  1. Yan's EAD card came today. It was good from September 13 2007 for 1 year. It was mailed on September 20th .Same day as our interview.
  2. http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules...lt-schedule.htm One series of shots is all that will be needed now . If you notice above Tetanus will take about 6 months for all 3 shots. . Just get 1st round. For chicken pox we had a blood test done as it was cheaper than shot. . Doctor said almost all people have had exsposure. I-94 has nothing to do with when you get shots. If you are a little late sending AOS it is not a big deal. I went to health department , $47.00 for MMR & TD. As yan was not married yet and was not on my health plan at work. Later we had blood test done by family doctor and Blue Cross paid for everything there. Family doctor can do everything for you if you desire. civil surgeon locator.... https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=CIV
  3. From reading your former post's on this board she seems like a well rounded person . Send her a little money if you can afford it and roll with the punch. She may suprise you and have it all on her when she arrives here in the US to marry you
  4. I dated 2 chinese women , Both would not accept any money ever. This said they both made better than average chinese. I think the big kicker is how far along you are in this relationship. Once you get past sending in the 129-f you are almost married Many exspenses will roll her way. Flight to GUZ,hotels ect. Paperwork needed for p-3. She may be doing alright now but this is an added exspense. One big thing is how the relationship went while in china. Was she thrifty. Worried about you spending money on her. Did you take the bus in her city or most of the time a taxi?. Yan just said 100/month would meet her living exspense apart from her apartment if not in a large city. Yan said $100.00 is not big money in china. (yan's opinion now )If she made decent money in china $100.00 is not a big deal..If she struggled all her life then it is a big thing for her.....money will always be a concern.....even after you are married....
  5. From reading other articles in the past a country brought in woman from other nations or a war took care of the ratio. Just look at russia at the end of WW 2 with their ratio of men to woman. Only 5-10 % of 17 -19 year old males were alive.
  6. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86162 This was just posted on visa journey.
  7. She wants her green card so she so can......... WORK.........Also buying stock on the Hong Kong stock market .
  8. Once things are on the books no one desires to fix at a later date, A throw back from the cold war. If you were down in Washington and tried to do away with the party issue .Press would have a field day. Look how long we had a telephone tax to pay for the spanish american war. 100 years
  9. Damn, I sure hope they don't want that info from me. I have no idea where that B**ch is or what her SS# may be. How does one find out that kind of inforrmation about an ex anyway? As I run a small business I looked up a 10 year old tax return I had filed away. Maybe some one else can offer other suggestions as topic was discussed before . As stated before it is sometimes hard to mail in things and get the file and letter together. WHY it cannot happen who knows. Maybe they would be swamped and big headache running the office. At GUZ you can mail in your tax information rather than SO bring with them so maybe include it that way SS# ect in a letter about ex. This could bring up question , Why are you not open with your SO about your past earning ability. So she should have copies also at interview. A question about what you make is often asked by VO.

  11. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83733 Big discussion on visa journey on this.
  12. The details of US immigration have always been a matter of controversy. The Chinese Exclusion Act is a case in point. There are a lot of people in the US today who want to either ban or sanction trade with China. Further, there is an undercurrent that wishes to greatly limit the number of visas granted to China; AGAIN! Just to amplify this post a little, not that it needs it, but if you read the "Chopstick" article check out the responses underneath it. Most, if not all, are accusing China of something akin to a clandestine war on the US. Pathetic really. And as much as I want/need to come home this mentality scares me. I agree. There seems to be a concerted anti-China effort gaining momentum lately. One recent news article was focusing on a family trying to live without buying anything imported from China. Yes, pathetic. China is now manufacturing thousands of quality products being exported to the US. Life as we know it today would not survive without them; and quite frankly I find it repugnant all the negative press China is receiving lately about lead paint etc. China is doing much more each and every day to improve itself in the global market and the focus should be on that, not on a bunch of old whiney Chinese haters who get their panties in a bunch when another country does something better than the US. Not to go too far off topic, but this needs to be said. Let me tell you a short story. We own six chain stores in Fuzhou. We do some export and recently we had the opportunity to conduct a transaction with a businessman from the US. I insist on the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price. We found the merchandise the businessman wanted, quality at a very reasonable price, but he decided that he could find it cheaper, and consequently the merchandise was also garbage IMO. But it didn't matter the $$$$ did. So when people go berserk about low quality merchandise coming from China, maybe they should consider the source, and the source ain't China. Many stories are written to sell newspapers.

  17. Thrifty.....Thrifty that is the word she uses....$2.50 for a pair of pants at walmart (on sale) ....walks out smiling ear to ear....Better price than I can get in China. She found a top for 2.00 this weekend . Got home and it is tooo sexy , Hardly can wear around the house let alone out(needs another cup size or two for her to wear without falling off). I just smiled.
  18. As we all remember Relheim's problem one of the main thing a VO is looking for ability to support a wife long term at the income level required. Saying my business has a lot of cash flow is like spitting in the wind ...it means nothing. What is on your personal income tax is what matters most. If you cannot hit that number get a co-sponser for now. Make things easy. Most small business can hide a lot of profit by plowing it into the business. That is fine for the IRS but this year work on making a profit even if you need to hold off on deductions. So next year when you really need the income for AOS time you will fly through Some reading on this subject..... http://www.nilc.org/immlawpolicy/aosupp/aosupp021.htm
