  1. Hong long before your wife got a job? and where and how did she apply for that position? Thanks JR
  2. I have no problem with my English. I speak English since I was little. But most jobs that is interesting to me here in Pennsylvania is looking for someone who has experience. I am so bored staying at home now. I am used of working, I hate being independent. I've searced thru websites but I can't find my luck. I understand there is always a time for everything. I wish I can have a job soon. JR
  3. Guys, what have you been doing now that you are in the US? Have you started looking for a job, still looking for a job, or already has a job? Anyone share please? I want to work, but have not found a good one yet. Any advice? Thanks JR
  4. I already received my ss number, we went to the ssa office to personally apply to get a number, after a week, we received the ss number and yesterday, the green card arrived. Great! JR
  5. Received the green card yesterday......yeheeeeey. My guess is that IR1 takes longer to received their green card as it is a 10yr card, than the CR1 as it has an expiration date that lasts for 2 yrs. My friend entered US in April 6 thru California, and the Officer told her that her green card will take about 6 months. She is an IR1. JR
  6. Thanks for the great info guys. I think, if we don't receive the ss card this week we may as well go to the ss office. However, we received a wellcome notice today that was great. Well, no greencard yet. JR
  7. Hello guys, I arrived here in USA on March 28. and until now I haven't got my green card and ss# in the mail. When do you think I should receive? For those CR1 who are already in the USA could you give me any idea and what did you do please? Thank you. JR
  8. Congratulation and goodluck on the rest of your journey. JR
  9. Thanks to all of you CFLers, you were a part of this success, without you I wouldn't have any idea of how visa immigration goes. thanks JR
  10. Hello guys, My interview went fine and I was granted the visa (CR1). I was asked so many questions. They questioned me so fast that I have to answer it quickly looking thru their eyes. First they took my index finger print on a machine, after that they let me sit and wait. Then after 30 minutes, the woman called me and asked; the name of my petitioner, how we met how many times he visits me, if I was married before, she asked me about my US visit before, what is my husband’s job, phone number, how often we talk, if he has kids. After another 30 minutes, the final interview was with the VO. I took an oath and he asked my husbands name, where we get married, how we met, what website, how many kids does he has, what are their names, he asked me about my US visit before, how many years I’ve been living here in Hong Kong, what work am I going to have in the US, my husbands job, He looked at our wedding album turning from page to page, and he said that we have a very nice wedding. Then after that he said……congratulation, I don’t see any problem with your papers, so we will issue you the visa. He gave me the yellow card to pay for my visa delivery. I was so proud of myself that I was full of confidence during my interview and I did not get nervous at all, though I was beforehand. On my way home, I thank God so much as he helped me on this day of my interview. JR
