Dude, Just don't take it personally. They're not worth it. IMHO, if you could get the Chinese Public Security Bureau to write a notarized statement about her non-involvement in the CCP, that would seal the deal. The Folks at Guz are typical bureaucrats, so you have to overwhelm them with certificates, forms, paperwork, and more paperwork to get your case approved. It brings to mind the kitchen sink approach. PS) After my SO's interview, she sold all the "valuable" paperwork (MSN chat logs, phone card logs, etc) to a paper recycler in GUZ for 50RMB She said that paperwork was as heavy as her luggage. -
Dental hygiene and dental care in China.
wpc76180 replied to Dennis143's topic in Culture & Language Discussion
Folks in China don't care about dental care. I found the average Chinese just don't want to spend the money or time. So, by 30 years old or even earlier, most folks have 3-5 fillings, gum disease, crowns, etc etc. My SO at 25 has 2 crowns! She's only paying 900RMB and she's telling me it's expensive I am saving a root-canal fund for her future dental bills because I don't see my dental insurance picking up a lot of the fees. -
Rude Immigration Employees
wpc76180 replied to artmill4's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
Unfortunately, this is prevalent across all levels of civil service in the state and federal govt. It's because the employees have no incentive, or initiative, or need, to be better and nicer at serving the public. They will get paid whether they are nice or not. Their supervisors don't care because their bosses (directors and above) are mostly political appointees who abuse their positions as much as they can, i.e. sneaking out during a work day for golf, fishing, and 3 hour lunches, etc etc -
A 3 year old will put *anything* into his mouth. If you can afford it, rent a new place. The risk is not worth it.

Go to: http://boards.immigrationportal.com/ Very detailed and informative and best of all, it's FREE Best strategy is to get her over as a student (F-1). Studying English for example. ESL courses are cheap. Shortest time, easiest paperwork.

If the Permanent Resident wishes to remain outside US and it's territories for longer than 2 years, apply for a I-131 Re-Entry Permit before you leave.

Trigg, What is a tracer? How did you file a request with the USCIS? -
For crying out loud....use a pen. Just write slowly and legibly and use uppercase letters. If you make a mistake, just use correction fluid. We used a pen and we got the visa.
