I did not let her know I was very upset about it. I just hope things run smoother from here on

I chatted with my SO Thursday morning her time. She was at work and promised to email me when she left for the train at 9pm her time. I did not get email last night so I figured I would have one this morning when I woke up . No email. I called her on her cell phone........here is the conversation:
me:....hello.....Na?
No this is Yingying......(her 8 year old duaghter)
me: Where is your mother?
Ying......How are you .
Needless to say I did not speak with her mother. My SO told me that her daughter was NOT going with her. Finally about 30 mintues later my SO signed on to Yahoo. I found that when she bought the ticket for the train that she bought the WRONG DATE. She was supposed to get ticket for Thursday and instead got it for Friday. She was at an internet cafe near the train wating to board. I asked her about the medical as she has interview Monday morning . She said that she called them and was told she had plenty of time to get it Saturday morning and still get results before interview...............I hope so . I asked her why she did not tell me about the train sooner, she said that she did not want to upset me . I told her I was worried and that now I am even more worried that she might not be ready for interview.
I hope this is or only glitch in the process.....................

Well I am in shock, and all my nerves just hit a crescendo. I called DOS today, well everyday I call them, but today they said.
"Yes your interview is scheduled, they sent out the P4 today"
And of all days, our interview is DECEMBER 24th, Christmas Eve.
I am at loss for words, I was thinking surely in January, now to put plans into overdrive. Christmas in Guangzhou, and I am hoping for a very PINK Christmas.
That is great...what a day for an interview

I am surprised RobertH has not posted here yet

Im in a bind my friends. My SO's interview day is on the 22nd of DEC, but the plane tickets for me to get to GUZ are extremely high during the holidays? Im trying to figure out if i should ask the consulate to push back the interview or just take a big hit on my bank account? If i can reschedule does it normally take a extremely long time to get another interview date?
From what I have heard I believe that rescheduling will cost you about 1 to 2 months. I know what you mean about ticket prices, I have been checking as well. They go up on the 21 of Dec and do not go back down until Jan 14. I have been looking on flychina.com they seem to have the best prices around.

Getting close Robert....getting real close. I would do what someone else said. Fill out your taxes and make a copy and send her. It will be the same as what you file in the mail. I do not believe that you will be able to get transcripts before her interview

Congrates!!! . I am hoping to be in the same boat next Monday

1 week to go . I am going to be bouncing off the walls this week

Congrats

Congrats and all the best to both of you

Just like everyone who got a white result, I now know their pain and anger. My fiancee got the blue during the interview for a K1 visa and we submitted everything on the list. I went back to China 3 times, have thousands of pictures from many places in China, have our engagement party and wedding gown pictures taken. I have a cosponsor and gave all the financial records. Plus I am in the military right now. I am baffled and angry and wonder why, why. I have moved from the shock and now plan on going back to China and get married with my fiancee and file a CR-1. It's going to be a long wait and take a lot of effort and money. Will I get an explanation of why the VO did not approve our visa? Did the same VO who interviewed my fiancee the same VO who reviewed the stuff we sent into the U.S embassy for review? That VO was a black lady and people have warned us that she is the toughest to get a visa. Unfortunately that's who my fiancee got during the interview. If anyone can help, I have several questions in going about CR-1 instead of K3. Is it easier to get CR-1 to approve than a K3 visa? What about the documents we submitted for K1 visa, will the Custom and Immigration Service send it back to the U.S embassy in China to add to the evidence for the CR-1? What do I need to do here in the U.S before I go back to get marry and file for a CR-1? I heard I need to have my passport and a single certificate notarized in a Chinese embassy in the U.S before I can go to China to get marry, is that true? Does anyone of you know anyone who got denied of a CR-1 visa? How long is the wait for a CR-1? Can someone who got a CR-1 visa approved give me some advice on what they did that made they successful. Thank you
I want to give an update on our visa journey. My wife interviewed this past week for a CR-1 and was approved. She has the visa in hand and plan on arriving here in December. I want to give thanks to all those who help us along the way. I especially want to thank: splinterman (thanks for sharing your visa experience with me, best of luck with your wife's interview), joejoefta (thanks for helping me with the electronic processing), chilton747 (thanks for your advice and support), N + W (thanks for being the first to offer support to me), mei3935 (haven't seem you post on your wife's interview result, hope she got the visa that you guys deserved), SmilingAsia (good luck on your own visa journey), heyjimi (thanks for your advice), dnoblett (thanks for your continual commitment in helping those like me who needed the help) , and Marc Ellis (thanks for your guidance in our visa) . Without you guys and this wonderful website, we would not have gotten this far. As a lot of you have experienced the injustice denial of your love one's visa, it's a mixed feelings of horror, anger, and despair. I was afraid of our K-1 denial might mean I will never be able to get my wife here, especially the how insensitive the GUZ embassy treated us the first time as all of you who have gotten denial experience knows. I was very fortunate overcame some of the possible causes of our denial and able to get approved for the visa in 6 1/2 months with the electronic process. There's is no template from the USCIS on the visa journey, but this great website has guided me along the way. I want to congratulated all of those who have gotten your love ones the visa, and offer support for those who are having difficulties in visa journey. Thanks

