I'm getting my folders ready for my flight to Beijing next week. What size pass hole are we talking about? Does it go under the window so nothing hard a flat will go through it? Or is it just a 3"x12" hole? I had planned on using a hard 3 ring photo album but it sounds like that won't work. I had planned on the four folder plan one with her papers (birth certificate, divorce papers, medical...) one with I-134 papers (company letter, bank letter, pay stubs....) one with EOR letter (copy of passport, plane tickets, pictures...) one with odds and ends (my divorce paper, letter from her ex....)

We will be staying at the Grand Palace from 07/19 to 07/23, after that we might go stay at Victory Hotel on Shamian Island until the visa is ready.

Two things: 1. After all this a $5 cup of coffee is cheep! 2. They will have a hard time getting my ass out of any chair I'm in...mildly hassled. I have been ask to leave better places.

I'm going to work in China for a month after our interview. How long is the visa good for to enter the USA? I thought six months from a time line chart I got from VJ but read on a visa help site four months. Look around with no help. Thanks!

Welcome to the 4th floor coffee club. That's four of us on the 23rd. All, I got good news over the weekend. I will work in Beijing for the month of Aug, not much work here in the USA at the moment. I hope to get to meet the in-laws with the extended stay (Jiling) and maybe some weekend trips (Tinsing). More Chinese food for ME!

Lots of talk about EOR and notarizing. First, what exactly should be in this EOR letter, is there an example out there? I am updating my letter of "Circumstances Under Which We Met" that I sent in with I-129F and adding my recent trips to China. She will have pictures, phone record and plane/hotel receipts with her. Second, I plan to get EOR notarized here in the USA before flying over in two weeks. Anything wrong with this? I do plan on attending the ACH but not ACS.

"get Married in China in case we get the Dreaded White Paper" "if you get married you will have to start all over again" I don't understand? I plan to do the same thing if we get white. I didn't know there was any other choice. Until recently I got the feeling that white were never returned to US, never mind the US changing the decision! Here's dates from someone who recently sent in I-130 14 Mar 09 I-129f sent 29 June 09 Pink! Not bad! What other options are realistic if we get white?

Li Hong got her medical exam today in Beijing. She said it took all day and she had to go to the hospitals at St Regis hotel and one by the Olympic Village each twice. They are about half an hour apart. She said there were lots of people waiting but she was "very fast!" She got two injections, and received her yellow book and red book(?), not sure what that one is. Anyway she's "very happy" she got "no problem" papers form hospital. Last step is the interview!

Dave&Hong, When do you plan on arriving in Guangzhou?

I though I would start a post so that those with interviews the fourth week of July could use it to track were we are, what we are doing and were we are staying that week of the interview. I hope we can get together to exchange ideas and information that week. I haven't picked a place to stay while in GUZ but after reviewing posts may move around a bid for the 10 days we're there. So far these are the ones of us with interviews that week: Jerry & Xiaomin 7/20/09 Henry and Mei 7/22/09 AReynolds 7/23/09 YiandE (Eric) 7/23/09 Bill & LiHong 7/23/09 I am arriving in GUZ 7/19 and leaving 7/29 and attending ACH that Monday. Yes I suggested we all where a pink rose to identify each other but maybe a pink shirt would be more appropriate. I know pink on a man is very macho in China. I'm planning on getting a pink suit made for Li Hong in the next couple of weeks. I don't want the VO to misunderstand why we are there. Li Hong will be going to have her medical exam next week while in Beijing. I'm having a friend of mine there look over the forms first. It's less than a month away and if the rest of you are like me it's on my mind constantly. Let me here from the rest of you or if there is someone I missed!

Li Hong is going to get her Medical Exam in Beijing before we go to GUZ. I got this list off of FAQ but it's for CR-1. What is differnet for K-1 visa? Items to be put into the medical envelope for CR1: Two MORE (total of 4) photos DS-230 Part II (only for CR1) Divorce document (IMMIGRANT'S only) Police cert Marriage cert birth cert A COPY of the bio. pages of the passport- actual PP was checked and returned (if applicable police record) Family Composition form (for 16 and older) medical exam certification sheet Also received the x-ray. Note: - CR/IR-1 or 2 : IF any shot records are in hand- take such to the physical. - No need to show a visa fee receipt. This was paid at NVC. Thanks!

Don't know about you but if sh!t hits the fan, I'm getting married in China on this trip and then file CR-1 when I get back to the USA alone. If that's the case with you then at least you parents would be able to attend the wedding as it were. Chunk!Chunk! Chunk! RED BOOK!

Is there a $400 fee for K1 also or is this paid after marriage in the USA?

We will be flying into GUZ on the 19th and I will be attending ACH on the 20th. Areynolds and YiandE should be there too. Still waiting to hear from HenryandMie. They sent off P3 the same time we did. Maybe we can all get together to help celibrate your PINK Monday night!
