  1. My wife has had her two year green card for a little over a year now, but my company is thinking about sending us back to Beijing to work in my office there again for one year. We will still have a home and property here in the USA, and file taxes. If I was running for Mayor of Chicago the Supreme Court says I would be OK but what about getting her conditions removed? I'm sure we could arrange to come back for the interview. What problems are we looking at if we do this? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the info! We would be returning to the USA a couple of times a year to see family. Would I need I-131's for these? Yes, we would keep our home here and pay taxes as well I beleave, personal property for sure. My company will be handling the income taxes, not sure how that would work but I could still file even if all my income was in South Africa. "A Green-card is for permanent residency in the USA, it is not a permanent "Visa" We went back to China this spring and plan on just her going to China by herself this winter for the new year. We had no problem coming back in this spring, do I need to do anything for her trip this winter?
  3. I'm thinking about taking a two year assignment in South Africa starting in Dec. My wife will have one year left on her two year Green Card before we can apply to have conditions removed. What does this mean to us if I take this assignment? We could return to the USA for 10 year GC interview if needed. Some people say we would have to start all over, I guess with a K3, if she not in the USA when the 2 year GC runner out. Is this true?
  4. "This is the icing on the cake....someone from GZ called my fiances cell phone and said they were from the post office and they needed to deliver a international package to her ex-husband. It just so happened that her ex was coming to see my stepson that weekend. So being nice and trying to keep the peace she said they could deliver the package to her house. Well when no package ever came she then started to wonder why this was. She looked up the number on her on-line account and saw the prefix was GZ. She gave me the number and I called the number. It turns out that the number was the Consulate in GZ. " This one should be pinned under "Trix from GZ".
  5. I must admit this was the most hassle of the enter visa process. Don't go to Dr. Herbert E. Hall in Lee's Summit Mo. I should have realized this as soon I as I talked to the crazy women who answers his phone. $100 wasted! Do go to Dr. Steven W. Gordon 4745 W. 136th St, Leawood, KS 913-787-5805 His wife answers the phone and is very understanding and helpful. The Dr. is too because his father was an immigrant so he does this work because of that, not for the money! $100 and well worth it!
  6. Way to go! It will be a spring to remember. Now you get to move on to the next step, AOS.
  7. "get a 2 year multiple entry visa " How do I ask for this, the Chinese visa form only shows up to one year. Thanks!
  8. I getting ready to apply for another (forth) one year multi enter visa. In the past two were taken care of by my company once in China, and the last one by my request to see my work FRIENDS ; v ) in China. Now I'm just going there on holiday with my wife and plan on going at least another time this year. Any problem attaching my wife's information to this, what kind of information or should I just continue with the work friend thing? The reason I ask this is as we were leaving China with her K1 visa the passport inspector made a couple of phone calls before stamping the visa. I was starting to sweat. Any one had any problems using your wife as a reason for a one year multi entry visa to china?
  9. Sorry to hear about your BLUE. Get your papers together and plan for Monday's ACH. In the mean time! I know this may seem a little difficult right now but remember you are getting to spend time with your girl friend, have a good time until Monday. They have a great amusement park on the out skirts of town, go for a ride on a river boat and of coarse there is always shopping. Enjoy your time together!
  10. Li Hong got her Green Card in the mail today. That's FAST!
  11. We received Li Hong's "Welcome To America" letter last night without an interview. She is now a permanent resident w/conditions. BTW, What are the conditions? Staying married to me? Ha! Ha! Total process time one year and one month. Now what will I worry about??? I must admit everything went like clock work. Thanks to everyone on CFL for their support and help.
  12. Will they mail this to us or do we need to make another trip to there office?
  13. We got a notice that Li Hong's I-131 is approved. What do we do now? What do them give her to re-enter the USA or do we just show them the letter? Thanks!
  14. We payed the $1010 for the AOS I-485, I-131 and I-765. When we went in for her finger printing they did not request any additional payment. I took a long the $80 anyway just incase.
  15. I'm very happy for the both of you. Every time I read about other's interviews and flying to America it reminds me of Li Hong's and my experiance, and all the great memories. Never let the spark leave your relationship, it's priceless!
  16. Congratulations!!! Good Luck with your new family!
  17. We got our I-131 receipt yesterday stating 60 to 90 days of process time. I was wondering what CLF members has seen in the past for true process times. We were hoping to go to China for the new Year in Feb but this may not be possible if the I-131 is not done before Feb 1st. Thanks!
  18. I know we are smile in our picture but our hearts go out to you and the girls. Keep shooting for the stars, your dreams will come true.
  19. 6 Months, Very Good Now for the AOS! Congratulation!
  20. Well I picked up her sealed envolope last Friday from the second CS, so we are ready to try this again. Now where did I put that $1,010.00????
  21. Here is a new twist, I went to the new Dr. and he said sense she was eligible to receive the second round of the series of shoots she needed to get them before he would sign off on the vaccination portion of the I-693. He said immigration might reject it if she didn't have shoots she was eligible to get at this time. She will still need the third testiness shoot to fulfill the obligation of the vaccinations. We hustled from one side of KC to the other and back to make him happy, with a phone call from the Jackson Co. Health Dept nurses to him because they were not aware of this procedure. The Dr.s wife/assistant told them were to find these "new?" requirement to update their procedure sheet. I just want it to be over!
  22. WOW! Thank, I missed that one. That's the problem with the internet, old information never goes away. I even had the old instruction I read to the Dr. on why I only needed the supplement. If you knew what I had to go though to get the supplement done. WOW! Not the Dr. but his office worker, I think it must be his wife. No one would have someone like this meeting and talking to people on the phone. She referred to Li Hong's Passport and Immunization records as JUNK! I just called her again to explain what I needed, she went off "I told you, you need the whole exam and pay us $160". I said no, I just need the same information filled out on the I-693 form that I paid you $100 for. Luckily she is going to have the Dr. call me to see if we can work it out. In the mean time I called another Dr. who receptionist understood what I need and was very helpful, the Dr. father was an immigrant so he is very sympathetic to my problem and only $48 to fill it out.
  23. AOS papers getting ready to go out. OK, let me make sure I have this thing correct. 1. Only need "Suppletmentel Form To I-693"? No need to submit any part of the I-693 form because she had her exame in China less than one year ago? I will include a copy of that. 2. Only pay $1010 for all of this? The other fees (I-131 and I-765) are waved becuase she is doing a K-1 AOS? 3. 2 passport photos for I-485, 2 for I-131 and 2 for I-765. 6 total? 4. Mail all of this to : USCIS P.O. BOX 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4120 5. Make two copies of everything! I got the C 9 thing! Thanks!!!
  24. I'm a little late with my congratulations, but I hope it all works out and I think it will. My office in Beijing is still closed until Monday. Good Luck!
