist of the following: 1) IRS tax transcripts for 2006 & 2007 2) 2008 tax returns (with form 2555 Foreign Earned Income / no W2) 3) Letter from my employer stating my hire date, position, that I'm full time and my salary on company letter head. 4) EOR letter (typed, not handwritten) 5) letter from me describing how secure my employment is. 6) Certified copy of my birth certificate 7) I-864 AOS completed and signed 8) 2 blank I-864's signed (for just in case) 9) 2 blank sheets of paper with my original signature on the bottom (just in case) 10) Pay check stub (original) Does any of this needs to be notarized? Thanks everyone in advance.
  23. I'm American and my wife is Russian. We lived in China, Married in China and will do our visa in China. My Avatar is a picture of her at our wedding....isn't she beautiful? Originally we were given bad information, we were told that foreigners could not marry in China unless one of them was a Chinese citizen. We couldn't imagine being apart for 12 to 24 months while applying for a fiancee visa, so we decided to live in China together from 2004 to 2009....the destination of international lovers. B) In March 2009 we found out that was not true so planned a beautiful wedding and was married in Beijing. I left Beijing June 1, 2009, so we've been apart since then. But we will be back together in August......4ever.
  24. Fantastic and Congrats!!!!! Thank you for sharing your story, I know it will help many of us out when we finally arrive there.
  25. Congrats!!!!! Now you can finally push that perverbial 'GO' button and begin your lives uninterrupted together forever.
