  1. In the same boat as you Louis, mine was sent Electronically on Oct 8th. Called DOS this morning (10/27/09) and still no P3 mailed out yet to my fiance.

What I dont understand is when I look at the K1 timelines some of them have less then a week between NVC out and P3 received.

Ours was also sent Electronically and DHL. We received the P3 and mailed it back a month ago........according to DOS, GUZ has not received it........ or have they????? DOS can not seem to decide about that

  2. called DOS today. First the lady said that they HAD received the P3, then she they HAD NOT received it, Then I told her that EMS tracking number said that it was delievered. Then the lady said that GUZ HAD received the P3. I am not sure who is more confused  . I assume that if she is telling the truth then we should be getting the P4 and an interview date soon

  4. My wife said she has tried for three days to use Yahoo to send me some IM's but couldn't get through, she finally had to use MSN to reach me.

That is good to know...I am going to have my fiancee install when she wakes up today. from what I have read....Yahoo pissed of the Chinese government and they shut it down....and for some reason skype.

  5. Is anyone else having trouble with Yahoo in China? It has not been working properly for about 2 days for us. No cam and no voice working. My Yahoo works fine when I talk to anyone here in the States. I have tried 2 computers and my fiancee has tried 2 different computers and it seems to be only in China. A friend in California is having same problem talking to his girl.....they are both in Hunan province.

  6. I was not very smart since the beginning of the process and did not choose electronic process. Now my case is completed and NVC just told me that the packages was shipped out yesterday, so how can I determine the tracking number? Thanks

Wait about 2 weeks and call DOS. NVC told me the same thing on my K-1 back in September...they sent the file electronically and the hard copy DHL....supposedly. They told that it would take some time. I called DOS 2 weeks later and found that yes, NVC did send my file to GUZ on Sept 2nd....and.......P3 was sent to my fiancee on Sept 4. So even thought they SAID they sent it DHL....it may be there in a few days.

  7. I guess my relationship must be the exception to the rule. Good luck to anyone who is expected to fork over their cash to their wife/girlfriends family.

I married a girl from Hunan. I was never once asked, nor was it suggested I give cash to anyone. I did buy a few gifts for her parents but they were very simple and were really no more then what they gave to me and sent for my family in the states.

I would also like to add that my wife NEVER asks me for money and I have a hard time getting her to accept any.

I think the old phrase "Buyer Beware" is appropriate in the situation described in the original post. Too bad there is no warranty or guarantee that comes along with the purchase, it would probably be needed.

My Fiancee is also from Hunan. When I was there and we got engaged she said I need to give her father a RED BAG as a gift. I asked her how mucha and she said maybe 100 dollars. I had no problem with that. She has never asked for money for anything else.

  8. Ok....I am sure this has been answered but I am unable to find blink.gif

    Instructions say:

Two copies of DS-156 form with original signatures (with Chinese name and telegraphic code).

Two copies of DS-157 form (Only applicants aged 16 or older need to submit this form).

Does this mean 2 copies in English and 2 in Chinese...or 1 copy in each language?

  9. I see no improvement here. They are still denying cases on the bogus "not bonafide relationship" catch all. they are still too quick to send a case back to the USCIS instead of giving the petitioner a chance to solve the problem in GZ.A 50% denial rate doesn't mean a 50% fraud rate.

    Amen

  10. I am gathering my papers to send my SO for the interview. THis is what I have so far:

    Letter from employer

    paycheck stubs

    letter from bank

    I-134

    more chats and emails

    Notorized letters explaining my divorces

She already has my last 3 years tax transcripts

She already has over 100 pictures of us togeter plus other evidence

    She already has detailed EOR

Do I need to send copies of Divorce degree's.......they were send with I-129f?

    Robert

  11. On the I-129F, did you list your first wife on part A-9? Since, you probably did, I would think a letter explaining your relationship with her would be useful in keeping any potential problems from arising.

Yes, I listed both on I-129f and G-325a. I have just read that they really grill you on questions when you have married a woman from another country before, and my first wife (the USC) was 10 years ago that we got divorced......I think maybe they would not be so interested in that.

  12. Ok, I really did not get an answer to this question before so I will ask it in a seporate topic.

I wrote out a very good EOR for my SO to take to interview with her. It touches on my ex from Russia but not much detail. I have seen that latley they have been asking for Notorized letters explaining why you got divorced. My last wife was from Russia and I brought her over here on a K-1 visa. I just wrote a very detialed letter covering how we met, when she got here, when we were married, what happened to the marriage and why we got devorced, with dates and everything. I also included her full name, A#, SSN#, present address and persent occupation. I will have it notorized tomorrow at work. I realize that having done this before might present a big red flag in GUZ. There is about 1 year between our divorce and when I met my Fiancee from China.

    My question is...........

I was married in 1994 to an American woman and divorced in 1999. Do I also need to write a letter about that one as well? I figure that since she is an american ex that maybe they will not look at that as hard as they will the one from Russia.

    Robert

  13. The forms are from the K3 packet for processing a K3 visa.

On the DS-156 form how to answer question 26?How long do you intend to stay in the US? Should the wife write down forever? I know this form was made for people traveling, business or going to school in the US. What is the most common answer in our case.

On question 22. When do you intend to arrive in the US? Well, we have no idea since we don't know if the Visa will be approved or not and they strongly advise against buying plane tickets until the visa has been approved.

Two more question that is on DS-156 and DS-230. "Do you intend to work in the US? I think we should write down No, since it asks for a employer and address, not sure though. In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States"? Is it best to write down some professional field? I'm not sure how the wife should answer this since it's kind of hard to predict what will happen. We will be filing the AOS when she arrives in the US, so it will be sometime before she even thinks about working if she choses to do so.

I thik you can write N/a or unknown for when you plan on coming to the US. As for work, you can write yes and then unknown for employer.
