  1. I'll try to create the mood for him to talk about his work then I'll be sure he is not "bao er nai" while he is outside home
  2. A 20-year-old girl attracts more Chinese men. A 30-year-old or 40-year-old attracts more western men. So Miss 20-year-old is Miss China, Miss 30-year-old or 40-year-old is Miss Universe. Some of my friends in 30s feel they are very old: kids are small, financial stress. Some of my friends in 40s feel the beginning of their life: kids grown up, financially old enough to make themselves beautiful.
  3. Back to the original post, with the software Photoshop, the photographer can make my figure like Gong Li. ±ø²»ÑáÕ©! There are men who are obsessed with the "art of life" women apply, otherwise he'd think a woman average, ordinary, unattractive. In most of the cases, this "art of life" is not harmful .
  4. I was told by some female friends that AsianFriendFinder is a disappointing website. Personally, I don't like www.chineselovelinks.com. It seems to me quite a few men I met there are not normal emotionally.
  5. Well, her loved one got all the candies and is enjoying the candies. Why bother to take pics of the candies and show to someone else?
  6. It's very funny American soldiers mocked the accent of British officers -- the tune is very high
  7. I was told my Chinese accent sexy. I'm comfortable with my southern Chinese accent. When I see movies, I always feel Italian accent sexy. When I saw movies of WW II, I always think it funny when American soldiers mocked British accent. I think accent makes a language colorful
  8. The majority of Chinese women don't have the courage to get nude photos taken. A few young girls did that - it is so rare that if anyone has nude wedding, nude photos, the medium made it a big issue. I've read a few on internet. I gave a photographer so many customers that he offered to take free sexy photos for me but I had no mood (I have the courage, just no mood, no motivation ) so I recommended a young girl who wants to be a fashion model for underwear series. This girl told me that there was another woman in the studio who got nude photos taken and she is someone's concubine. In south China, if a woman has a collection of porn DVD's or nude photos, I tend to question her occupation.
  9. English as 2nd language, we'd interprete it for chicken ass, bull's testicles on our dinner table.
  10. There is no $1500 dowry......I'm giving Mama and Baba an envelope with a lucky amount in each...which add up to another lucky number.....it's nowhere near $1500.....and she owes no one for posting profiles, etc....she wrote her own, posted on a couple of free sites....one of which we met on... It is her first marriage.....but no dowry has been asked for, or even suggested....it's like pulling teeth to even get them to let me spend the money on the "wedding".... Steve I don't think she is referring to your post. Right. Sorry for miscommunication. I was referring to the original post. I guess the beneficiary needs translation for communication.
  11. Unless it is the first time she gets married, otherwise the parents don't tend to ask for dowry of $1,500. Or is this $1,500 she paid someone for posting her profile, communication with you all the time?
  12. Since she chose the road of Chinese literature, it's a lonely long road, ¹ÂÉí×ßÎÒ· gu shen zou wo lu. I admire and adore her perseverance and wish her success. I had dreamed to become a novelist when I was at high school and college, but I just took a shortcut simply because it's easier to find a job if one excels in English in China. I like her story of Xu Shuang.
  13. Pu er tea is considered "mild". In Guangzhou, senior citizens like Pu er tea. Green tea is supposed to wash the oil along your digestive system. Fat citizens like me prefer green tea.
  14. YOu mean Chinese characters? Do you have an architectural background?
  15. I believe all of them work Everyone's SO is different. Young beautiful girls may be more demanding sometimes.
  16. Since TV became popular in China, we saw people on TV, like soccer team won a game, someone won a campaign, they gave V sign before camera. V sign is a sign for picture taking. If I ask my brother's wife why she gave me a V sign, she'll say that's for picture taking--everybody else does this Double V sign, tu zi is Chinese invention - she feels happy, fun.
  17. What if your teenager daughter gave the same V sign? Does it mean "I have helped my mother hook a laowai successfully"?
  18. I don't think she will be able to reenter US. I was told it took 48 hours to fly from China to the border of US then back to China , and it took a week to fly from China to the border of UK then back to China cuz their Imigration may detain the visa scammer for a few days.
  19. Maybe, she's calling out another man's name? So you guys had to invent words like honey bunny, darling, sweetie, babe - good for anyhone you are with.
  20. No, this is not part of culture, but part of his WIFE. If my SO flies half the world to me, I'd prefer more time and space for ourselves instead of showing off by inviting dozens of friends and relatives to our home. I've observed British guys are not so tolerant. I'll tell you the story: A British guy flew to Guangzhou to be with his wife. The wife invited dozens of friends to show off and also for the purpose of marketing. The wife got commission from the dating service company by introducing women to them. Phone calls the whole day, dinner parties everyday. Now the guy insisted on a divorce.
  21. Mainland China uses simplified written Chinese. Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao use traditional Chinese. The problem is Hong Kong, Taiwan use different computer programs for Chinese characters. The Chinese characters from Taiwan, HK come out "error code" (luan ma) and I cannot read it at all. So we usually exchange emails in English among Chinese people.
  22. Major dialects of China: In Hong Kong, Macao, Guangdong province and most part of Guangxi, people speak Cantonese. In south Fujian (near Xia Men) and Taiwan, people speak Taiwanese, min nan hua, but in Fuzhou area, people speak Fuzhou dialect which is different from Taiwanese. Other parts of China are supposed to speak Mandarin but there are hundreds of dialects in mid, south and southeast China. You remind me "Talk of Wind"
  23. Your life is getting normal. This is what I want to hear. Your story has racked my nerves a lot but I appreciate you let the gals who are still in China know what happened to you.