Eddie
so happy your (visa) journey (horror) is over.
Good luck and also thank you for your service to our country.
God Bless and God Speed.
Now we root for splinterman. He's up next.
Congratulations, Eddie. We've shared a lot of info and experiences in our emails and there is nobody I've wanted to see be successful this time around than you and your lady. It was your turn and I'm happy for you.
And thanks to you too, N+W, for your kindness AND your support. The next 2 weeks will be the longest of my life, LOL. Hopefully, it will be OUR turn this time.
And to everyone who is interviewing soon and in December I wish you all the best of luck!
Let's bring 'em home for Christmas!!
Splinterman
Splinterman, it appears we have the same interview date. I also can not attend. I wish your SO good luck.
I'll be keeping you guys in my prayers. Wouldn't it be great for them to show a little more 'Holiday Spirit' and hand out the pinks like candy?
Looks like you and I will both be sweating bullets on Sunday night, won't we? LOL!
Yes we will

This caught my attention:
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Friday reiterated the Obama administration's commitment to seeking a legalization program in 2010 for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., which would increase USCIS' workload exponentially.
If they raise the fee's on people like us.....It will make it hard to justify spending that much more money just so someone in GUZ can screw you with NO recourse With a fee hike should also come some sort of refund or atleast force consulates around the world to grant the visa based on the current laws and regulations....not just there personal oppion. this scares me......if my SO doesn ot get pink...I will have to file for I-130 and that will be just that much more money I will have to spend with no promise of a visa for my SO.

Good luck......Save some Pink for me in Decmeber

We are Americans we do not bow to anyone! Good foreign policy comes from strength. Not from a courtsey. What makes me so upset since the Cold War has ended is that we Americans have let our Great Nation nation slip into mediocritcy.
Imo, this is the type of better than thou attitude that has helped lead us into mediocrity. I think we have entered into a new era that calls for understanding, respect, and dialogue more so than force and strength. Yes, we should carry a big stick and be prepared to use it but there is also such a tool as diplomacy which I feel we have collectively gotten away from over the years.
Kudos to Obama for having the courage to do this, knowing that he would face a lot of criticism for such an action.
Mankind is a predator. A predator only respects stregnth.
Thats old school Tony. I would like to think us younger generations are a little more enlightened.

Is that "enlightened"....or does the Yonger generation just not care about the greatness of American..........Perhaps they preferr Socialism......Seems to me that the YOUNGER generation wants everything given to them...instead of earning it. Before you blast me....I have earned the right to say this as have many others on this forum. I have served this great nation and do not like the direction it is heading. Yes I wish the world could get along...that would be GREAT! But the PC nicer US policy is making us look very weak and easy pray to our enemies...and there are many.
Sorry to get off topic.........did not read end of thread first

If you're not wanting to go to ACH, then I'd go on Thurs or Fri. You can pay and expiediated processing fee of 100 RMB to have everything processed in one day, assuming of course that you go in the morning and not the afternoon. That's what we're doing.
Monday - Medical and ACH
Tuesday - Notarize some stuff
Wednesday - Interview

They confirmed the 100 RMB fast processing. No appointment needed.
Hello Kyle,
Thank you for your post!
I have some questions: Is the Health Center above authorized by US GuangZhou Consulate for Medical Exam and Immunization? You mentioned "Notarize some stuff", what stuff you are talking about?
DO you think it is enough time for 2 days to go to Health Center for Medical Exam and Immunization, and the third day for interview?
Thank you and good luck!
My so is going to GUZ on Thursday night December 3 and arrive early Friday morning by trian....have the medical and pay for interview. Interview scheduled on Monday the 7th.

Ok I have tried to keep records for the Interview of Hui and I talking.
Now we dont use the phone 100% of our talkign and chatting is done threw MSN, Emails and texts.
I have the MSN logs I can print out. I have the Emails I can print out. the texts I dont know how to do or is it would be worth it to try to print them.
The Phone.... All I have is a page of about 15-20 calls from July threw now. I can print this put fromt he website.
Should I write a letter to the VO stating we use MSN for all of our talking and will they accept that?
Any advise?
Robert
Robert, I included the fact that we chatted on Yahoo in our EOR. I already told you about how I sent the chats. If you send stuff by USPS it only takes about 7 days to get there and it is not very expensive. For the EOR i scaned IN COLOR our reciepts and stuff and included them in the EOR as well.

Hoping that my SO gets Pink on December 7th........She is not going to bring her daughter over when she comes. She wants to wait until maybe June. My understanding is that all we will need to do is Contact GUZ and have them start the K2 paperwork????? Is that correct? Also.....Will this be a situation where she will need pictures of her and her daughter since birth and a DNA test (once the paper work is started)? Her daughter is 9 years old and looks just like her ...acts like her too
Robert
Yes - but YOU start the paperwork.
Submit the applicable P3 documents, along with your request to activate the K-2.
Remember that she must get the K-2 within one year of the date the mother's K-1 was awarded.
Start reading here (and follow the "steps" link
Thanks Randy

290? She's not staying at the Yang's then. Our booked room is for 220 a night, and it's right beside the consulate. Maybe she should check them out and save some cash (about 25%). Not to mention all of the free services they'll provide to help her get ready for her interview.
