  1. Thanks Dnoblett! I've filed the electronic AR-11 online for both my wife and son....I assumed I don't have to mail-in the AR-11 form right? I'll send the I-865 asap. Thanks again for your help.
  2. Aloha to friends at CFL. It's been a while since Emily and I last visited this forum. I finally got a job last November after almost 1 year of unemployment and we recently moved to Hayward CA...so much stuff to unpack and organize. Anyways I filed 1-751 for my son Jay back in May and today we received a Request for Evidence notice from USCIS. The RFE letter is asking for "Joint Documents: Please provide a joint documents showing both the parents names". What exactly is "Joint Documents"? What do I have to submit? Your advise is greatly appreciated! Clement & Emily
  3. That was FAST! Perhaps you'll beat our timeline Congrats!!
  4. Today Emily received her brand spanking new 10-year green card. From the day I sent the I-751 petition till today with the green card in hand - 64 Days total. Next March I'll be petitioning for my son's I-751. Hopefully it'll go as uneventful and as fast as this one. Here's the cover letter I used for Emily's I-751 petition. Perhaps it'll help anyone preparing to file I-751.... -------------------------- United States Department of Homeland Security USCIS California Service Center P.O. 5. Last week I told Emily her 10 year GC would probably take at least 6 to 9 months to get approval not because anything was wrong but just the way USCIS works. Today she said my estimation was way wrong but then I reminded her what an outstanding character of man her husband is...hence the fast turnaround
  6. Here's our updated I-751 timeline: 05/31/09 - Sent I-751 petition to USCIS 06/08/09 - Received NOA letter 06/20/09 - Recieved ASC Biometrics Appt Letter 07/08/09 - Biometrics Appt at the Oakland ASC 07/25/09 - Petition to remove conditional resident APPROVED! (letter recieved on 7/31) 07/28/09 - Card production ordered (received email status on 7/29) The entire process took less than 60 days. Has anyone else experienced such a fast turnaround? 2 years ago I had a friend that went thru' the same process...it took 13 months for her to get the approval! Is USCIS really getting more efficient?
  7. Thanks Mike! I'm sure yours are speeding along as well! One more thing...we were pleasantly surprised by the efficient service and polite/positive attitude encountered at the Oakland Application Support Center. Many years ago I had my biometrics appt at the same ASC and was treated like a second class citizen. Very glad my wife didn't have to go thru' that.
  8. On 5/31/09 - exactly 90 days before my wife's 2 year green card expires we mailed the I-751 form and all supporting documents to USCIS. On 6/8/09 we received the NOA letter (I-751 Receipt Notice). On 6/20/09 we received the ASC Appointment Notice. Wife's Biometrics was scheduled for 7/18/09. I accompanied Emily to the Application Support Center at Oakland. In and out within 20 minutes, no lines at all! This morning (7/29/09) we received an email update from CRIS: ============ *** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL *** The last processing action taken on your case Receipt Number: WAC0XXXXXXXXX Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED Current Status: Card production ordered. 9. The Yangs will take good care of you folks...as they did for us 28 months ago! Send our warmest regards to Mr. and Mrs. Yang...and the baby too!! Clement & Emily
  10. Congrats! Now begins the rest of your wonderful life together!!
  11. This is one of the best (Joyoung CTS1038 2.4 Liter Filterless Soy Milk Maker) - http://english.hsuginseng.com/product/Prod...ctsID=107838470 We've been using it for the past 6 months and loved it. It makes 2.4 liters of rich and creamy soy milk or any other types of nuts you put in.
  12. Just like everyone else waiting at the airport for their friends & families, you'll have to wait at the gates of the arrival hall.
  13. It seems to me when the VO ask those silly questions, he/she is attempting to test/read the interviewee's response- not how the question is answer but rather how the interviewee reacts to the question(s) via body language, facial expression, non verbal clues...etc. Sometimes what you didn't say speaks the loudest and unfortunately some VO may use it against the interviewee...fair or unfair. Just IMO.
  14. Let the record shows...the collective experience/knowledge of CFL members far outweighs any unnamed "embassy employee".
