  1. 1 DS-230 only, Daughter's will be done later when she comes.

Bank letter is only need if your income falls below 125% povertyline and you are using the deposit on account as an asset.

The directions included with I-134 are very old, USCIS has no reason to update them since USCIS has no application for that form.

The consulates tend to treat the I-134 like a mini-I-864 as so prefer the same financial evidence as the I-864.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

    • I-134 signed and notarized.

    • SIMPLE Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS <a href="http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc156.html?portlet=1" target="_blank">http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc156.html?portlet=1</a>

    • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years (Not necessary if you provide the transcripts)

    • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.

    • Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

My income was well above the povertyline so I did not include any asset data (LIKE BANK STATEMENTS or property values).

If your income exceeds 125% of the povertyline when counting yourself, prospective immigrant and any dependents, then don't bother with assets (401K, Bank balance, Stocks etc..), it is just extra un-needed data to provide, the consular officer is most concerned with INCOME.

Thanks Dan, I told her this about the bank letter.........but she says she wants to have it. SO I will get it, I think all I should need is a statment saying how long the account has been open and the current balance on bank letter head. Do they need to put the acount# on as well? You know how it is....when the wife...or soon to be wife....asks for something, you better get it

  2. Look up "Evolution of Relationship" EOR

A good one from searching forum for "Evolution" http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...c=33291&hl=

Yes both prior marriages need to have some explanation ast to how started and ended.

Dan, she has a very good EOR that I have sent and will update soon. I have heard that on top of EOR that VO will ask for a Notorized letter explaining Divorce from previous K-1 beneficiary. including ssn and present address etc. This is the info I am looking for. I also did address this divorce in my EOR. as well.

  3. I have a question, I know I need to write a letter explaining my divorce from the woman I married from Russia. She came on a K1 visa. What exactly do I need to include in this letter. Also, I was divorced from and American woman in 1999. Do I also need a letter about that marrage?

I included information about my previous marrage and divorce from the woman from Russia on my I-129f petition, this letter I am writing now is for my SO to have at the interview.

  4. Her father got P3 in the mail last week. He called her but she did not answer the phone :P . She will get today and then send back. What exactly does she need to fill out? I know the check sheet and I think the DS-230 Part 1. Does she need to file one of these for her 9 year old daughter as well?

  5. I have been thinking of the events of today........I know that the pettiton was sent on Sept 2 to GUZ. I was told this by NVC, they said it was electronically sent. I called DOS on sept 6 and they said that it could take a couple of weeks for GUZ to receive the file. Then today I called and DOS said that the P3 packet along with instructions was sent out on the 5th of sept. So it was sent 1 day before I called DOS on sept 6th. I said to the lady on the phone today....."So the P3 packet was sent to my fiancee on the 5th of September?" she said yes. So I am assuming that the info I have would be correct and they are not making a mistake?

I would email the consulate and ask if the packet was sent, I did this and they responded a day or so after I asked. I they confirm P3 was sent, then send them the downloaded forms.

I can get this email address on the Consulate website??

  6. Thanks Dan, My concern is also that...if she does not get the P3 in the mail......should I be concerned about the P4 getting to her. Would it be wise to email the Consulate and verify her address? I looked at my copies of the petition and the addresss is correct

Yes email consulate to confirm address is correct so that P-4 goes to the correct place, this address should be on DS-230 part 1 also.

  7. If they said it was sent, you can simply have her download and fill out the required documents (OF-169, and DS-230 part 1) and mail them back before she receives P3.

    And mail them to:

  8. Growing up most of my life in Atlanta, I can tell you that Racism is still alive and well here.........unfortunantly. I think the one thing that I have noticed over the years is that racism here in the south is practiced by BOTH sides....black and white. You are just as likely to find a racist white man as black man.........and both sides will claim racism if the oportunity presents itself. I will say that this is NOT EVERYONE in the south...but it is often seen

  9. Hi Everybody,

I know you all are going to laugh - so go ahead and do it.

My wife and I are going to China this Fall. I offered her the idea of going "east" and flying into Paris and change planes there, then go onto Guangzhou. The original thought in my head was that the tickets were a little cheaper than going "west" the other way.

But now my wife has figured out what Paris is...... It is home to many designer brands such as LV, Channel, etc. Now she wants to go that way purposely for the shopping!!!

The tickets we are looking at give us 7 1/2 hours in Paris (7.5 hour layover). Here are my questions:

    1) I think (read) that no visa is needed/required just to sight see one day in Paris. Does anybody think/know different? Although wife is Chinese - at the time we travel - she will have a US green card.

    2) Has anybody had a flight through Paris before - and do you know if any of these designer brands are available for sale IN THE AIRPORT?

    3) How far is the shopping district from the airport? I am asking about the shopping district that would have designer stores such as LV or Channel?

Any help or advice would be HUGELY APPRECIATED as these are things I need to know BEFORE we decide to take this route!!! If we do not go for the shopping and sight-seeing - then the reduced ticket price is hardly worth the extra hours (longer flights and longer layovers) going this way vs. taking Delta to LA and then on to Guangzhou which cost only $250 more and is MUCH FASTER and HAS MUCH BETTER CONNECTIONS.

I definately need to find out about the visa situation - but really want to hear any feedback from anybody who has taken this flight before.

    Thanks,

    Scott

Tell her the shopping district is closed for the day when you get there

  10. I was married for 17 years and I have 2 children with my Ex-wife. I was wondering what people experiances were in their Chinese wives dealing with the step children and the Ex-wife.

I was asking my Fiancee about this and she seems to have no problem with the kids, however she gets a little jealous if i mention I took my daughter to my Ex's house and maybe helped the ex with some repair on the house or I talked to her for to long of a time. I try to keep a good relationship with my Ex for the kids happyness but I may need to make some changes.

I have zero desire to get back withmy ex at all and I have made she Hui knows this.

I was thinking about what happens if my Ex brings my Daughter over to pick somethingup and comes in the house once Hui is here or something liek that? WIll I be ducking mop handles? My Ex has already said she will just wait in the car when she needs to brinf our daughter over.

    Any thoughts?

    Robert

Hui was explaining to me that in China when a man and a woman get a divorce they rarely ever see eachother again.

My daughters mother and I get along...ok. I can not stand my ex from Russia. My SO can not wait to meet my daughter and has asked to meet my daughters mother..........I will instruct her NOT to ask that question about divorce  . She has asked some questions about my ex from Russia....but i can tell she hates anything that has to do with her....very jealous.

  11. If your Visa Case number (from the NVC) starts with GUZ, then the consulate will wait for the hardcopy. regrdless of the electronic receipt.

Correct, I suspect it would start with GZO if it used Electronic processing.

I was just wondering because I have noticed on the TIMELINE that some are sent from NVC and within a few weeks they have the P3 packet. I have a friend in Caifornia who's SO had here interview within 1.5 month's after left NVC. Just hoping but I know it might be December or Jan.

  12. you are an 'all electronic'? You do not have the GUZ case file number?

I think you may see interview before December.

Could be wrong this is a 'new this year process'. I wonder if you have to bring hard copies of anything to the interview.

I hope you keep detailed updates here.

    best wishes for you.

    Mike

I received the letter from DOS today with GUZ number so I guess this is what is called p2.5. Anyway, now I can start calling maybe in a week or 2 to see what happens next
