2. Homemade...... Ground Beef "Old El Passo" Taco shells "Pace" taco seasoning mix Cheddar/Jack blend cheese Tomatoes Lettuce Thats all we had on them. She broke out within 4 to 6 hours after. Next morning eyes almost swell shut. 209673 Yes, see an allergist ASAP. These kinds of reactions can be VERY dangerous if the swelling occurs in her throat, it can make breathing very difficult. Meanwhile, if you can't get many traditional foods, fresh vegetables (steamed) with rice should be very safe. Fresh fruits too. -James
3. And make sure noone but you has slept on the mattress either!!! If an ex- or a girlfriend has been on your mattress, it is also very unlucky. 209021 Yes, everything from the bed EXCEPT the solid oak headboard (not attached anyways) will go. I plan to have a new mattress, box springs and frame delivered just before her arrival. I will replace the frame later with a custom job that I will build holding underbed storage boxes. -James

10. Yes, indeed. Also, there is really no way of telling whether or not we're getting good information, although much of it looks on target. Case in point, David's question was answered by GUZ today, but contradicts both the information on their website, and what many have been doing. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17366 208589 In the case of a directly contradictory response, I think that BOTH the english and chinese forms should be filled out. AND maybe print this topic from CFL and have it on board too. -James
11. Great job Jesse! Not only is this a GREAT service to the CFL community, it is less fattening than Cheetos. Low salt too.... -James
12. I am so sorry, hang in there! You will find your way through, I know you will! -James
13. Yes. BEST Wishes!!!! And, I do believe that it is Today! Don't forget that tomorrow is really today in China. They should be at the consulate now, or very soon. -James

16. Congratulations! How good this must feel! -James
17. Hello, You should go to your representatives local office and talk to the person directly that handles immigration inquiries. Get a commitment for a status back from them. I have all these addresses and phone numbers ready in case I hit a glitch. -James
18. BTW, I have already agreed that when Loving Candle and I buy our China home in the town where her family is, that it will be new... -James
19. Hello, Just because a house is new in the USA is no guarantee it will not have problems. What you should do is decide how much you can reasonably afford to pay. Then make a satisfactory full inspection by a licensed home inspector a condition of any escrow you enter into. If you can afford a new home, go for it. If not, most first-time buyers that have not inherited a LARGE sum of money will buy an existing home. -James
20. Good luck and my best wishes for you in this. -James
21. Hi Ken, Well, east / west is not going to happen, but the wall just grew to ceiling height and the fan will now be over our bed. We are emailing a design in CorelDraw back and forth and we will finish it this weekend. (I hope!) I will meet with the contractor new week to firm up the wall's location. I MAY put a dogleg in the wall so that the wall can be narrower and I will probably move the bed off center since the contractor says we can move the window over the bed a little... Details.... -James
22. Lol, I just came here to open this EXACT topic. Let me say that if any of you that don't have your SO here yet have a bed that faces a door or a mirror you should rethink that strategy since you have an 'unlucky bed'. AND an unlucky bed will have an unhappy wife in it.... MY room addition design just acquired a wall between the bed and the entry door. The wall will be far enough from the bed so an entertainment center will fit easily there and a large bookshelf will go on the other side. The wall will NOT go to ceiling height, because we have a ceiling fan there in the current design. If there is not enough room from the top of the entertainment center, then we will lose the ceiling fan I guess. More planning coming... -James
23. Congratulations! And yes, I am jealous too! Good luck, I am sure all will be well for you. -James
